Hello! I'll be working up a sheet, but can I claim the boy from District 5?

I don't think that position is filled. *runs to check*
Edit: I believe it's open. But don't quote me on it. And Seryna I hope I'm still being helpful.

No, Boy from 5 is certainly open. Go crazy. I will also fix up the first post to make it more clear whose taken. The only positions that are not open that haven't been posted in here is Tehrat's career female, so we need one slot open for her. Cutelikemurder, I'm about to promote to you #HungerGames officiator Keep it up

Grrbot, I apologize but I misheard the person who claimed a career. She wants her char to be district 2. Would you mind being District 1 or 3?

Hi Grrbot! I see that Strength is your 5 section, Presence is your 3, which makes Intelligence your 4 section. You have 2 dots there right now, so you can place 2 more. Your mental skills are at 8, your Physical skills are at 7 and your social skills are at 6. You can have 4 dots, 7 dots or 11 dots in these areas. I have made more indepth explainations here: shadowclaw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hunger&action=display&thread=9082 Go ahead and look it over and post to that thread when you have a question or update your thread. The district is reserved for you

BackstoryIf you ask anyone in District 5 about Luci Scarlett, the response is probably going to be "Who?" If you ask about the girl who is currently climbing up the sides of the machinery to run wires and fix things, you'll probably get, "Oh yeah, her." Frustrating considering that Luci's almost positive he's a boy, or at least the plumbing checks out. Small, thin, and delicate, Luci looks more feminine than the girl who came along with him. It's something he was teased about for years, but he's found that when he's up high enough, none of that can touch him. That the words no longer matter. It doesn't matter that he's just one boy against the world. Up here he can do something that no one else can. They're going to miss him when he's gone. They just don't know it yet. No one else can get up here without time and machinery. No one else can climb like he can or fit into tight spaces. He has his job and he does it well. Who needs people when you have that? Sheet

This looks like a great character. Jasmine Cloverfield is accepted! I'll be adding her name to the Tribute Gear list. Feel free to jump into the Training Center, Training Center lunch and I'll make her a mentor thread asap. If you have any questions, come on down to the ooc.

ThrallHistoryThrall doesn't know his birth name, or who his parents were. His first memory is of waking up near the slag heap, in the smoke of a mine collapse. He was six. Presumably the child of one of the miners, Thrall fled past the fence at the edge of District 12 and into the woods. He survived, barely, starving most of the time, and living primarily on his wits, and sheer luck as to what was edible, and what wasn't. He should have died when winter came, and the frost set in, but he was lucky, after a fashion. Another trapper found him and snuck him back to the District, but by then the damage was done. Something irreversible had broken in the boy's mind, and he could barely understand people. And without family, there would be no medicine for an apothecary. He was sent to the children's home, where he picked up the name due to his strange habit of staying very, very still and watching the other unfortunate kids. He also had a distinct tendancy to sneak out, back to the woods. The orphanage didn't complain about that too much, because he brought back his kills, but he disturbed the organisers. Schooling was impossible. Although he was of completely ordinary intelligence, as far as anyone could tell, he barely spoke and paid little attention in class. It almost came as a relief to the people of District 12 when his name was chosen- not because they wanted him dead, but because it seemed so much kinder to send a parentless, strange child off than someone who's loss would cut so much deeper. Not that there was outright cruelty, or that they didn't hope he would live. They simply felt, that deep down, it was just... better him than someone else. AppearanceThrall stands at 5'11, but he seems drawn out and too thin. His dark hair is messy and unkempt, and he tends to stare too much with his extremely pale grey eyes. He rarely speaks. There are a multitude of small, pale scars on his body from a life time of hunting for game in the woods beyond the boarders of District 12.

KaleHistoryKale never wanted to have anything to do with the Hunger Games, she had known that from a very early age - before even learning of the political reasoning behind it, and coming up with mortal objections for its existence. She had grown up with the Hunger Games after her mother succeeded in winning the 6th. From the moment she could understand that was a huge thing, both her parents had drummed it into her that if she was chosen, she would win, win, win. And from the moment she realised that was all her parents cared about, Kale despised it on principle. But she was smart enough to keep this opinion to herself. To say a word against the Games was akin to committing murder under her parents' roof. So, as trainer after trainer was sent to teach her to fight, Kale kept her mouth shut and learnt, and learnt. She had hoped when her sister was born, some of pressure would shift away, but this was not the case. On the other hand, if she died in the Hunger Games, at least she'd finally get a chance to rest. When her name was drawn, it seemed inevitable, really. Had she not been whisked away, her parents would probably have been throwing a party in celebration. Heck, they were probably celebrating right now. They didn't care about her so much as the family name and the prestige it would bring to have a mother-daughter victor pair. AppearanceKale stands at 5'8, but stands with a slight hunch, as if trying to make herself shorter. Her mother constantly drills it into her to stand up straight with her head high, so she tends to do the exact opposite. Her eyes are brown, and her hair is straw-blonde. She's a perfect blend of both her parents, with her father's strength and her mother's stature.
