After dinner, Lyme guides Jace below his suite on the ninth floor. She leads him to the hall before the training center where a small computer screen and stylus awaits. "I'll be present while you speak to Lallek." She states to Jace. "Yet this is a bit unusual..." ` At the same time, Nettle is guiding Lallek towards the training center. "The Game makers want to test out the technology they want you to use for the interview." Nettle says to Lallek. "This seems like a good opportunity to do that and meet with Jace, as you wished."
The four meet up in the hall and Nettle plucks up the stylus, drawing 'hello' on the screen. It is projected on the far wall.
"Seems to work well enough..."

Jace Colton--District 9[/u]
"I'm bettin' it is. I was thinking they wouldn't want us to meet up alone." He does manage to smile when he sees Lallek and Nettle coming. He was learning that he never knew when someone was watching, so the show never ended.
It was good practice for the Arena, where the she show would never really end anyway.
IT wasn't fake though. Not really. Lallek was proving to be an interesting and capable companion, and maybe in a different life and a different time, they could have been friends. He didn't have many of those in District 9. Associations and people he worked with. The people his brothers and sisters spent time with....
...And Jan. He had Jan.
The projection of what Nettle wrote on the wall though gets an amazed look. "Isn't that nifty? Now we can actually talk rather than pass notes."

The projector is a small marvel to Lallek. This was a way to project his voice in a way he never had before. Taking the stylus from Nettle, Lallek scrawls out a "Hello" and smiles as it appears before his eyes. This would certainly simplify things.
"Care to have a more thorough discussion than a handshake and lunchroom note?" Sadly the sarcasm didn't convey through the writing, but it was nice to have a way to communicate regardless.
His eyes move to Jace and examine him once again. Jace, the one who knew they would all die. The one who knew how futile even this alliance was. There were no childish notions left for either of them. They would improve each other's odds of survival as long as they could and then when the time came to break apart, Lallek would disappear. Lallek rests his eyes on his companion and forces heavier thoughts from his mind. Those weren't luxuries he could afford.

"Well, they don't." Lyme replied to Jace's remark. "Hence why Nettle and I are present..."
Nettle glances towards Lyme; but remains at Lallek's back. He does not respond to Lyme, although he murmurs to Lallek.
"This is most unusual. " [/b]

"Might be a little unorthodox, but I'll betcha there are others who did it and you just didn't know." They couldn't be the only two Tributes from different districts who wanted to meet without being stared at by the others.
"Besides...if they were really worried about us offin' each other, they'd keep us away from our District-Mates too." A smirk, and then he looked back at Lallek.
"They're gonna target the big alliance. I think you and me both know that. It's gotten too big, and too many. I saw it when people were just...walkin' up to the table and joinin'. Of course, half-or-more o'those people aren't gettin' out of the Bloodbath, and I'm not so stupid as to thing most of us will make it North. All those people in one place?
"It's just askin' for trouble.
"My goal here? To get out of the Cornucopia. I can managed that--if we can manage that--we can attempt to get to the rest, but...you know how it is. Best laid plans and all...."

"The Big Alliance is critical. We need to try and preserve as much of it as possible. It and the career pack have to collide, otherwise the career pack is going to run rampant. I'm going to follow behind you all, hopefully I can alert you of the careers before they are able to attack you. I'd like T.B.A. to take down or injure as many of them as possible." Lallek knew that it was an awful thought, but that was the only real way to have a chance at winning.
There was a more pressing matter than that though. That part of the plan was simple, it was loyalty that Lallek was worried about. "Are you in the Games to win them Jace? There are people here that aren't here to win. T.B.A. seems to be made of people more concerned with survival than winning." Lallek needed a partner that wanted to win, he thought Jace was that type of man but he wasn't sure.

"I was Reaped. I didn't volunteer for this. I'm in this to win, because there's no other choice." He wasn't going to die. Not without a fight." There were promises to keep. Too much to lose. He had to try and make it, if only because....
...He'd promised.
"I'm in it to win, Lallek. Don't worry on that account."
