Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 Female
Jasmine followed Rory to the water's edge and bent down to fill her own waterskin. She didn't know how she was going to purify it yet, but she figured it would be better than figuring it out and rushing to fill her skin later. Hearing the water slosh in the skin nearly distracts her from the Anthem as it plays. Her eyes drift skyward as it ends. She wishes she could look away, tries to as the faces of those who died are projected up there for all the tributes to see. And mourn.
She felt weak-kneed for a moment as Femra's face is plastered to the sky for all to see, and few mourn. She dropped her gaze with the knowledge her fellow tributes from District 11 still live, and a sinking feeling that even with the announcement of more than one victor rising from the ashes that is the games, she will have to kill, or be killed by, her district mates before the end. It made her sick, and that was likely the point. She'd chosen the alliance over her own district... and for a moment, she hoped someone else killed them before she met them.
She knew she couldn't loose an arrow their way.
Jasmine looked to Rory as the other girl dropped to her knees. Pang of guilt at not dragging Femra away from the bloodbath rose in a wave. She wiped a hand across her eyes, banishing tears that she hadn't quite produced yet. It felt almost like losing Nomad all over again. She made her way next to Rory and touched her shoulder as she rose. The look in Jasmine's face said all it needed to 'talk with me later.'
She listened to Rory's question, stronger sounding that what Jasmine trusted her own voice to sound like, then Jace's. She cleared her throat once, then spoke, "Gatherin' water's gonna be key. If'n you'n Lallek have a plan you're willin' to share, I'm willin' to listen. 'Pecially since we can all potentially go home."
She looked to Rory. "May I swipe onna those iodine purifiers?" Talking was beginning to get difficult again, for more than one reason.

Rory Noland: District 7
With her fists clenched tightly Rory tries to hide the subtle trembles that rock her body. Silvery hazel eyes blink rapidly, beating tears back and her hand goes to her mother’s necklace. Her district token. The thing that is supposed to remind her of home. The gift from a mother she never knew. Rory glances around, wondering if her father is watching. Or Gable. What is her district thinking? District 7 is still all here. Still alive and still an alliance. The first Rory formed and for that she’s grateful. They all had a chance to go home.
Rory glances around, hoping to catch the eye of the cameras she knew were their somewhere. She clenches her district token tight. Daddy… Please don’t worry yourself sick about me… Win or lose, I’m leaving still me.
It takes everything just to nod while Jace speaks. She’ll here him out but she knows she can’t trust Jace. He might not knife her in the back, but he isn’t going to lift a finger to keep her from dying. She isn’t a part of Jace’s Alliance. And Rory knows it. Still, so long as she’s careful, she might survive teaming up with Jace and Lallek.
Something flashes briefly in Rory’s eyes when Jace asks if they remember last year’s games. Yes. But apparently we were watching two different games.
Where Jace and Lallek see only obstacles standing in the way of them and their ticket home, Rory sees regular kids just like her. That didn’t ask for this is, just like her. And want to go home just like her. She isn’t going to become someone she’s not for a better, more exciting Hunger Games. Screw the Capitol, screw entertainment and screw the idea that she had to lose a part of herself to go home. "Good to know. The shark… fish… thing will have to be addressed but it’s not as pressing as our water problem."
Just then Jasmine asks for an iodine tables and without a second thought Rory obliges, happily almost. The gesture is a kind one but the underlying message is only known to Jasmine and Rory. I’m bringing you home too. Out loud, Rory says, "Of course."
Rory takes drink from her water skin and then passes it to Rowan. "We can use your cooking pot Jace. If we boil as much water as possible we can get moving in the morning… It would require a fire though. And we’ll need to set up a watch, too. There’s eight of us, so maybe four, two-man shifts."
Looking between Jace and Lallek, Rory pauses. "So what’s this plan?"

Rowan headed over to the Lake with the others. She watched the girls for a moment; but did not bend and fill her canteen. Holding her canteen in her hand; she glances to the others. She seemed especially to be looking after Rachel. Rachel moved along after the group, falling in beside Pearl. Pearl glanced at Rachel and you are reminded of the words the two had shared in the Forrest.
"How many pills do we have left?" She asked quietly. "I have three - one for me; one for Tank. I have a pot as well, Rory."
She goes about removing a cooking pot from her pack. Using the extra undershirt as a filter and her canteen as the 'cup'; she fills the pot. She then fills her canteen; dropping in an iodine tablet.
Pearl limps over to the lake shore; kneeling to fill her canteen. Rowan hands her a pill without being asked. Pearl drops it into her canteen; swishing it around.
"You sure are eying my district partner." She says to Rowan. "Your partner ran off on us." "So did Jace and Lallek." Rachel countered. "And we're all listening to thier plans." Rowan smiled; looking Rachel right in the eye. "Rachel didn't run because she didn't see the sense in fighting, like I think Lallek and Jace did. Rachel ran because she was scared. Little girl cried and all. And I'm not saying anythings wrong with crying when killer crows are hunting you; but she ran because she was scared to fight. Which means she's a liability. A liability we are literally carrying." Rowan continues; her smile long gone stale. "You stood with us when you only had one leg to stand on. I like you, but yes, I'm watching that girl. And you know what?" Rowan's voice dropped an octave. "I think you should too. If she hadn't frozen at Cornocopia; you wouldn't have gone for her- and you wouldn't have taken that arrow."
Pearl blinked; taken aback. She stared at Rowan for a minute; glancing questionably towards Jasmine and Rory. She glances over to Rachel; whose glaring at Rowan.
Rowan stares right back at Rachel; slowly straightening with her water pot. "Maybe you could do something useful." Rowan suggests; extending the pot. "You can boil water, can't you?"
Rachel's jaw clenches. She's angry; its clear to see. But she bites her lip; looking at Rowan, her eyes flicking to the axe at Rowan's hip. It still glistens with the blood of crows.
Micha quietly slips behind Jace; her expression apprehensive. "I want to hear the plan." She echoes Rory. Perhaps a bit desperately.

Tank rolled 8 dice to "Medicine" 5,4,10,7,6,7,9,8,10,10,3 (5 successes) Tank got to work on Micha's shoulder wound almost immediately, putting cloth, bandages, ointment and sutures to good use, his large fingers surprisingly gentle and nimble as he tended to Micha's injuries. As the announcement flared up in the sky, Tank briefly paused his efforts to look up at the faces of the fallen, though unlike some of the others he shed no tears over their confirmed demise. There was nothing he could do to help them now, and they needed to be more concerned with their own survival. As the rule change was announced Tank did look up in surprise and stunned silence. This hadn't happened before in the past Games... Maybe he wouldn't have to even think now about what would happen if Rory or Rowan stood between him and going home alive. "Alright, think I've done all I can do..." Tank informed Micha. Though aspirin are present in the medkit, he makes no move to offer her any.

Jace Colton
He's sitting next to Lallek and offers him an iodine pill before he starts. "Like I said: It was Lallek's idea.
"Basically, we make this place really look like a camp. Like we're here for the long haul. While we're here, we set the battlefield. Tonight, we make a big smoky fire. Get some of our people in the trees, and we wait.
"From past Games, we know that a lot of the Tributes can't resist it. They'll come in expecting an easy mark. SOmeone who made a fire to boil water and who didn't know what kind of wood wouldn't make a lot of smoke.
"They won't be expecting a bunch of us, and as we all saw? Most of the Careers are still out there. Silver and Klo are still out there, and we can't afford that. Not if what they're saying is true, and an Alliance gets to go home.
"The least we can do is make sure that it's one of our groups, and not them. That bunch of psychos have won enough."
There's a sidelong look to Lallek. "That about right? Did miss anything?"

As soon as Lallek sees Jace and the others approaching he rises quickly and holds up his hands gesturing intensely that they stop. He may want a few of them to step in his traps later, but not yet. Once they stop moving, Lallek slides the canteen over his shoulder and crouches down by the woodpile and ignites the quick tinder. This Big Alliance would help him with the plan whether they wanted to or not. Their only other option would be to risk moving at night with tributes, hopefully moving into the area.
Lallek moves around the growing flames and navigates past his pitfalls. Subconsciously, his right hand brushes a throwing knife as he walks. When he meets with the others, he hands Jace his canteen and taps on the lid. Lallek would hand him the rebreather later.
Then he turns to Rory, Micha and the others. Lallek is still careful not to look at Pearl directly. There was hope for both of them, but he couldn't play that game. He was here for her first. Lallek hands his note to Rory. It is identical as before, but he had added on "Mind the pitfalls" as a warning for when they entered camp.
Multiple victors or not, the Big Alliance had just become a tool for Lallek now. This thing would fall apart he knew and that Tank would be the one to walk out of the mess. Somehow, he couldn't imagine they would be too keen on a betrayal, but it needed to happen. He and Jace needed to have a word with Rory, alone. Soon. That was something for him to work on. It needed to happen while they could still take the big guy down. After he was gone, dropping the others would be a relatively simple task. Maybe the careers would show up and do the work for him. Not a single one of them had been killed, yet.

As Tank examines Micha and carefully washes, cleans and stitches her wound; the thin girl visibly brightens. The wound looks much less worrisome now that it has been neatly stitched and disinfected from anything that might have been on the mutation. Micha inspects her wound; remarking.
"That's much better. Thank you. " The girl smiled towards Tank; taking a seat beside Jace. She glances between Jace and Lallek; observing quietly.

Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 Female
Jasmine dropped the tablet into her waterskin after Rory handed it to her. She closed it, and followed Jace back to the camp he and Lallek had prepared, carefully moving around what she assumed to be hidden traps when Lallek gestured to do so. In her opinion it was a sign of good faith that he didn't allow anyone to trip up on something. Then again, it likely wouldn't be a good idea to make enemies right now when it had just been announced an entire alliance could win.
She didn't believe for a moment that the number would be large enough to accommodate the entirety of the big alliance, or the career pack.
That wouldn't be entertaining enough.
She crouched and took out some jerky to nibble on as she listened to Jace and Lallek's plan. It was a decent one, and one she'd thought of, if even not in those details. When Jace'd finished speaking, she took a sip of her water.
"The trees are'a second home to me," she said, for the first time, in what seemed like days, in a voice that didn't croak or crack from thirst. "An' I'd be willin' tuh rain arrows from there. Oth'rwise it'sa good plan. Likely won't work twice, but... If we can thin their nu'bers."
She looked around the group, stowed the partially eaten jerky back into its tin. "Cook th'crows, stow th'meat, lure th'other tributes?"
She hoped Odin and Sorrel didn't come to the pillar of smoke and fire that the plan called for. She looked to Rory. She wanted to have quiet words, and mourn fallen friends properly before plan was put into action. She felt a lump rise into her throat and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. No crying right now. This isn't home with your family... She hid her face for a moment taking a swig of water from her skin.
"Amma missin' somethin' in the plan?" she asked, voice a little steadier than she'd expected.

Rory Noland: District 7Rory's eyes shot over to the fire. She shakes her head. This is all wrong. All wrong. Lallek didn't even wait to see if they were on board. He just lit the fire. She took a deep breath in and let it out. Her gaze meet Lallek. They'll attack us sideways. Rory tells herself. Lallek and Jace will wait until they least except it to stab them in the back. Rory would just have to keep her guard up at all times. "We don't really have a choice now... I'll take to the trees with Jasmine." Rory says. Her head turns when Jasmine looks at her. She flashes a dim smile. "You're not missing more than the rest of us.... Tank, Rowan you should stay back. We'll need someone fast as bait. Pearl, Micha, and Rachel are out. Pearl's injured, Micha lost Abigail today, and Rachel will give us away - not meant as an insult. I'd probably do the same. Since Tank and Rowan are going to flank whoever come here and me and Jazz are taking to the trees, that just leaves Jace and Lallek. Choose fast. Thanks to Lallek, they'll be here soon enough." Rory waits for their answer and then takes to the trees. Rory Noland rolled 7 dice to "Climb Tree" 8,2,1,6,2,6,9 (2 successes) She pulls herself up, taking a one of the flanks. The tree line is pretty straight there's only one or two ways the careers will come at them. Rory Noland rolled 2 dice to "Stay Hidden" 7,3 (0 successes) She looks down and sees her white jacket. Rory shakes her head and takes it off. Rory Noland rolled 2 dice to "Stay Hidden" 5,1 (0 successes) Rory shakes her head again. They'll see her. But not before she see them. Rory Noland rolled 6 dice to "Perception Check/Keeping Watch" 5,9,8,3,2,3 (2 successes) Rory Noland rolled 2 dice to "Stay Hidden"

Jace Colton
"If Micha wants to stay alive, she'll be useful. And no, that's not a threat. That's the truth. As for running fast: I can outrun all of you. It was part of our plan anyway."
Without a doubt.
And he was getting sick of the 'holier-than-thou, looking-down-her-nose at everyone who didn't share her martyr complex' attitude, thanks so much. "That's where we were planning on asking you to go anyway."
See? Jace Colton could be nasty too.
He looks to Lallek. When this was done? They were leaving. He wasn't going to be made to feel bad because he wanted to survive. He didn't volunteer for this, unlike Rory. He was here because his name was the unlucky name to be pulled from a fishbowl.
And while some people were willing to throw away their lives for total strangers, he was going to do his best to live for someone who had been sparked into existence in the same instant that he'd been.
He refused to be ashamed of loving his brother too much.

Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 FemaleJasmine frowned, openly at the flames. She didn't want that happening yet, but there it was. She wanted a little more time. She sighed, shook her head, and followed Rory to the trees. She stowed her new bow and set to climbing... 3,7,5,3,2,3,4,5,4 (0 successes) Well that was embarrassing... She slid back down and tried again. 10,9,3,1,6,8,9,1,7,5 (4 successes) She did a lot better the second time, and blamed her previous failure on her distraction of the fire at her back. She pulled herself up onto a branch near Rory. She crouched down and started trying to hide among the branches. 5,1,7,4 (0 successes) She looked over at Rory and saw her putting her jacket back on... and mirrored her. The white tee would stand out. She shifted on the branch to a different area. 1,10,3,1,8 (2 successes) She then sat to watch out for the tributes that would, undoubtedly, be drawn by the signal fire. 7,9,5,5,5 (1 successes) While Jasmine kept her eyes groundward, watching for other tributes, she spoke quietly to Rory. Now might be the only chance. While she wanted to be in Rory's tree offering a shoulder... "Are you alright?" she asked, "I... mean, with... We couldn't'a dun nothin' more..."

Rory Noland: District 7
"It's a shame I won't see you on your victory tour, Jace. I won't have an opportunity to ask you if it was worth it," is Rory's last words to her former alliance mate.
'I have great members in my alliance... Rory's brilliant.'... You were just playing their game, Jace...
She had been naive. Rory can see that now. Does she want to go home? Of course. But she doesn't love her life enough to give up her humanity. Maybe that would kill her in the end. Maybe they'd talk about her for the years to come. Maybe she'll get to go home.
Victors couldn't be reaped again. She'd be safe. Maybe. If she can just make it home. Rory reaches for the necklace around her neck once more. Mom... I might be seeing you sooner rather than later.
Her eyes water again. But she still doesn't cry.
"I was only trying to do the right thing." Rory whispers.
She gasps when Jasmine addresses her. Then she regains her bearings. To Jasmine's question she shakes her head. "Femra's death is my fault. I promised her... She was so little, like me but younger... If we make it out of here... I won't forgive myself for failing her."

"I'll stick on the ground." Rowan agreed; unstrapping her axe. She removes her pack and hides it behind the rock that Rachel had been sitting on.
""Touch it," She points her axe at Rachel. ""- and see what happens." The brunette walks around the fire; evaluating the trees. She decides on an older oak tree and steps behind it; pressing her body against the trunk. The district seven tribute turns and gives Jace a 'A - OK' signal.
Micha follows Rowan's suit - removing her pack and dropping it behind the rock. She removes her throwing knives and glances around the trees, looking a bit anxious. The thin girl moves to beneath Rory's tree, crouching down beside it. She pulls out a knife and stares straight ahead; stock still.
Rachel frowns; standing and placing her pack on her back; the makeshift torch still on it. She glances towards the fire and walks around it for a minute; apparently unsure where to go. She moves off to the right; farther away from the others. You think she's about fifteen feet to the right of the fire; but you can't be sure.

Though it doesn't show, Lallek swells with a sense of satisfaction when Rory concedes to his plan. She felt some sense of honor about all this, or even some sick messianic duty to the other tributes. That was sweet, but it would get her killed. No, he was doing what he had too. Ending the career threat and then hopefully this Big Alliance as well. No more unpredictable partners. No more blatantly irrational elements in these plans. Lallek was forcing the two biggest threats together, and even though it kills him on some level, he hardens his heart for what is to come. He was about to become the predator. As night settles over the camp, Lallek grabs his notebook, tosses the parachute into the fire, scurries up a tree and tries to blend into the shadows. At first his balance is off, but after resituating himself, finds a quiet comfortable position.
Climbing: 2012-06-07 04:00:39 Lallek Aldren rolled 8 dice to "Dex+Athletics" 5,9,9,1,9,2,8,2 (4 successes) Hiding: 2012-06-07 03:57:35 Lallek Aldren rolled 2 dice to "Dex+Stealth" 6,6 (0 successes) Hiding: 2012-06-07 03:57:42 Lallek Aldren rolled 2 dice to "Dex+Stealth" 5,10,8 (2 successes)
Rory's incessant whining doesn't bother him much, but he raises one finger to his lips and smiles before returning to his vigil. No chatter among the hawks, though the way Rory had been acting, she was likely a chicken with dark feathers.
2012-06-07 04:03:41 Lallek Aldren rolled 5 dice to "Wits+Comp" 4,3,9,10,6,8 (3 successes)

As the bickering alliance moves into position; some sponsors out there have last minute additions. One parachute carries a pad and pen to Lallek. Another drifts over to Jasmine; another floats into the trees to Rory. Armor all around - and a medical kit is within Rory's. The girls have a few minutes to secure their items before night truly descends on the alliance. Night brings out the nocturnal - the rustling in the underbrush; the splashes by the Lake. Animals moving about? Or careers sneaking up on you? Glancing through the trees reveal nothing threatening; yet... Emerald and Diamond lead the way to the edge of the woods. Silver and Emily stand at their backs; each leading Cade or Klo. The four who can see silently evaluate the tree break with a frown; staring at the fire. "We're here." Emily whispers to Cade and Klo. "Do you want us to leave you in the trees here or do you want to come with us?" "Oh!" Emerald grabs Silver's arm, pointing out in front. "There's the tribute from Nine." She tilts her head, frowning as she whispers. "One of the sevens is in the trees..." As Emerald whispers, Rory spots the big, hulking form of Silver and the slim, petite form of Emerald just on the other side of the tree line... Emerald rolled 5 dice to "Percepion" 9,9,5,8,8 (4 successes) Link 2012-06-07 03:50:59 Silver rolled 5 dice to "Perception" 3,1,8,7,1 (1 successes)

Rory Noland: District 7Rory nods when Lallek tells her to be quiet. She'd play their game for now. But sooner or later... Rory knows what's to come if she survives this battle. Her alliance (what is left of it) and Lallek's alliance would have to meet on the battlefield. They'll come at us sideways... she reminds herself. She had been naive. Rory can see that now. Does she want to go home? Of course. But she doesn't love her life enough to give up her humanity. Maybe that would kill her in the end. Maybe they'd talk about her for the years to come. Maybe she'll get to go home. Her eyes widen in surprise when she's spotted. Then a sinster smile curls her lips up. "Silver... you brought all these girls with you. I'm starting to get jealous. I thought I was your favorite," Rory says sarcastically, with a wink. She hopes that Jasmine has enough sense to stay quiet. She quickly glances in her direction. The look on Rory's face is clear. Don't be a hero."JACE! CAREERS!" Rory practically screams it as she takes off. Rory Noland rolled 7 dice to "Tree Running" 9,4,6,5,8,10,2,5 (3 successes) Rory surprises herself, she gone like there's no tomorrow. The armor weighs her down a bit but she's off like a little squirrel. Rory Noland rolled 7 dice to "Climb Down" 8,1,9,1,5,3,5 (2 successes) Once she gets to the treeline, Rory slides down and runs toward the fire. Once she gets to Jace Rory smirks. "They spotted me," she whispers. "I guess we're both playing bait today..." She never turns her back on Jace, Rory just unclips her axe from her belt and readies herself.

Jasmine Coverfied, District 11 Female
Jasmine scowled at Lallek's arrival. She was quickly coming to dislike the quiet District 4 tribute. She didn't trust him, but went back to scanning the forest for the tributes she knew were coming as a fresh parachute drifted down in front of her. Apparently her sponsors were still watching out for her and she spent a few quick moments donning the new armor before going back to her quiet vigil.
When the Careers came tromping through the forest and spotted Rory, Jasmine's heart froze. She slowly nocked an arrow in her new bow. Several of them looked wounded. Her heart dropped as she notices Rory's look at her from the corner of her eye. If she read it right, Rory didn't want her to be a hero.
Then Rory took off through the trees. Jasmine bit her tongue and didn't flinch, watching the careers. Silver was likely the most dangerous to those on the ground. Diamond was likely the most dangerous to everyone... and Silver was about to go after her friends.
Don't be a hero? Silver... I'm ending you if I can, she thought to herself as she slowly drew the bow back and started aiming for the spot where his neck met his shoulders. She wanted to put her arrow right through his spine.

Tank was currently stood in the middle of the area with the surrounding pit-traps donned in his new shiny sponsored armor, axe gripped firmly in one hand as he waited for Silver and the others to be drawn in closer by Rory's gambit.
As soon as Silver got close enough, he was going to ensure the life of the Career ended here. It all hinged on whether their Alliance could hold together long enough to get this done, for even Tank was aware enough to notice that it was slowly falling apart. The success or failure of this mission would determine how much faster the bonds between them would last.

As Emerald points out Rory, she draws her bowstring. Theres a wince as her tender shoulder complains; but her arm holds. Leveling the bow; she takes her shot as Rory turns to move to another tree. The arrow whistles through the air; grazing Rory's left hand. Her index finger smarts as a bloody graze forms; blood oozing out from her split skin. Rory reaches Jace without suffering further attack. The slim, sweet looking Emily wielded a wicked looking throwing knife; her expression determined as she took direction from Emerald. The girl launched her blade in Jace's direction; but it grazed a tree trunk and went astray. Emily and Emerald remain stationed in front of Klo and Cade at the edge of trees; about fifteen feet away from the fire and pits. Diamond moved forward five feet and stepped around a tree; evalauating the field. The slim blonde wears a studded leather vest; looking formidible. Her gaze swept over Rory and Jace. Her light colored eyes lit on Jace and she raised her arm. A knife blade gleamed in the availiable light. The career's arm moved quickly; hurtling a knife in Jace's direction. It splits the material - and skin - of Jace's left bicep. The glancing hit sends the knife off to land somewhere behind him. Blood begins to well in the wound; but its a minor one. Silver keeps pace with Diamond; his eyes locked on Rory. He seems to recall the girl's interference and he moves to continue forward. Studded leather envelops him; the studs reflecting the low light that the brightening stars emit. A new, finely wrought sword also is gripped in his hand. It appears that this fight won't be as easy as Cornocopia... Crouched in Rory's old tree; Micha attempts to influence the shape of the battle. Her knife skips off into the woods; ineffective. Pearl makes an attempt of her own with the same result. Rory: Emerald rolled 6 dice to "Shooting - 4 (def +armor) + 3 wp" 9,1,7,2,1,8 (2 successes) Jace: Diamond rolled 5 dice to "Throwing knife 7 - 2" 6,8,1,3,7 (1 successes) Emily rolled 5 dice to "Throwing knives" 2,3,3,6,3 (0 successes)
Micha rolled 2 dice to "Throwing knives at Diamond" 5,5 (0 successes) Pearl rolled 3 dice to "Throwing knives at Diamond" 1,4,3 (0 successes)

When the careers spot Rory, Lallek is glad that she dives from the tree. He didn't think that he would be lucky enough to see her snap her neck, but hey the careers were here and Rory still had a role to play. Reaching down, Lallek pulls out one of his good knives, there were only three so they had to count. There was Silver the bulldog drawn by fire. He was a psycho and a bully who drew too much pleasure out of the games. He was in armor though, and that would be tough to crack, so Lallek moves his eyes to a softer target. A well placed knife through the temple could drop this guy. No amount of sutures or tape could save a scrambled brain. And so Lallek hurls his knife with all the force he can muster. "Bye bye bulldog." He whispers.
2012-06-07 22:46:35 Lallek Aldren rolled 8 dice to "Dex 3+Athletics 5+Spec 1+Knife 2+High Ground 2+WP 3 -8" 2,1,6,7,7,8,7,3 (1 successes)

"Seems like it." Now wasn't the time to be nasty. Now was the time to take out a major threat, and as such he stands up, brandishing one of his hand-scythes. Two daggers are thrown in his direction, one of them grazing his arm with a scratch. And little more than. Silver. A glancing blow to Silver from his ally in the trees, and rather than let the Career turn on Lallek, Jace takes a swing at him with the Scythe. A slicing blow, and while the other boy has armor, Jace's hit is solid enough, and it's better than the s.o.b. going up the tree after Lallek. Come get me.Now he just had to trust Lallek to back him up. To keep the big Career with the sword on his toes and distracted. Maybe if he could catch his attention enough, he could take off at a run and lead him through the pitfalls. Maybe if they were lucky, the jerk-face would fall in a hole chasing Jace. Or one of them would kill him. Either way, he needed to be out of the way2012-06-07 22:44:30 Jace Colton rolled 10 dice to "Weaponry (5) + Strength (3) + Specialty (Hand Scythe) (1) + Hand Scythe (2) + Willpower (3) - 4 (Silver's Defense and Armor)" 8,9,4,7,5,8,1,5,5,2 (3 successes)

As Lallek's knife flies towards Silver, Tank launches the next part of the plan into action. Dashing towards the Career as Jace's scythe connects with its target, Tank barrels into Silver, his arms hooking around the tribute as he attempts to immobilize Silver in his tracks. Tank rolled 9 dice to "Constrict + Will" 4,10,5,4,9,3,9,2,8,3 (4 successes) Fighting the Career's instinctive efforts to break free, Tank attempted to slowly force Silver's position until his chest faced the rest of the Alliance. The quicker Silver fell to their combined attacks, the greater their chances in this battle. (Have been informed that until Silver breaks free we can ignore his Defense of 2 when we make our attacks on him.)

Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 FemaleJasmine watched Silver rush across the field, take a knife from Lallek, cut by Jace, and grabbed by Tank. She kept her bow drawn and zoned in on the base of Silver's neck, right where she'd picked right when the careers arrived. She was glad he was unaware and held still by Tank. She loosed her arrow without a further thought. Enjoy paralysis, she thought coldly to herself. DiePool Breakdown: 3dex, 5 athlethics, 3 bow, 2 height, 1 from aiming, -2 armor, 1 net from tank holding him, 3 WP, -4 called shot for a total of 12 8,10,8,7,2,9,8,5,10,5,4,10,8,3,3 (8 successes) Jasmine watched her arrow sink home with a satisfaction that would surprise her later. She pulled a fresh arrow from her quiver, turning for a new target. If Silver wasn't disabled by her shot, he had enough trouble with everyone else around.

Klo felt the whirring of the weapons flying around. Klo let go of Emily once they reached the lake. Klo crouched in the bushes on the outskirts off the forest. Klo knew this was a bad idea and from the sound of it, her alliance was losing. But if she went in she would die. But at the same time her alliance needed her. Klo bit her lip. She slowly backs up to a tree, waiting to make her escape. She would have to leave the alliance sooner or later. And it was time.

Rory Noland: District 7Rory winces when the arrow gazed her hand. Her left side is taking a beating today. But she's too fast. And now she's armored. Looks around as the battle unfolds. She wishes he could have been the one to kill Silver. But she could trust Tank to take care of the job. Just as she trusted to back her up. Emerald and Diamond are next. Her eyes narrow as she runs forward flinging her axe as Emerald. And Rory doesn't stop, she charges forward. She needs to get in close. Rory Noland rolled 5 dice to "Axe throwing (Hitting Emerald)" 2,8,7,2,9 (2 successes) She smiles as her axe clips Emerald in her left shoulder.
