After the first day of training and lunch, the tributes had a few more hours in the training center before they were told to have dinner with their mentor. Emily and Cade joined Kale as she entered the dining room. Silver was present, filling his plate with vegetables. The victor of one of the earlier games, he retained his height and fine physical form. His hair is beginning to thin; showing his age. He visually checked each tribute, finding Kale. "She won't be allowed in until the parade," Silver explained. "- something about unfair favoritism. I'm guessing your parent will be here sooner than that." Today's main courses were turkey legs, chicken pot pies, rolls, roasted potatoes and asparagus. Several plates of sweet rolls and fruit tarts were set about the table. Silver gestured for the tributes to sit. "Get eating." He advised. "I hear that the District 1 male, Silver, was testing some of the tributes today."[/b] He states. "I advise we think more on your angle and then we can discuss the other tributes.""Alliances are forming." [/color]Emily pipes up. "A lot of the lower districts seem to be organizing."Cade puts in. "I'm watching District 7 female and District 9 male. They have mouths on them."

Kale viewed the array of food, naturally comparing it to the cuisine at her parents' home. Neither of her parents were particularly decent cooks, and in general they left her to her own devices when it came to grabbing food. This was probably about as close to a "family meal" as she was going to get.
That was just a little depressing, considering she barely knew these people. And... there was the whole 'will need to try and kill them in the near future' thing.
"I'm sure my mother will make herself at home at her earliest convenience," Kale remarked dryly.
She pulled out a seat and slipped pie and potatoes onto the plate, pushing them around with her fork as she listened to the rest of the conversation. "Did you have any 'angle' in mind?"

"Yours seems to be natural," He remarked, looking to Kale. "- destined to win. It resonates well."
"Worked for Conrad." Emily noted. " But what about that big alliance the others are forming? The three from district seven, one from district nine, one from district eight - and I think the girls from district four..."
