Jasmine fired 6 times leaving her with 11 arrows, plus whatever she scavenges from the careers and recovers from the career bodies. Otherwise her equipment is: +3 bow, head, chest, and gauntlet armor (at 1), plus what's listed in her inventory on page 1 and whatever she's able to scavenge from the fallen careers. Will update this more fully when everything's divvied up from the careers. For now it reflects what she's carrying in narrative and has received from sponsors. - Bow (+1)
- Backpack containing
- 3 water skins (2 full, 1 partial)
- Snow gloves
- Thermal underwear (giving you two sets)
- Winter Jacket
- one flint and steel fire starter
- 5 waterproof matches
- Bow (+3)
- Arrows 11+Recovered
- Tin of Jerky [5 portions] (one piece nibbled on)
- Padded Vest (+1)
- Helmet (+1)
- Protective Gloves (+1)
- Diamond's Knife (+?)

I will be posting wasteland in about three hours; just wanted to give every one a chance to post in. Those in Forrest - remember you can interact and respond to others' statements and interactions; just don't get more than two posts ahead of Grrbot & Kulvar. Grrbot & Kulvar; jump on in when you get on.
The career gear to be divided up (post whose carrying it)
Jasmine found five water skins, five sets of warm, white thermal underwear, five jackets, five flint fire starters and five pairs of snow boots. As far as weapons; Silver had the finest sword in the Games and a fine armored chest plate. Emily held three fine knives; comparable to Lallek and Pearl's. Emily's pack also had one first aid kit, from which some of antibiotics and sutures were missing. The girl also had a small pack of hot cocoa powder, two tins of jerky (one only had one piece left) and a bag with six bread rolls.
Emerald's pack held another throwing knife set of three knives (finely wrought, +2), a fetch of 20 arrows and a hunting knife. Cade's pack held only the aforementioned underwear. He also had some odd cattle prod device. Diamond's pack held snare wire, wire cutters, work gloves and a poncho. Diamond also wore studded leather armor.

Can you do an NPC for my character's sister? Here's her personality:
Emily is very energetic. She also tends to get in arguments very frequently. She likes to swim but it's not really her thing. She is more into fishing when it comes to activities. On her free time she likes to play with her little brother Jake.
She is rather cheerful and peppy but tends to reject change. Emily has faith in herself but can sometimes be a bit too confident. She gets jealous sometimes and jumps to conclusions. She is caring and allows plenty of room for imperfection. She is unselfish and sincere.
She isn't always responsible though. She can be rather rebellious when it comes to her brother Kingston telling her what to do. She is silly and trusting and loves people. Emily tends to be popular around people. She is also very creative.

Hey Kaplan, How old is Emily? How is swimming not really her thing? What sort of changes does she reject? What sort of conclusions has she jumped to in the past?

She's 10. She never really liked to swim but only learned it because she needed to. Some changes she has rejected in the past are things like her brother Kingston having to take care of her because her parents died. That's why she doesn't listen to him is because she won't take him as her guardian. She also figured when she was younger that her brother was training as a career because he wanted to kill people. As what happens most often her assumption was wrong.

Ember's parents. No one in D12 knows that they are addicts but you know how people talk. So it doesn't matter if they don't know, they suspect.
Name: Ash Clay Age: 42 Job: Former Miner (before the injury)/Illegal Trader Description: Ash has that Seam look to him. Dark skin, dark hair, startling blue eyes. He’s tall but lean. Gaunt now, due to food being scarce and also his addiction. He just looks hollow. Ash only has his right leg. His left leg is gone from the knee down. And he has scar that runs down the middle of his face, marring his once handsome image even more. Personality: Ash is a man of few words. He doesn’t talk much, though he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He is a man consumed by his own failures (the daughter he couldn’t save, his addiction, never being there for his youngest child). He tries to hide his addiction well but his wife is much better at keeping up appearances. Especially when he’s going through withdraws. Somewhere deep down, Ash has a heart. He just loves his addiction more than he loves himself, his wife, or his daughter. History: Ash is Seam born and raised. His father was a miner, his father before him and so on. So Ash did the same thing. He had to with a baby and a wife to feed. He worked for a good 7 years, having another child during that time, but a mine collapse took one of his legs. That’s when he started using and hasn’t stopped since. The Clays make their living now selling the pelts of the animals Ember hunts in the wilderness.
Name: Saffron Clay Age: 42 Job: Illegal Trader Description: Saffron’s youngest daughter takes after her mother. Tan skin, jet black hair and a dark brooding stare. Her mischievousness died out many years ago and she doesn’t smile much. She looks older than she is, hardened. Her father was a Peacekeeper so she carries herself a bit like she was military herself. Personality: Saffron is more fierce that her husband. She feels like she has to be. Her husband is too weak. Though proud of her daughters, Saffron never told either of them how she feels. She isn’t affectionate, and would more likely be cruel before she would say something encouraging. Saffron would call that sort of thing “tough love.” She has a temper and it more often than not it gets the best of her. Though underneath all of that is fear. She’s afraid of losing the things she loves so she pushes them away, violently if need be. Especially with Ember. Saffron thinks she’s doing the only thing that will give her child the edge she’ll need to survive. History: Saffron lost all three of her younger siblings to the games and started using when she was just a girl. Before 19 she was married with a child and her husband was a miner. Though he would like to believe their first seven years were blissful, Saffron tells a different story. She hated being a mother and a wife. And after Ash got hurt, her disdain for motherhood only got worse, as did her addiction.

OK; I will get right on making these characters. I will do a sample post here so the creator (Kaplan for Emily, CLM for Ember's parents) can determine how it fits their vision.
FOR PRACTICE; TRIBUTE GEAR LIST Kaplan - Tank Ember - Jasmine
Any one with an approved HG 26 Char can jump in. Grrbot; you can also bring Seren in!

ooc - I am headed to craft, every one. Those awake at lake; feel free to start conversing and planning with the awake characters. Each post = 3 seconds of time. You can easily post ten times as a group. I'll respond to you tomorrow! Don't hold up fr NPCs; I'll post for them tomorrow.

OK guys, I'm probably going to take a nap when I get home today. Getting up at 2 AM again sucks. Keep on trucking; I've already caught up on what you've posted. Divide up the careers things, place the bag fror Jace & Lallek, fill the skins & whatever plans you'd like. OOC The Game Maker will make his announcement at first light so if no one wakes Jake & Lallek; that will. He will explain the Victor's Bracelets and show where the first three maps are. I'll make a new Lake thread for Day 2 for Jace, Lallek & their ally & a new Forrest thread for Jasmine, Rory, Tank and their allies. It will likely take about two hours of walking to cross the Forrest; so feel free to use the time to look for food/water sources/whatever they want. I really want to see Lallek & Jace's | Rory, Tank & Jasmine's plans unfold!

Hello - those at the Lake; please converse as you wish. In your second post from now any one who has remained awake for a watch - Rowan, Jasmine and Jace - please roll to remain awake. A failure means you have enough time to lie down in camp to fall asleep. One suxx means you say awake for another round. Two suxx means you stay awake for two rounds. Three suxx + means you stay awake for the third shift duration. Fatigue: Stamina + Resolve rolls to remain awake; reflexive action (p. 179)Todays Quickie Reminder: Willpower Willpower is not rolled. Points are spent for various effects, mostly representing sheer determination in overcoming obstacles in your characterÕs path. They can also be spent to gain bonuses to resist forces applied against your character. Characters with no Willpower points left are exhausted Ñ physically, mentally and emotionally. TheyÕve used up their re- serves of determination and tend to be listless and depressed. Characters can regain Willpower in various ways, but it isn't easy, so consider spending Willpower points carefully. Uses of Willpower are explained more fully in the Dramatic Systems Chapter, under 'Heroic Effort' p. 132. Note: Willpower is not to be confused with Resolve. Resolve is your characterÕs ongoing focus. Think of it as his long-term purpose, like a career plan. Willpower reflects your character's short-term highs and lows, his ability to dedicate himself in brief efforts to overcome challenges. Resolve does contribute to your character's overall Willpower dots, though.7 Willpower represents the ability to succeed through sheer determination. ItÕs useful for a number of things. Only one Willpower point can be spent per turn to achieve any one of the following effects. - You can spend a point of Willpower to gain a +3
modifier on a roll during a turn. Only one dice pool can be affected per turn, and the Storyteller may determine that some rolls cannot be modified in this way. You can- not spend a point of Willpower to gain a bonus on a de- generation or Morality roll (see above).
- A Willpower point can be spent to add two to your
character's Stamina, Resolve, Composure or Defense to resist mental or social/emotional pressures asserted on him, or to make a concerted effort to avoid being harmed. See 'Resistance,' p. 133.
7 Regaining WillpowerYour character can recover lost Willpower through any one of four ways, detailed below. Willpower points can never exceed your character's Willpower dots. The only way to increase her Willpower dots is by increasing her Resolve and/or Composure (see Chapter 8, p. 216 for more details). Recovering Willpower is usually a matter of reaffirm- ing your character's sense of confidence and wellbeing, so certain actions and situations may allow her to recover Willpower. Ultimately, it's up to the Storyteller to decide when characters recover Willpower during a story. Story- tellers should tailor recovery to suit the story, keeping in mind that it's a powerful and useful trait. Characters shouldn't be allowed to regain it too quickly, or else play- ers may abuse its effects. - Your character may regain one Willpower point per
scene if her actions play out in a manner appropriate to her Vice (see below). Your character may regain all spent Willpower if her actions play out in a manner appropriate to her Virtue (see below). No more than one Willpower point may be regained per scene by fulfilling a Vice. Will- power can be regained by fulfilling a Virtue no more than once per chapter (game session). The Storyteller is the final arbiter as to whether your characterÕs actions are shaped by a Virtue or Vice, and can refuse to award Will- power if your character acts purely for the rules gain and against concept.
- Your character may regain a point of Willpower
after she has had a full night's rest or the equivalent op- portunity to recharge her batteries and redouble her ef- forts. This assumes your character rests or relaxes and does not engage in strenuous activities.
- If your character achieves a significant goal or per-
forms a particularly impressive act that affirms her sense of confidence, the Storyteller may choose to award a Will- power point.
- Your character regains all spent Willpower points
at the end of a story. Not at the end of a game session, but at the conclusion of an overall story. The Storyteller may require all characters to achieve some particular goal or objective or otherwise feel like they succeed (even just a little) in order to regain Willpower. If characters are frus- trated or events result in a stalemate, a partial recovery of Willpower may be appropriate.
For the purpose of our current scene; those who have slept two shifts are going to regain 1 point of willpower. This currently includes Lallek, Tank, Pearl and Micha. It will include Jasmine, Jace and Rory if they sleep for third shift.

Grrbot; how is Klo hearing plans in Lake?
This is not possible as they are whispering away in the trees. They have posted being very careful and quiet multiple times. You can not hear them from the sleeping area. Unless you get Klo out of her bonds with a strength roll, up walk over and post an eavesdropping roll. Make a new post with hearing whispers NOT in your post.

Wonderful posts coming in! I truly didn't expect Rory to lift Lallek; well done. Going to wait for any other posts; then I will GM post for the Secretary birds. Once I make a GM post; we will be on an attack round and you can post once per turn. If you are running; we'll be doing a foot chase roll: Foot Chase: Stamina + Athletics + equipment versus Stamina + Athletics + equipment; extended and contested action (each roll represents one turn of running) (p. 65) Two suxx are needed to out run a bird for a turn. Zero/One suxx will result in an attack from a bird.

Okay, yet another update with me. I'm moving from Arcata, CA (Last truly populated town in Northern California before you get to Oregon) to San Diego. I'm hopping on a bus Sat. @ 6:30 am PT. Hopefully on the train they'll have working wifi. If they do I'll be able to check in after 2:30 until about 8ish I think. I'll do it again when I board another train at 10:30pm in LA. Then I won't be on until Monday (Y'all have to give me a day to recoup ) So Friday I might not be on at all. Hopefully there will be no huge battles. *crosses fingers*
