After the first day of training, all of the tributes were advised to meet with their mentors over dinner for a strategy session. Femra and her partners went up to the dining room where a full dinner was laid out before them. The center of the table had several chickens, a turret of lamb stew and a rack of ribs. Several plates of rolls, roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus ringed them. Only four chairs were set; the absence of the frivolous stylist team was an obvious choice. "Hello." He greets you. "I am Hiram, your mentor. I am here to try and prepare you for the games..." He reminds you. "Have any of you thought about which stations you'll be taking at the the training center?"

"Yes, I've been there and seen the places I want to look at."
"I want to be smart and intelligent, but I need to have some combat talent."
Correct?

"I would advise at least one combat station," Your mentor states. "- what other stations are you taking? Have you seen the other tributes that look competitive?"

"Yes. One I think his name is..Tark? Tank?" I told my mentor.
"Some courses I plan on taking are Edible Plants & Medicinal Plants, Animal Identification, Swimming, Shelter, and First-Aid. I might take out Animal Identification for a Combat. What are your thoughts?" I asked Hiram

"I think you are referring to Tank, District 7." Hiram replied. "Yes, he certainly looks formidable.
I certainly think taking survival courses are a good idea. Most of the tributes that survive the Blood Bath die of dehydration, infection and eating poisonous things. Shelter and First aid are always a solid bet. Swimming certainly was useful in the last arena when the flood occurred. Did you list those in the order that they matter to you?" The man inquired.

"District 7...hm. Isn't that where last year's winner came from?" I asked.
"And ok, sounds great! And yes, I did list them in order."

"Yes, Conrad Miles was the victor last year. " Hiram replied. "He very nearly brought his district mate with him, but they were betrayed by a former member of the alliance. Something I want to remind you of," He states firmly. "- an alliance may save your life on the first day. Perhaps the second and maybe the third as well, but once the field begins to slim down, it can most certainly kill you."
He pauses before continuing. "But there's 35 people who need you to die before they can go home. That is a nearly impossible number..."
The door opened and the two late arrivals, Elena and Joel, enter the room. "You're late." Hiram scolded, appearing displeased. "The Peace Keepers locked down the hall for a minute." Elena explained, taking the seat beside Femra. "That District 1 boy is getting in people's faces."
"Silver." Hiram stated. "Always know the name of what wants to kill you."
Joel takes the seat on the other side of Elena and both begin to fill their plates. Hiram seems comfortable with the silence, leaving you to reflect on his statement. How did you feel about alliances?
