I'd like a District 9 homie? Though it'd have to be a girl?

Sponsorship HallMentors will now be interacting with tributes in Mentor Thread & Apartment thread. This Games; there will also be a new aspect of the Game introduced: The Sponsor Hall. Mentors will go to the sponsor hall and interact with sponsors socially to convince them to support their tributes. They will sell their tributes 'angle', defend and explain questionable actions on the part of their tributes. Sponsors will then support or not support the chosen tribute. Credits donated at the Sponsor Hall are in the custodianship of the mentor; doled out in the form of parachutes whenever they wish. Mentors can also slip in a message (8 words max) in with parachutes. Mentor Merit Tributes with mentor merit (1) can be sent any level one item at any time once per game day; regardless of bank account. Mentors can also send messages (10 word max) at any time. Tributes with mentor merit (2) can be sent any level two item at any time once per game week; regardless of bank account. Mentors can also send messages (10 word max) at any time. Mentors also have the ability to roll Manipulation & Socialize OR Manipulation & Persuasion once per game day. Any suxx = 100 credits. For example, 2 suxx = 200 credits. You can see that having a PC mentor will greatly help a district! Hunger Games Overall Game Play & EventsNew Aspects: New Health Bar. Our health will be adjusted to be Stamina + 5 X 3. This will mean that being wounded becomes much more serious (as well as healing and learning First Aid perhaps). Sponsor Hall ^ New Consecutive District rule ~ Now you may only play the same district twice in a row. You must then submit for a different district, For example, Jake played (and won) with Conrad from D #7. He then plays with Tank from District #7. He then submitted for a tribute from District 5. In #27; he may apply with a D #7 if he wishes. Events will be introduced during HG 25 and ongoing. Essentially rain storms (or other events) will cause a negative effect (perhaps - hp and - 2 to perception) and occasionally a helpful mod - (+2 to fishing). Keep an eye out when the sky changes. TimelineThe 26th Hunger Games Reaping will occur two weeks from the finale and the time that final victors are announced in #25. - Use this time to RP in the districts for your new tribute or bring your mentor home.
- Meet the other PCs in your district and get to know the Notables. Past tribute family members will be added to this list.
Day 1The Reaping will begin with me calling the PC (player controlled) tribute. You and I will have several interaction posts before I call the next tribute. The reason is so that if you do not have a PC partner; perhaps someone joins in this time. If no one does; an NPC partner is reaped. You will have time to say good bye to notables & family members. Day 2 - Day 4- Training Center Day 1 (before lunch) Training center goes live. This is where you start training for the hunger games. You can attend any training station listed in the first post. A list of skills and specialties gained from attendance will be made known to you. You will need to interact with the trainer (and any PCs at the station) to gain any benefit (and the free skill point). Expect to post at least five times per station.
- Lunch with Tributes This is where your tribute meets and socializes with other tributes. It is free form role playing. Peacekeepers are present and will interact if fighting breaks out. If physical violence erupts; the instigator is escorted to his/her room for the remainder of the meal under guard.
Day 5 - 7- Mentor Thread This is where you meet your mentor and your district partner is present. You can choose to train alone; if you wish.
- Apartment Thread: This is a private thread arranged by district. Socialize with your partner, your mentor and your representative.
Day 12 - 13 (Day Two) - Training Thread (before lunch)
- Lunch with Tributes
- Mentor Thread
Day 14 - 17 (Day 3) - Training Station
- Lunch with Tributes
Day 18 - 21 (Last Day)- Training Station
- Lunch with Tribute
- Apartment
Day 22: Private Training Session ~ This is the private training session where you try and impress the judges. After sessions conclude; the interview occurs. If you wish to have an inter - district alliance meeting with mentors present (like Lallek & Jace in #25, this is when this occurs) Scores are announced Cornucopia goes live! - Hunger Games events - Days will generally last 3 real days; nights generally 2 real days.
- Day 5 ~ Feast
- Day 7; free skill buy
- Final interview with victor

Jan Colton; District 9Sheet: To Be Adjusted MaybeJan is the 'bad' twin. Most wouldn't see it that way. Most only saw The Games. The one that Jace was in, where people died and his brother bled and where the cameras twisted things to make it look as if he were not as 'kind' and 'giving' as he was. No one knew that he'd been drawn because of 56 extra chances in the Reaping. No one knew that he had always been the first to sacrifice when things got bad. No one knew what it had all cost him, and in the end when it was just him against the world, that he'd chosen to fight for his life. All they saw was a monster. All Jan had seen was a scared fifteen year old boy who just wanted to come home. Jan is the darker half of their shared soul. The Liar, where Jace never lied. The Cheater, where Jace never cheated. The Fake, where Jace was always genuine. Where Jace was the one all the girls should want? Jan is the one that they fall for. One thing is certain though: The Games have never seen a Tribute like Jan Colton. Whether that is good or bad? That is up to the sponsors.

I'll be checking the tweaked sheets tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen. If I don't post in here with approvals; poke me in the cbox! We still need at least two more writers. Let your friends know you want to kill them and loot their corpses

OK every one, we're at the Feast for the #25th now. I won't say that we'll be wrapping tomorrow, but the 26th Games are in sight. We will also be doing a Feast and a Parade before the Games this year; so be sure to get your new characters in asap so you don't miss it. I'll link the Parade in this thread when it starts.

Hi so I'm new to the forums and also to this play style but I'm interested in playing the District 7 male tribute if that's okay? Here's Felix Grayling... Personality: Felix is cold and hard-working, having had to make an income in order to support his family from an early age. His main priority is his family’s wellbeing; he would do anything to keep them safe and alive. This causes him to seem abrasive and unkind to others, but this is what he believes will keep him and his loved ones breathing for another day, so he adopts a stone-hearted attitude when around others. In his free time he much prefers to be alone rather than in a group of people, as he knows that his pessimistic views only unsettle and discourage others, especially his younger brothers. Underneath this hard shell, however, rests a caring young man who would risk his life to save somebody he cared about, without thinking of the consequences. History: Born to two hard workers in District Seven, Felix has always had a pessimistic view on life. Not only did both of his parents work countless hours in the forests for lumber, but he resided in one of the so called poorer districts, with plague and death shadowing his every step. As a child, Felix never understood the importance of working in the forests, he just knew he wanted to be as strong as his father one day. As soon as he was old enough he was taught to hold an axe, and soon after to swing it correctly. By the time he was fourteen Felix was working full time in the woods, cutting trees and earning money for his parents and three brothers. However, devastation rocked the Grayling household when his youngest brother died of malnourishment. That same day, Felix marched towards his District’s Justice Building and signed for the tesserae, and did not allow either of his two brothers to sign their names as well. He would not lose another brother to the Capitol. The years that followed were filled with anticipation and his mother’s promises that it would not be Felix’s name, but he knew that it would only be a matter of time. His father would come to his room every year before the reaping and reassure him, and to make sure that Felix knew that he was proud of him. This meant more than his mother’s daily ramblings, and every year Felix promised that he would be fighting for his father over anyone else. The day of the 26th Annual Hunger Games reaping came. Felix stood with his two brothers and wore a solemn look on his face, and listened to the anthem play in his ears. The music stopped, but his ear drums replayed the sound over and over just as they did every year, and as the name of the male tribute was drawn from the bowl, Felix knew that his luck had run short. His name was called, loud and clear, through the speakers. Appearance: With dark, dirty looking skin and greasy hair cut as short as his mother could cut it, Felix is not the best looking young man in District Seven. He is slightly above average height, and the years of cutting wood and climbing trees have granted him a muscular physique and dry, almost constantly bleeding hands. He has never cared for his appearance; not many people did when they worked in the forests every day. Felix’s best features are his dark green eyes, which his mother always tells him he had inherited from his grandmother. He should appear slightly menacing, though his eyes soften his face and cause him to look as though he has suffered a great loss, and hide the anger that boils in his blood.

Hello Lite, welcome to the Hunger Games! Felex Grayling is accepted with one minor edit. Quick Draw largely applies to pistols and firearms. Drawing the axe will be a turn, but I negate that for writing. For example 'Felix leaves the battleground of Cornucopia with the axe gripped well in his dominant hand...'
I also am eying a style you may like for always being armed that may fit with the lumberjack approach. Improvised Weaponry
MR p57 *pre: Wits •••, Weaponry • • Always Armed make a reflexive Wits + Weaponry roll to grab a 1L, Size 1, Durability 2 improvised weapon. Could always be a good idea as a few folks have disarm as well - and I approve of disarm as a choice merit in this Games. As you know disarm, someone *could* send his axe yards away, resulting in turns spent going after it or fighting unarmed. With a 5 at unarmed, it wouldn't be terrible in the beginning, but after some armor upgrades it may suck. Let me know your thoughts.
Once we work out the free merit point, Felix is approved. I like him.

I'm glad you like him! Thanks for the input and I think you're completely right; Felix's strength is in his ability to wield a weapon (with preference to Axes), so the Always Armed Merit looks like it would be right up his street. Weaponless, I Felix's ability to survive would deplete very quickly. So I've taken out the Quick Draw (Axe) Merit and replaced it with Always Armed. Here's the edited sheet: Click!. I'm grateful for your help and even though I'm still very unfamiliar with the way this is played (I've never made a Character Sheet like this before and dice rolling is completely new to me too), but I'm a fast and eager learner, and I'm very keen on joining in this RP and bringing Felix into the Games, I'm proud of him.

Is 'Mousey' what she will be called? Regardless of name, she is approved!
