“I smell something. Like sugary... It's coming from this crate...” Olivia pointed it out for Eris to check it. Maybe she knew something about the smell that Olivia did not. “It smells like it's from a bakery. Or something like that.” Olivia looked at Caleb and picked up the crowbar. “This should help us. But we should be careful right?” She frowned when Willow revealed the four jackets. They had more than three times that. It wasn't near enough to clothed them all. “Water and jackets. Both good things.” She cautiously helped Caleb open the remaining crates with the crowbar. “Eris or Willow, can you flash some light over here please?”

As Caleb and Liv inspected the contents of the barrel in the first room, they found shadowy, soft shapes. It felt soft, like cloth. One was a hard plastic case. Two of the barrels and one of the crates had now been checked, leaving three barrels and three crates remaining. Eris glanced over as Olivia indicated one of the barrels as smelling sweet, like a bakery. "I'll check it out.". Eris offered. The girl gripped the barrel lid and lifted it off. She peered inside for a moment, studying the interior with her head light. She reached inside and pulled out a plastic wrapped blueberry muffin. She unwrapped a section and picked out a blueberry, smelling it carefully. "Seems like legit baked goods." Eris popped the blueberry in her mouth, working it around for a moment cautiously. After several moments, the girl chewed and swallowed. She wrapped the muffin and placed it back in the barrel. "Lets wait a minute and see if it upsets my stomach before we pass them out. Looks like... four blueberry muffins and four bannana nut muffins. A basket of chocolate cookies..." Eris reached in and removed the aforementioned items, placing them in her pack. "Remember I have these. The barrel is really cramped." Eris leaned back over the barrel, pulling out handfuls of brown shredded paper. The girl pulled out a metal tin and placed it in her pack without looking at it. She carefully tilted the barrel over her knee and a lot of paper bits wafted out into the water. Something heavier slid out and Eris caught a plastic pill case. She frowned at it as she tilted it over, reading: "Antidote."As Olivia requested help, Willow carried her newly found flash light over. "What are we checking?" She asked, shining it over the three remaining crates. The tops of the crates revealed - Four metal cans about six inches in diameter and perhaps four inches high that reflected light as Willow shone her flash light across them
- Four individually platic wrapped squares 6 inches X 3 inches. An image of a strawberry was on two. An image of an apple on the remaining two.
- Four neon orange life jackets were clearly visible in the last crate

Caleb didn't want to think this was going too smoothly... but. Positive thinking. He smiled at the haul they were claiming. "We're checking these here..."He picked up one of the cans and turned it over, inspecting it. After doing so, he set the can back into the crate. There was a lot here, and a lot of it was foodstuffs, it seemed. Enough to feed them for a day or two, or... He glanced over the three remaining jackets. A smaller group for a lot longer. That must be something the game makers intended. He wondered if this were the only food they'd be finding. Or the only fresh water. That would drive a wedge pretty quick. He frowned in the dark before plastering a smile on his face. "Let's check one more room and head back to the camp. We can check the rest of the ship tomorrow."He moved carefully to another door, checked the knob, and, if it were unlocked, carefully opened it, prepared to duck out of the way if something dangerous were there. - Four Life Vests
- 1 blanket (wet)
- 4 blankets (dry from packing)
Gear - Antidote

- Four metal cans [water - proof] about six inches in diameter and perhaps four inches high that reflected light as Willow shone her flash light across them contain
- Six water proof matches
- Spool of fishing line
- Three fish hooks of various sizes
- Small jar of red eggs marked as 'bait'
The last room on this end was an oblong shaped room, clearly the end of the ship. A foot of water had collected in the far corner of the room and smelled of the sea: salt and musty wood. There was a quiet clacking noise as something struck the side of the ship in the water. There was a bobbing barrel - likely the noise maker - and debris. An overturned wooden chair, its legs crumpled and broken slides with the water. An extinguished electric lamp lolls about at the waters edge. There seemed to be very little here of use. “That's enough water for most of us until tomorrow,” Olivia told Caleb. She was trying to tell him not to get his hopes up. This was the Hunger Games, where futures, dreams, hope came to die. The truth was the longer they put off people dying, the worse it was going to be. She knew she'd follow Caleb into the underworld. But she wanted him to realize the hell they had walked into. “It'll be better if the sun's up.” Olivia nodded. She almost smiled before she heard something. “Shh... you hear that? It's like a scraping sound...”Olivia Tully rolled 5 dice to "Perception - 3" 8,3,7,6,2 (1 successes) She would have felt better with an axe in her hands. She would have left better with Jasmine at her side. This time they had entered the Arena on opposite sides. Aurora was willing to bet her life that Jasmine wouldn't treat her as an enemy. Regardless of what some other mentors may think, Jasmine was her sister. The sister she always wanted. And she'd never raise an axe to family. Rory scanned the darkness and sighed. “Pan... Psyche... I can't see a thing. Do either of you have something that can help me with that?” she asked the two tributes. Aurora Noland rolled 5 dice to "Perception - 1" 2,4,5,2,6 (0 successes)

As Olivia glanced around, she saw a shadow move. It was small...black... and moving through the water towards them.
"Its good to have you. The other mentors headed back home." Pan greeted her. "No. Eris took the only headlamp into the ship. Sorry."
"Hey, Pan!" Eris' voice sounded from out of the darkness.
"Come and see this."
Pan shifted his stance, turning to look out into the black. With the headlamp gone, there was utter blackness out there. Pan frowned, glancing towards the only conscious people: Psyche and Rory.
"Eris? Is that you?" The young Psyche, wrapped in her sleeping bag, inquired into the black.
"Yes. Come and see! The supplies for the mentors have floated in here..."
Pan frowned as he stepped away from the fire pit. Shadows overtook him, the firelight glinted off of his wielded axe as he evaluated the tidal peninsula that was overtaken by the night.
"I can't see a thing."

Caleb didn't hide his disappointment. He sighed at the room of broken stuff. "Oh well. Can't all be winners, right?"He realized half a moment later at the phrasing could have been better. He shook his head, looking at Liv and frowning for a brief moment before stepping back out of the room and toward the hole in the side of the ship. "We can do a more thorough search of the ship tomorrow. As you said... It'll be better with the sun up."He paused for a moment and cocked his head to the side, then shook. “Caleb, we have to go now. Grab the stuff and go,” Olivia said the chain whip in her hand twirling. She said a silent prayer and started to back out slowly. [Liv is dodging this round Olivia Tully rolled 5 dice to "Perception - 3" 9,10,4,1,7,5 (2 successes)] “It's good to be here,” Aurora replied. She tried not to dwell on the fact that Felix and Sassinak had died thanks to her poor advice. But their deaths weigh on her mind. Felix Grayling and Sassinak Knoll. The first two casualties to her rebellion. The first two but not the last. “Pan, hold on.” Aurora looked at Psyche. “Do you have an extra weapon?” She glanced back at Pan and then shouted out to Eris. “Eris, where's Willow? And Liv and Caleb?” Aurora looked out to where Eris' voice was coming from to see if she could see anything. [Aurora Noland rolled 5 dice to "Perception - 1" 10,9,8,9,9,4 (5 successes)]

It was a small black thing that leaped out of the water at Caleb's feet. Eris jerked her headlamp onto it, revealing a black rat. Its teeth are enormous.
"Yaaah!" Eris shouts, flinging her hand at it. Two shurikens impale the rat, causing it to twitch and die. Yet two more immediately can be seen swimming forward.
"Time to go!" Willow agrees. "Caleb!" She grabs Caleb's arm and tries to drag him with her out of the room. Eris stands by Olivia, reaching for more shurikens.

"Caleb?" Psyche stood and shouted into the opening in the shipwrecked ship.
"Liv? Are you there?" Psyche bent down and picked up a roll of throwing knives.
"Your kids took off pretty fast. I have these." She tossed the sheathe of ten throwing knives to Rory. As Auroura looked out into the black, she sees a very dim form of a young girl. The facial features look identical to that of Eris. Yet this girl is alone. She holds nothing in her hand. Actually... the moonlight reflecting off of her pale arms means that she's not wearing the fleece that Eris was wearing when she walked into the ship.
"They stayed at the ship. But I saw something really amazing out here."
Then Rory sees something behind Eris. A white parachute and a small chest attached to it.

Caleb nodded to Liv's statement, wondering just what had set her on edge. He was in absolute agreement that it was time to go, and jumped when the large, black thing crawled out of the water. He stood frozen for a moment as Eris filled it with shuriken, and jerked when Willow's hand took his arm and jerked him back from the water's edge and toward the door. He then moved freely after her, unlimbering his bow and drawing an arrow from his quiver. He unleashed the shaft at one of the swimming black shapes. Though he didn't bother waiting to see the result. He reached for the door, (assuming Eris is not still in the room, that is) and pulled it closed. If he could, he'd trap the damned things in there and give them time to gather the supplies into an easily transportable medium. "Can't agree more, Willow. Liv, lead the way. Ladies, grab what you can carry, we can come back for more later." He snatched up the wet blanket, opening it and putting the cans and bottles of water in the middle. He hurried to tie it into a sack he could easily tote. Olivia nodded and didn't need to be told twice. She carried out the gear and some of the clothes. Olivia looked over her shoulder to make sure Caleb and the others were behind them. [ [Liv is dodging this round Olivia Tully rolled 7 dice to "Perception - 1" 5,10,5,7,1,1,10,9,6 (3 successes)] See with your eyes... Aurora took a deep breath and nodded her thanks to Psyche. “Something isn't right about this,” Aurora whispered to the female tribute from district 9. “You hold until she attacks. Then the first thing you do is wake the others up. Not help me. Do you understand?” Aurora asked Psyche. Aurora was no hero. But she wouldn't risk Jan's charges just so she could feel safe. Yes, she wanted to live. Eris had already filled her pack with baked goods. The girl helped Willow fill a blanket with four blankets and three jackets and the girls turned and headed out of the ruined ship, hurrying to the warmth of the fire and the familiarity of their friends. It was with suspicion and distrust that Pan stared at Eris. Willow and Eris gave Caleb and Olivia a confused glance. They had emerged with warm clothing in near freezing weather; yet Pan was glaring at Eris.
"Eris, come here." Pan demanded. A bewildered Eris handed the blanket tote to Willow and walked into the fire light surrounding the fire ring. Pan looked from her to the figure standing out in the black.
The two were identical.
Rory's question was not immediately answered. Rory could still see the girl standing a mere nine feet away. The girl bent and picked up the chest attached to the parachute. It was about two feet wide by three feet long. It could hold something precious, in there. It was intended to outfit Rory and likely some of her alliance. The Eris in darkness held the chest, remaining cloaked in shadow.

Caleb, most likely to Liv's great displeasure, was the last out of the gap in the side of the ship. He wouldn't have had it any other way, though. He carried the impromptu sack with one hand, his bow with the other as they retreated to the camp and warmth and friends. He frowned at the welcome that Pan'd given them, wondering a moment if this was the end of the alliance. Less than twenty four hours into it, and the alliance was breaking down... Except... Caleb followed Pan's gaze from the Eris in the firelight to the figure standing out in the black and dropped his sack on the ground. "I... I thought someone had to die to become an avenged..." he muttered, referring to the monstrosities that had beset the end game tributes at the quell. He looked between the two Erises, but there had only been one cannon blast. One face shown in the sky. He frowned. Either Eris had a twin that had been secretly transported in with the mentors, or one of them was a mutt. "What's going on? What's she got there? Eris?"Hit points: 24/24 Defense: 5 + 3 armor (3 chest) Willpower: 5/5 Caleb’s Mantra of the Dead: Lazuli Somnus

“That is not the Avenged...” Aurora's boiled. The memories of the Avenged still burned in her soul. Cade never spoke. Ferma had all too much to say. Two more of Aurora's failures. Twice she had cut her soul. “You're outnumbered and you've been found out... Leave and this won't end in your death...” Aurora told the fake Eris. “You do have to die...” Olivia told Caleb. “This is something different.”Olivia came by the fire, joining Pan and the others. “We could flank her. Pan and I could sweep in. Psyche and Caleb could laid down coverfire.” She whispered to her alliance.

"Get up." Psyche prods Isaac awake. He yawns and stretches out, instinctively clutching the sleeping bag over him as his limbs are exposed to the cold. He peers around suspiciously, not immediately seeing the problem.
Star and Titan remain in slumber, curled together for warmth. The two seem oblivious to whats occurring around them, shivering slightly as they sleep. Psyche gives Rory a curious glance; then glances to the remaining sleepers. Should they be woken? Is there going to be a fight?
The girl in shadow seems innocent enough. Eris in shadow looks between Caleb, Pan and Rory.
"Caleb, this is the chest that was sent in for Rory." Eris in darkness takes a step closer, offering the chest towards Rory.
"What is it? You don't trust me?"
Eris in shadow asks, confusion and hurt in her voice.
"What..." Eris from the ship peers into the black. "Thats- is that me?"
The girl blinks and steps out closer to the other Eris, stopping only five feet from her. Now that the two girls were so close, you could see that the Eris in shadow had an untreated scratch on her face. Eris from the ship had the same scratch, but hers had been treated by Olivia.
"Pan, come on." Eris in shadow sounds exasperated and afraid. "You were the first one I talked to. You were sitting with Star and Titan, remember?"
Pan stared at Eris in darkness and then turned to Eris from the ship. He turned to Rory and Willow, confused.
"That happened." Willow whispered as Olivia laid out cover plans. "How does she know what we talked about at the training center?"
"Does it matter?" Psyche whispered back. "Are you sure you're attacking the right Eris?" Willow whispered. "We left for the beach. You were the ones with her. Are you sure she wasn't replaced?"

Caleb stared. He outright stared at the two Erises. He knew the one in the sweater was the one who had gone with them to the ship. That he was absolutely certain of. And the only time she'd been out of sight since before they rose into the arena was during her trip to dispose of the mine for a while. And that little touch of doubt, from that handful of minutes where he couldn't be certain, kept him from drawing an arrow from his quiver and sending it down range at the Eris in the shadows. He cast one glance at Willow as she whispered. "It doesn't matter... they can probably program stuff into mutts and all of our training center activities are on tape. The one in the fleece and treated wound is the Eris that went with us to the ship," he said quickly and quietly to the others. He didn't want to make the call to attack either Eris. Especially since he didn't know for absolute certain which was which... which meant he couldn't, even with bad conscience, lay down coverfire with Psyche. He shot a quick glance at Liv. She'd hate him for it, or be severely mad at least, but it was his duty as leader to take risks. "I think the important task right now is to get the chest from her and get it into Miss Noland's hands. Liv, want you half a step behind me, Willow, Psyche... covering fire. Pan, jump in if the **** hits the fan. The real Eris won't attack me, I don't think."He didn't wait for arguments, turning directly toward the pair of Erises and walking calmly forward. He had every intent of dodging any attack either of them threw his way. "If that's the chest meant for Miss Noland, Eris... Perhaps you should give it to me to give to her."He stopped next to the Eris with the sweater. “I don't see how getting yourself attacked is going to help the situation...” Olivia's disapproval was clear with her words and tone. But that didn't stop her from falling in a half of a step behind Caleb. Why? Because he gave an order and he was the leader. Of course in his very Caleb way. But it was an order from her alliance's leader nonetheless and this was a battle. She had to trust that he knew what he was doing. If they were anywhere but here she would have fought him on this. That was because she loved him. But right now... especially in this very moment, he wasn't her Caleb. He was Caleb, her district mate. Olivia was starting to realize there was a slight difference in the two. She studied both of the Erises, looking for anything that would tip her off. "Eris?" Isaac stood and watched Eris evaluate Eris.
"Eris, get away from... that one." He looked towards Caleb, Olivia and Psyche. "Whats happening?"
"Its... " Psyche frowns at the Eris in shadows suspiciously.
"It looks like Eris, but there can only be one Eris. No one came out of that ship until they all came out together. That one-" She points to Eris in Shadow.
"- is a fake."
The girl in shadow seems innocent enough. Eris in shadow looks between Caleb, Pan and Rory.
"Caleb, you can have the chest. Its why I came here, to bring it to you." Eris in darkness takes a step closer, offering the chest towards Caleb.
"I'll stay right here. I won't move."
Eris in shadow promises. She remains stock still, the chest in her hands. The girl turns her head to look at Rory. Those light colored eyes flicker with confusion.
"I was swimming in the water... then someone hit me in the head. At the Bath. I awoke up alone. I was scared. I heard your voices and came out... and then there was this chest."
"Liar!" Eris from the ship shrieks. "You were what was in the water!"
She turned to Caleb and Oliva, defensive.
"When I was caught in the net, I rolled near the water. Something... touched me. I couldn't see what it was. I was all tangled up. It TOUCHED me before Dupioni got there!"
Eris from the ship shrieks in distress. Willow moves instinctively, grabbing Eris from the ship and pulling her away from the other Eris. She instinctively shields the girl from fire; for Psyche palms a knife behind her back.
Pan steps behind Eris in Shadow. He holds his axe firmly in both hands, staring at Eris in Shadow. Isaac has stood and picked up his [+2] spear. Dupioni holds her [+2] knife in her dominant hand, watching Caleb. Theodore has began to slowly stretch out his arms, his eyes going to Eris from the ship as she begins to shriek. Star and Titan remain curled up against the cold, slumbering.
"There... when I got to her..." Dupioni began to say something and reconsidered.
"Let me go!" Eris from the ship shrieks as Willow holds the girl in a tight hug.
"Be calm." Willow says forcefully. "Quiet. Stay away from it. I don't want you to get hurt."
Eris begins to still in Willow's arms and Willow releases her. Willow watches Eris from the ship for a beat, but she doesn't move for the other Eris. Willow nocks an arrow.
Where is every one looking? Give me a perception with -2 please.

Caleb was glad to have Liv at his back. He trusted her more than anyone else, even himself, in the Arena. Even in the world. The fact she wasn't arguing with him spoke volumes, and he knew he'd have to apologize for putting himself into a dangerous situation for the sake of the group. For the sake of her. He couldn't stand to see her hurt, he knew it. He didn't how how he'd react, just that it would likely be volatile and explosive, and wasn't what was needed right now. He nodded to the words coming from the shadow Eris. He wasn't sure who was the mutt, though he was leaning toward the Eris that had gone with him and the others into the ship. He couldn't order an attack on anyone without knowing for certain. He took a step closer reaching out to take the white chest from Eris, waiting, expecting to have the girl take a swipe at him. He knew, or rather expected, that if she did, it'd start a brawl that would likely go poorly for her. The shriek from Fleece wearing Eris causes him to jump, jerking back from the girl before him, though he doesn't remove his eyes. His heart suddenly pounding in his chest, Caleb's gaze swept the darkness around shadow Eris, suddenly glad that he had friends at his backside and that the Fleece wearing Eris quieted. "Dupioni... if you have something to add, please... please share it with us. You were the first to get to Eris after Hyperion netted her," Caleb said, surprised by the calm in his voice despite the way his heart was pounding and sweat, despite the cool night air, beginning to bead on his forehead. He wished Brass were there. He wished Kris were conscious and could shed more light on the situation. Caleb hadn't had eyes on District 3 since they split for the minute or two at the Bath and this was hard enough to figure out. One of the Erises was a Mutt, no doubt there, but which one? He kept his eyes on the Shadow Eris. "I saw someone in the water." Dupioni admitted. "But with the chaos... and Hyperion... I didn't look very closely at who it was. So she-" She pointed to Fleece wearing Eris. "-isn't lying about that."

Olivia was growing annoyed. Her attempts to "read" each Eris seemed to be giving her nothing to go on. So she stopped. She sighed and looked at Caleb. “Now what do we do? Because I'm not getting anything.” Olivia scanned the area behind them all. If she couldn't help with figuring out which Eris was the real one she could at least watch their backs. I don't need to do that again.”She turned her gaze upward. “You hear me? I'm not killing for you again.”Aurora looked back at the two Erises, her expression was neutral but peaceful. There was a nearly imperceptible sound. Several gathered around this camp fire missed it completely. Olivia, however, heard the sound near Pan. It was a difficult sound to place - not a twig cracking, for there were no twigs here. Not a foot step, for the soft grass here absorbed most of those. It was the sound of something snapping and it was such a difficult one to place that it would be an old memory that would bring it up: the sound of a bone snapping. Yet as there were no cries of pain from the alliance, why was there the sound of a bone snapping behind Pan? It was a hand - the bones of the hand shifting slightly in Olivia and Caleb's eyes - that closes over Pan's throat. Pan makes a strangled cry; the axe clattering to the floor as he places both hands to the viselike grip that is strangling him.
"Any of you move, the boy dies." It is a cold voice that gives the order. No one has ever heard Pan speak so coldly and be so cruel, but it is Pan's voice; just as the real Pan scrabbles against what appear to be his own hands.
"Come to me." The voice - Pan's voice speaks to Eris. The two girls blink at the command, but the fleece- less Eris holding the chest has a tremor. It moves from her spine all the way up her back. As she trembles, something in her face shifts as the bones realign. She is no longer Eris' twin, but a separate girl that could be Eris' sister. Something new burns in Eris' eyes, as though the fog of memories are burned away. This new Face begins to stride away from the campfire; still holding the chest.
Should the alliance allow the two to retreat for Pan's sake? Would attacking be a safer, stronger bet? Had refuting the 'sky' earned district seven this very special position for Pan?

Caleb was about to answer Liv, with a 'let's be reasonable about this,' when Pan's voice came from the darkness. He froze when the shadow Pan's hands tightened around Pan's neck. He wasn't about to risk his alliance's life to take out a couple of Mutts and secure the chest. "Listen to him..."He stared at the doppelganger as Eris shifted into a not-quite-Eris, and shifted his eyes back to Pan and Pan, continuing to hold still. He wasn't about to risk Pan's life to end this overall threat. Hit points: 24/24 Defense: 5 + 3 armor (3 chest) Willpower: 5/5 Caleb’s Mantra of the Dead: Lazuli Somnus

They should have attacked. She knew Eris. And she knew the Eris in the shadows wasn't the real Eris. Not the one that she healed, heard tales of District 3 from. They should have attacked. However, they hadn't. And because of this, Pan's life was in danger. Olivia looked at Caleb. On the one hand she couldn't believe that he was saying that. On the other, it sounded like such a Caleb thing to say. With frown, she nodded. “Okay, no one is moving.” Did they truly think this was going to push her to fight? Or was this a punishment? Oh you won't fight for us? Then you don't need this chest after all. What they didn't realize is that Aurora was really under the impression that she didn't need a weapon. Aurora shakes her head. “I am standing so I can get a look at you.” She stood, turning to see Pan holding Pan. She studied them for a moment and again she shook her head. The Gamemakers could do better. But that wouldn't ease Pan's fears. “Pan, it's going to be okay. I won't let them take you.” she told the boy before turning to the doppleganger. “No one's moving, like Olivia and Caleb have said. We have done what you asked. Now please release my tribute.”

"Silence.' Fake Pan doesn't look at Rory. His eyes are moving between Olivia and Caleb. Psyche shifts her stance innocently and Fake Pan chokes up, causing Psyche to utter a 'I'm not doing anything!" and hold her hands up.
Pan's eyes are desperate as he looks to his alliance. They plead for help. He's helpless in this situation and its literally killing him. Fake Eris walks past the two into the black. Fake Pan backs away with his hostage.
There is a pause. The people gathered around the camp fire see nothing in the blackness. No doppelganger. No Pan. Have these mutts any honor? Or can the Game Makers use them to deliver any message that they wish?
Then theres a choking sound. Pan is propelled forward out of the blackness and lands on his knees by the fire. He holds his throat as he coughs painfully. Tears trickle out of the corner of his eyes. Any one who comes in for a closer look sees that his throat has a nasty bruise on it. The pressure needed to create that had to be intense.
[Pan has suffered 6 bashing]
