"What will they think of next..." Kris mutters to himself. He hands the player back to the attendant. "Does this creature have any weakness to speak of? I mean, I know that I certainly don't want to fight one of these head on, but if I'm ever caught unawares do I have any options that would be better to focus on? From the video, it seems as though climbing a tree didn't do enough to get away from it."

Olivia looked at Greene like he was insane. How was she supposed to do that with weights strapped to her ankles? It seemed impossible given her level of strength. Still, she strapped the weights to her legs and tried to lift her legs. She was sweating already and her stomach was sore. She'd act Lorne and Mel for some balm to relax her muscles. Everything would be sore but her abdomen left like there were lumps of rock under the skin. She tried to lift her legs, telling herself that she could do this. But the first sets of 10 was impossible. And second she had an easier time. And for the third and final set she summoned her strength and finished it with beads of sweat rolling down her face. “Oh... The One forbid me from ever doing that again...” Olivia rolled 2 dice to "Str+Ath-3" 4,7 (0 successes) Olivia rolled 2 dice to "Str+Ath-3" 8,9 (2 successes) Olivia rolled 2 dice to "Str+Ath-3+Will" 6,2,3,10,7,8 (2 successes)

At first, she assumed that it wouldn’t be too taxing, but then she remembered her previous struggles. Riven was already starting to ache, and she knew that it would be foolish to assume that Greene would give her something easier to do now. On the contrary, she had the sneaking suspicion that he was trying to test her. This she liked. It was difficult, and Riven knew she was getting exhausted. She copied what Greene had demonstrated, feeling her muscles scream at her to stop. She didn’t back down, Riven continued with the exercises until she was done. “I am finished.” She said finally, panting a little, “Thank you…” [27] Riven Tanzanite rolled 3 dice to "weight station 9" 8,7,4 (1 successes) [27] Riven Tanzanite rolled 3 dice to "weight station 8" 7,5,3 (0 successes)

Caleb: Tree Course
"You definitely want to get your hands on some flip line in the arena. You're a natural, Caleb"
He assisted the young tribute in getting out of the saddle, dropping it down to the gear. "Let me show you the last two trees." He stated, leading Caleb to a tree four feet away. This one is covered with some slick, moist moss that makes grasping it difficult.
"You can use pitons and a hammer to make handholds." He explained, but he doesn't slow. It doesn't look like a demonstration is likely to come on this one.
The last tree was an oak with nice, low hanging branches. Caleb would notice that something wispy and white trails between some of the branches.
"Simulated spider web." He explained. "Keep that knife that I loaned you for it. Fire also works nicely. "
He turned so Caleb could see the whole line of trees. "This line of trees is part of an obstacle course. Start at the first tree and work your way back towards me. If you're feeling brave, you can attempt to stay off of the ground with this."
He offered Caleb a length of flipline and a grappling hook attachment. "It works for swinging between the trees, but you can descend to the ground if you're more comfortable. Do you have any questions?
[Make 4 rolls of Dex + Athletics - 3 and one Strength + Athletics -3 to make a run through]
Kris: Animal Identification
The Trainer mulled over Kris' questions. Then he spoke. "The tribute that fought this mutt shot out it's eyes. And it's sense of hearing isn't too great. If you see this but it doesn't notice you, your best bet if you aren't a fighter is to retreat silently. But if you want to engage it, the skin is very tough. The eyes the are going to be the weak points. As well as it's mouth. But it's a difficult shot."

Zale: Endurance Course Kim was standing at the opening to the pool as Zale exited it, a wide smile on her face. She turned away and pointed at a line nearly half a mile away. "Thirty seconds to catch your breath, then beat your feet to the finish line as fast as you can." She waited thirty seconds, exactly, and shouted: "Go!" [Stamina + Athletics, 10 Suxx total, fewer rolls getting to 10 = running the half mile faster] Olivia: Weight Training Greene directed Ashlyn over to the pull up station, adding a set of ankle weights to the girl for added resistance. "Slow up and down, and get full extension," he told her before returning to Olivia with a smile. "How're we doing here?" He waited just long enough to hear her answer before tugging the ankle weights off and guiding her to a bench with a place to hook her feet so she could effectively do situps there. With a flick of a knob, the bench inverted enough that someone sitting on it could make a full extension back below the point of her hips. "Alright, we've hit almost all the core muscle groups for you. Next, I want you to sit here, hook your feet, and lean back as far as you naturally can without straining yourself, then sit back up and twist as you do so. If it's too easy, I'll get you a weight. As before, three sets of ten." [Three rolls: Strength + Athletics - 3] Riven: Brawl The trainer smiled at Riven as she approached. "Welcome! Let's get you started on a couple basic drills to assess where you're at before putting you through the ringer. Come over to the punching bag." [Strength + Brawl, 3 rolls] If this isn't where Riven was goin', let me know and I'll edit it to match.
Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb smiled and took the flipline and grappling hook. This was going to be fun. He smiled at Nate once more. "I'll see if I can't stay atop there. See you at the end."Caleb took a breath, looped the the flipline around his shoulder, tucked the knife and grappling hook into his belt, and took a running jump at the first tree. He spent a few quick moments as he heads up the tree trunk, hands pulling himself up, holding himself in place for a moment as he cut the webs away, then back up. After less than a minute, he'd gotten to the top and looked at the four trees ahead. He smiled, sprinting out along one long branch. He tugged the flipline and grappling hook out and slung it along up into the branches of the next tree before taking a leap forward and swinging safely to the next tree. He took a moment to recoil the rope and grappling hook before taking off for the next tree. In a handful of minutes he was descending the last tree before Nate. Zale Sewell; District Four's Male Warrior for the Battle: The Fortuneteller's Son "What is dead may never die." Zale took his breaths, waiting the full thirty seconds after pulling himself out of the water. Instead of stopping completely, Zale walked in a circle, eying up the track he'd have to run while keeping himself 'warm', as it were. Better than stopping and starting. So long as he kept moving, there would be no cramping. And when he was told to run, Zale took off in a dead sprint toward the finish. It felt odd to run like this. In shoes and with no resistance. Running on sand was difficult, but it helped build up muscle and speed.... ...Which was why it was easy to sprint. Because there was no resistance. So stinging heat beneath his feet. No having to dig into the ground in order to get traction. He could only hope that he did this well in the Arena. 2013-04-20 03:37:48 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 6 dice to "Stamina + Athletics" 1,9,2,3,10,3,4 (2 successes) 2013-04-20 03:38:23 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 6 dice to "Stamina + Athletics" 9,10,6,9,3,5,2 (3 successes) 2013-04-20 03:39:01 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 6 dice to "Strength + Athletics" 7,1,10,9,9,9,3 (4 successes) 2013-04-20 03:39:54 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 6 dice to "Stamina + Athletics" 10,10,4,2,9,4,7,9 (4 successes)

“Everything hurts...” Olivia replied. Again, she tried to push through the pain to no avail. The first two sets proved more than she could handle but the third she succeeded in finishing the set. Zale: Shelter Crafting
The shelter crafting trainer greeted Zale as he approached. He was a stout man with a shaved head and rough, calloused hands. "Welcome. I'm glad to see you've expressed interest in crafting shelter within the Arena. It is a very important skill that many overlook."
He guided Zale to a variety of crafting materials ranging from a couple bundles of long grass and poles cut from tree limbs, to roughly hewn shingles crafted from the bark of a few trees. "Come forth and lets see what we can get you started on."
He showed Zale the basics of making a lean-to with the poles.
[Intelligence + Crafts, shooting for 5 initial suxx for creating the first bit of a shelter]
Olivia: Brawl
Greene smiled at Olivia and patted her back. "The ache is a good one. I think for now you should give your muscles a rest. If you want to improve more, return later.
The brawl trainer backed away from Riven, leaving her to punch the bag for a short time. He approached Olivia. "Hands up, let's see those knuckles. Then off to the bag to work a couple simple strikes and we'll go from there into more specific training."

Zale Sewell; District Four's Male Warrior for the Battle: "The Fortuneteller's Son" "What is dead may never die." "I am called Zale. And it can be dangerous, where I live. If one is exposed to the elements for too long, that itself could kill. This one would learn how to protect himself."He knew he spoke oddly, but he hadn't seen the point in changing it. In a few days, he could very well be dead, and he would not spend the last days of his life being someone he wasn't. It just wasn't in him. The poles and tarp and rope are looked over, and it seemed simple enough to do. Zale nodded to the man, and go to work. 2013-04-21 15:08:21 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 4,5,8,8,10,9 (4 successes) 2013-04-21 15:08:58 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 5,7,10,7,4,8 (2 successes)

Caleb: Wits Course "Hello, I am called Siobhan," the trainer said in a Capitol accent. "Please have a seat and well shall begin." Siobhan had Caleb sit in front of a large screen with a small console in front of him. "On the large screen I will show you a picture on the left. Memorize it and when you're ready click the picture and another large picture will appear on the left as well as three smaller pictures on the right. One of those pictures on the right will be the first picture on the left. Select it and repeat the process two more times." [Make 3 rolls of Wits + Resolve] “Thanks Greene,” Olivia said as she rushed over to the Brawl Station. This is where she'd have some fun. Liv wasn't the strongest person in the world and she wasn't the least bit scary. But when she needed to back up her threat with a well place punch, Olivia could hold her own. “Okay,” she told her trainer. “Thank you.”She tried for what her brother called a 1-2-3 combination. The third punch was meant to be the most powerful and it was. Olivia accomplished this task with ease. And the third hit was the most powerful. Which was surprising. She wasn't a brawling. But she could hold her own. Zale: Shelter Crafting "James," the trainer said, introducing himself after Zale finished the lean to. He smiled, clearly not used to having tributes introduce themselves or ask his name. "Good job with this, however the lean to is only a temporary shelter, good for a day or two, and depending on what you gain for materials in the Arena, may not even keep the rain off of you. However, if you get a poncho, or tarp, or the like, it can keep you relatively dry. But a strong wind, or large stone thrown by a tribute, will knock it over. It'll also not keep the bugs out, but barring getting an insect net from your sponsors, there's not a lot to be done with that." James took a breath and smiled again. "Next we'll work on making this a little more sturdy and better able to resist the elements." James smiled and went through the motions of enhancing the basic lean-to he'd made as an example before directing Zale through it as well. [Intelligence + Crafts, 3 rolls, more suxx represents a better structure] Olivia: Brawl The brawl trainer smiled at Olivia's three hit combo. He'd not asked her to do it, but glad to see it regardless. He folded his arms across his chest and grinned. "Brothers? Or bullies?" He waited just long enough for a response before directing her closer to the bag. "Alright, the one-two-three combo is nice for setting someone up while you're closing, but what do you do then you're close enough to kiss? While you're in the pocket, you'll want to throw some different types of strikes. Here I want you to practice striking the bag with elbows, knees, and short hooks. And keep your head moving, no being static here, and keep your hands up, one to defend at all times." [Three rolls: Strength + Brawl -2 for the difficulty of fighting in the pocket] Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb smiled at Siobhan. "I'm Caleb and apologize for the stink I must be working up. Just finished running and climbing and swinging. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Siobhan."He took a seat at the screen, listening to the instructions. He'd played similar games with his sisters, Eliza holding cards for him and he holding cards for Rebecca. And overconfidence was his downfall in the first trial. He looked at a blue-green leaf for five seconds and picked the green-blue leaf on the right. Taking his a touch longer on the second and third trials yielded better results. Zale Sewell; District Four's Male Warrior for the Battle: The Fortuneteller's Son "What is dead may never die." Zale nodded, listening to the instructions and the advice. He well knew that a lean-to would not do much good long term. "The sun can be just as deadly as the rain. In a place with no shade, anything that can shield from the sun is a gift from The One."He was getting tired though. His time at the endurance course had taken a lot out of him, and he faltered through a bit of building at the beginning of securing his lean-to. Still, he thought he did an alright job or replicating what James wanted done. "This is good? She saw Olivia there and she smiled. This was a strange coincidence: they were practicing the exact same things. “I like the way you think, Olivia.” Riven nodded as she passed the girl, before greeting the instructor. She got to work on the punching bag, a powerful punch landing the first time, the second an even more powerful. Caleb: Wits Course Siobhan seemed shocked by but also pleased with Caleb's manners. She liked the way he carried himself despite 'the stink' he had worked up while training. "Likewise, Caleb," she replied. "You faltered but recovered nicely. Let's try it again but on this attempt their will be a time limit." Siobhan demonstrated what was required of Caleb. There were more choices on the right side and the pictures transitioned even if she did not make a selection. [Make 4 rolls of Wits + Resolve - 2 for difficulty] “As they say, Riven... Zale: Shelter Crafting "Very true, and a very astute observation. Should the Arena be a desert, or prone to excessive heat without shade, then lean-to can provide much needed relief," James said. He took a step back, watched Zale work and construct the improvements to the lean-to. "It could use some work, but is a very good first attempt. It's, for the moment, refine on these techniques. Let's see here." He took a closer look, testing various aspects of the tribute's efforts. "You should tie here, tighten this cord here..." James went through a handful of other ways to fix the lean-to. [Intelligence + Craft +1, 3 rolls] Olivia: Brawl The trainer smiled and nodded. "Good, but be careful about judging your distance. I know it can be intimidating staying in close can be devastating. Go ahead and work it again, then step back and practice a few kicks." He stepped back, brought his leg up into a proper chamber and delivered a quick side-kick into the bag. "It's important to chamber before you put the kick out there, and keep in mind that a quick chamber to your kick prepares you for another kick and keeps your leg from being grabbed." He demonstrated a couple different kicks, a front snap kick, circle kick, and roundhouse, explaining how each worked. "Work on those, and I'll be right back to check on your progress." [Four rolls: Strength + brawl - 1] Riven: Brawl The trainer walked over to Riven after giving Olivia a few pointers. He watched the girl throw a few punches smiled. "I can tell you're not a foreigner to these drills, so let's move you to working on a few more advanced techniques and combinations. Let's work, for the moment jab, jab, folding elbow, quick disengage and kick." The trainer went through the drill as he spoke, then once at speed, folding the bag with his side-kick. "Pick your kick according to your distance. Let's see your combos." [Strength + Brawl -1, 4 rolls]
Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb smiled, doing his best to relax. Caleb: Wits Course Siobhan nodded. "Yes, it can be quite difficult indeed. But you have the right thinking; trying to stay relaxed. The mind works better when we are calm." She handed him a small handheld device that was round and flat. There were colored buttons that lit up and made different musical tones. Siobhan demonstrated how to use it. The device would give a sequence and then the user had to repeat the sequence. "We'll put it on the lowest difficulty first." [Make 4 rolls of Wits + Resolve - 1 for difficulty]
Olivia listened to the trainer and went to practice the kicks she was shown. First she tried the front snap kick. She missed. So she tried the circle kick and that missed. Olivia sighed and attempted the front snap kick. It hit and she felt that the connection was a solid one. Finally, Olivia attempted a roundhouse kick and it connected but she could have done better. “I can do better...” Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+Brawl-1" 6,1,6,6,6 (0 successes) Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+Brawl-1" 2,3,6,5,6 (0 successes) Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+Brawl-1" 9,9,2,10,8,8 (5 successes) Olivia rolled 7 dice to "Str+Brawl-1+All Out" 6,10,3,2,6,1,6,2 (1 successes)

Zale: Shelter Crafting James rested his hands on his hips and smiled to himself as Zale worked beneath his tutelage. After nearly half an hour of direction, the lean-to was looking fairly sturdy, and not prone to toppling at a light breeze. "Good," James said. "Now this design is if you're out in the open with appropriate poles. Next we'll work with if you're in a wooded area, or somewhere with a non-mobile structure and some rope. If you have a tarp, or have woven long grass or reeds into a mat, you can take rope and hammer small piton into the ground as an anchor point and make use of it to create a quick tent. Not as stable or permanent as the lean-to we created, but suitable for quickly getting out of the elements and moving along soon as you need to strike it and change your camp." James went through the motions of instructing the proper method of setting up a simple tent with a tarp, pitons, and rope. "Your turn." [Intelligence + Craft, 3 rolls] Olivia: Brawl The trainer positioned himself to observe both Riven and Olivia, excusing himself from Riven to approach Olivia as a second trainer, this a youthful blonde girl with a distinct and clipped Capitol accent. The first trainer came back to Olivia after collecting a couple striking mitts. "If we had all the time in the world, we'd work more on your kicks. As is, I would recommend spending some free time with the bag in the next day or so, or just practicing in your room. Remember: chamber, extend, chamber. They can be devastating when applied properly performed, but until then... might be a liability. For now, however, something more interactive. Let's see you with a couple moving targets." He moved back into an open area standing in front of her. "I want you to strike the pads as I raise them. Strike fast, strike hard. Don't hold back and give it your all. Use any punch, kick, palmstrike, elbow, knee you want. Ready? Go!" [Four rolls: Strength + brawl - 3]
Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb swiveled in the chair, happy to not get back on his feet, and accepted the disc from Siobhan. It reminded him of some of the start up procedures from the cars he'd driven. He smiled at her, then set to copying the colors and musical tones as they lit up. "I gotta admit, I almost feel like I'm cheating. This device reminds me of some of the start-up sequences in the newer cars. And, I used the same technique there as I did in the 'pick the right one' test... Relax and remain calm."He hoped he could keep that cool in the Arena. Zale Sewell: District Four's Male Warrior for The Battle; The Fortuneteller's Son "What is dead may never die." It was an interesting skill to pick up, that was for certain. Something that Zale hoped would definitely come in handy. If nothing else, it would help he and Riva when they separated from the rest. So far as he could tell, the two of them could survive for quite a bit. At least, he knew he was capable of it. This wasn't even all that difficult. Put down the pitons in the ground stake the tarp down..it seemed simple enough. "There are some who do such things, back home. My parents do...when they wish to be together without me. On the beach. Unless the weather is bad. And then the boat."2013-04-22 13:49:41 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 4,6,10,10,3,6,7 (2 successes) 2013-04-22 13:50:25 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 8,7,4,7,9 (2 successes) 2013-04-22 13:50:51 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 8,5,7,5,8 (2 successes)

Caleb: Wits Course Siobhan nodded. She smiled warmly. Clearly she was pleased with this progress. “Try the other difficulty settings,” she replied. “Do not be afraid of challenging yourself. “It will progress through the levels regardless if you succeed or not. Do not dwell on your failures.” [Make 1 roll of Wits + Resolve-2 (for difficulty). Make 3 additional Wits + Resolve, increase negative mods by -1 each roll, ending with -5]
Olivia would practice tonight in the apartment after Caleb fell asleep. He worked so hard, to be the leader. To be strong for her, for everyone. She couldn’t let him know how she kept herself from sleeping due to worry. She feared for him. And so she practiced. Olivia’s first attempt was a miss. The second was a powerful hit. The third could scarcely be called a love tap. And fourth she missed again. “What’s next?” Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+brawl-3+all out" 5,2,7,6,5 (0 successes) Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+brawl-3+all out" 4,4,10,8,10,9,6 (4 successes) Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+brawl-3+all out" 4,3,9,7,3 (1 successes) Olivia rolled 5 dice to "Str+brawl-3+all out" 6,3,3,5,4 (0 successes)

Zale: Shelter Crafting "Good. Good. I'm glad you're picking this up so quickly." James grinned broadly at Zale. He seemed genuinely happy at the tribute's progress. He nudged the quickly made tent a few times before stepping back and nodding his approval. "Good job indeed, Zale. The last type of simple structure we'll go over makes use of the earth itself. If the ground is firm enough not to fill your hole in immediately and you've a trowel of some sort, you can dig a small 'foxhole' that the tarp or woven mat can be stretched across. You should weigh the edges of the tarp down and dig a smaller divot or trench around the foxhole to help trap and guide water away. If you have a partner, you could even dig a sizable, or deeper foxhole taking turns to do so." James took up a small trenching tool and held it out to Zale before settling into digging the foxhole, explaining intricacies and benefits of different depths as they went along. [Stamina + Athletics, 1 roll for the hole, Intelligence + Craft, 2 rolls for positioning the tarp properly. This is the last thing for the trainer to teach on this go around, so Zale'll be free to move along] Olivia: Brawl The trainer moved in time with Olivia, popping the pads up and moving around the small sparring area. He pushed her just enough to keep her on her toes, scaling back in time with her missed punches. When the timer went off, he smiled at her. "You've got talent and with some practice you'll be a real danger out there. Head over there, picked out sparring gear that fits you." He pointed at a rack of head, hand, and shin protection. While Olivia picked out appropriate gear, the trainer moved to a control panel. With a couple button pushes, a screen rose around the sparring area. He picked up pads and moved to the center of the mat, tugging his head piece into place and smiling at Olivia. "Time for a little bit of live practice. I've noticed you've been going full-tilt some... Nothing wrong with that if you're able to land the blow. But keep in mind that you'll be defenseless on the recoil. Now... Hit me. And hit me like you mean it. But keep those hands up, or I'll return the favor." The trainer bowed to Olivia and dropped into a fighting stance, one hand up to guard his face the other held back to protect his middle. [Four rolls: Strength + brawl - 4, a miss on an all-out, and the trainer'll pop Olivia back one. This is also the peak of this training session, meaning Olivia is free to move on to another station after this post.]
Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb smiled once, then set to the game again. "Do you get many tributes who come your way?"That little bit of conversation was enough to cost him the first game on the game as he pushed red instead of green. He redirected his focus and concentrated on the game for a second before smiling at Siobhan... missing a button, and going back at it with a more determined start to finish strong. Strong might not be the appropriate word, but he did finish. Soon as the game powered down he let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding and held the game back out to her. "Thanks... What's next?"Caleb Hunnington rolled 4 dice to "Playing the Game (Wits+Res-2)" 5,3,7,3 (0 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Playing the Game (Wits+Res-3)" 8,7,5 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 2 dice to "Playing the Game (Wits+Res-4)" 4,6 (0 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 4 dice to "Playing the Game (Wits+Res-5+wp)" 9,4,2,1 (1 successes)

Caleb: Wits Course “Not many,” Siobhan said, sadly. “We will try the same exercise,” she replied. “The same pattern will repeat itself. You can wait until the sequence is complete and mimic it. Or you can anticipate the pattern and complete the sequence before completes itself. “This will be timed. You may begin.” [Roll of Wits + Resolve-3 (for difficulty), extended roll, 10 successes needed. This is also the peak of this training session, meaning Caleb is free to move on to another station after this post.]
Olivia nodded and prepared herself for an actual fight. She stretched a bit and then met the trainer in the sparring circle. She told herself that this was real and she needed to make it count. In just two days her life would be on the line. Caleb’s too. She had to make it count. She tapped the trainer. Then she moved closer, opening herself up for attack but hitting him. The third attack, she pushed him away from her and then threw everything into her finally attack. She nodded to the trainer when they were done. “Thank you.” Olivia said. She shook the trainer’s hand and walked over the wits station. She smiled as Caleb finished up. “I thought I should try my hand at this.”Olivia rolled 2 dice to "Str+brawl-4" 5,8 (1 successes) Olivia rolled 4 dice to "Str+brawl-4+all out" 1,10,10,5,3,4 (2 successes) Olivia rolled 4 dice to "Str+brawl-4+all out" 7,8,8,4 (2 successes) Olivia rolled 7 dice to "Str+brawl-4+all out+WP" 2,6,7,1,2,9,8 (2 successes)

Zale Sewell; District Four's Male Warrior for the Battle: The Fortuneteller's Son "What is dead may never die." Zale nodded, allowing his lips to twitch up into a subdued smile at the praise. Oddly enough, being friendly and offering his name had gotten a bit more in the way of personalization. Was that what it was? That if he was a 'name' to some of these people rather than just District Four's Warrior, he would be treated with more....care? Was that even the correct word? "I thank you." He was watching James dig and then pull the tarp over the hole, intrigued. It was a good idea. Perhaps someone could cover a taunt tarp with leaves or a bit of dirt to camoflague it. He would have to see if that worked.... He started digging himself, and then started putting things together the way James had, frowning at the fact that his didn't look nearly as well done as James'. Practice, he supposed, made perfect. Which meant he would just have to use this skill in the Arena. 2013-04-23 03:35:25 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Stamina + Athletics" 5,6,6,8,3 (1 successes) 2013-04-23 03:36:10 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 5,2,3,4,3 (0 successes) 2013-04-23 03:36:42 [HG27] Zale Sewell rolled 5 dice to "Intelligence + Crafts" 8,10,9,1,3,5 (3 successes)

Zale: Brawl | James smiled again. "Practice, practice, practice. Let these techniques settle in on you some, then come back if you want and we'll work on something more advanced. If not, do take care, Zale. And may the odds be with you." The brawling trainer dropped the screen around he and Olivia, patting her on the back. He was just shedding the sparring gear when Zale approached. "Ah, aren't we popular today. What can I help you with? Have you thrown punches before? Or were you hoping for some specific instruction on a different set of techniques? If nothing else, let's get a base-line on your talent. Come over here and demonstrate what you know on the bag here and we'll move from there." [Strength + Brawl, 4 rolls please.] Olivia: Wits | The trainer moved with her, pressing in with a few swings of his own. Though they were designed more to keep her on her toes than anything else as he worked a defense to help her work on her offense. By the end of the session, she'd tagged him a couple times, but he'd made her work for it. He smiled at her. "Good job. You need to hammer out your basics some more, but you've got a good solid core set of skills. Practice these and you'll do well. Feel free to come back for more advanced training." Siobhan turned to greet Olivia as she approached, a wide smile blooming at the attention her station was receiving. "Welcome! Have a seat and we'll begin." She smiled at Olivia and bid Caleb farewell: "Caleb, good job on the exercises. May the odds ever be in your favor. I will root for you." "This first exercise will test your quick, shortterm memory: a picture will appear on the left screen and you must find it in the right. Take your time." [3 rolls of Wits + Resolve]
Caleb Hunnington, District Six: Noble Hearted Martyr "The sky wouldn't light up without my girls in this world." Caleb smiled again at Siobhan, accepted the device back from her and set to learning the pattern, doing his best to remain relaxed throughout. But fatigue from the long day was taking its toll on his mental faculties and he struggled to get all the way through the repeating pattern. Once complete, he looked up and held the game out for Siobhan to take. "Thanks. I really appreciate it." He rose from the chair and smiled fondly at Liv as she approached. He drew her into a hug, more than willing to be affectionate with his love anywhere, any time. He kissed her forehead. "Just remain relaxed... Siobhan's really nice."He squeezed her once more, and as he walked away toward the endurance station, he winked at her and said: "Good luck!"Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 5,6,6 (0 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 6,7,9 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 3,4,9 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 8,10,7,9 (3 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 9,7,3 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 8,7,2 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 6,7,3 (0 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 4,10,5,2 (1 successes) Caleb Hunnington rolled 3 dice to "Wits + Res -3" 10,8,6,5 (2 successes)
