Perhaps those closest to the gear table hear the only precursor to serious danger... a 'click' sound. The gear table begins to descend below the snow frosted ground; perhaps an attempt to draw tributes desparate for gear in. Rachel, Elena, Sorrel and Cain begin to move away; heading out from the Cornucopia. Joel and his pack of boys pursue the Big Alliance as they attempt to head to the Mountains. Those closest to the Cornucopia feel the heat as a resounding BOOM! sounds. The gear table becomes shrapenel; flinging hot projectiles at the closest tributes.
Tank rolled 5 dice to "Roll for avoiding bomb" 1,4,5,8,1 (1 successes)
The explosion adds urgency to the tributes that were already departing the field; as tributes flee in all directions. Some have gained valuable gear; some have lost all that was dear. Perhaps most precious of all was the loss of life. For as the Feast was officially over; the cannons begin to sound. Where are you heading? What will you do with the gear you have gained? Was the Feast worth it?
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

As people and packs began flying apart, Lallek sprints away from the blast pack in hand.
Instead of immediately returning to Jace, however, Lallek he makes a signal at Rachel, beckoning her over to him. There was a slight possibility that she would come to him, even smaller still that he could convince her to join his alliance. Regardless, there were a few plots brewing in his mind now. Options were presenting themselves and even though nothing was set in stone there is a bit of optimism in Lallek's mind now.
Standing an equal distance between Jace and Rachel, Lallek waits to see if his districtmate would heed his call. He waits, unarmed, for the response.
The Feast had turned out better than expected and the heavy pack over his shoulder reaffirms the sense of victory.

Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 Female Jasmine sprinted a few more feet away from the boys. She spun, saw they were still chasing her alliance, despite the damage they'd done, and narrowed her eyes. They weren't leaving them alone. There were others on the field. Less armed. Less armored. Fewer in number... but they chose Jasmine's alliance to continue to pursue. She rocked with the explosion down near Cornucopia as the table exploded. Took the moment of distraction it created to pull a shaft from her gift from the gamemakers and nock it to her bow. She took care, drawing the arrow back to her cheek, focused on Joel's throat. They wouldn't leave her alone, so she was going to force at least one of them to bleed out. She loosed her arrow and turned to continue her flight to the mountains. Screw you fickle Dice. 4,3,8,2,1,4,3,6,9,5,6,1 (2 successes) 4,8,5,6,8,3 (2 successes)

As the table started to descend Tank was grateful he had already snagged his gear, and he had Rowan's precious goods safely in hand to after she'd been forced to drop it and run for her lif-
Tank felt the force of something strong smack into him with the heat of a raging sun that pushed him off his feet. Miraculously aside from a ringing in his ears (and something wet dripping onto his left cheek that he correctly guessed was blood) he was unscathed. Four others hadn't been so lucky.
Staggering to his feet, Tank swayed unsteadily for a moment before heading in the direction his friends had gone as fast as his legs could currently carry him, the sounds of cannon fire only adding to the impending headache that was rapidly coming on.

Rory Noland: District Seven Female TributeEverything happened so quickly. First the table, then the explosion. Rory was far enough away not to be rocked by the explosion, thank the odds. But she could feel the heat wash over her. It was only then did she realize that Tank was within the blast radius. "TANK!" the district seven tribute shouted. However, by then Tank was on his feet and staggering away to the mountains. Almost as if Jasmine Rory planned she moved out of the way to clear Jasmine shot, pivoted on her feet and ran. The food she recieved would help keep them from starving to death. But what would have been more welcomed in this moment was a shiny new axe. Rage filled her up at the thought of those boys that followed them. They had injured someone that belonged to Rory. Rowan was hers. Hers to protect. Hers to defend. Hers to die side-by-side with. Rory welcomed that fire from within, because one thing was certain, it the trio continued on into the mountains, they'd catch hell. Rory would make sure of it. Rachel stops as Lallek motions to her; eyeing Lallek with open suspicion. She does not approach him. "What do you want?" She shouts across the distance of ten feet. The brunette gives Jace a surveying glance; ensuring that he wasn't sneaking up behind her. Rachel keeps a good grip on her sword, clearly prepared to fend off an attack if one is forthcoming. "Keep your distance." She warns. "I don't want to have to smack you like I did your little girlfriend. I see she's not even with you any more. Lovers quarrel?"
Joel makes a pained cry as the arrow draws blood from the tender flesh of his neck. "You're going to pay for that, little girl." Rye grinned down at Jasmine. It was an unpleasant grin, one that suggested Rye was several bushels of corn away from a full harvest. Rye swings his arm forward with an explosive force; leveling out a haymaker towards Jasmine. The blow makes Jasmine's ears ring and her head rock with pain; but she's still conscious. Barely. Rye makes a bellow of rage; thumping his chest with a fist. He looks intent to be hurting someone. Joel manages to keep pace alongside Jasmine as well. Through her watering eyes, he looks like a smear of blood. To the others, he is bleeding and beginning to resemble a porcupine. His face is paler than it was a moment before. Yet he's still on his feet and he's glaring at Jasmine with murderous intent. "Lucky you don't have the bracelet, bitca." He snaps his hand towards Rory. "Get her! Kill her!" Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 Female Jasmine swayed with the blow, rocking with Rye's fist. She saw stars, the helmet likely being the only thing that kept her from being knocked out outright. Rory Noland: District Seven Female TributeBitca?! Bitca?! It wasn't like Rory hadn't heard that word before. She had been branded that from time to time. She spoke her mind and she made no apologies for it. By form and function Rory was a bitca. But Joel hadn't called Rory that. He made the mistake of insulting Jasmine, her friend, her ally, her sister-in-arms. Again rage swelled within her. As she got closer to the mountains, Rory begin to make noise. She whistled once loudly which was the signal for trouble. Then she paused. And whistled three more times. Three were following them. And three would have to die. Darkness filled her eyes. And then Rory cursed those boys, giving them a hand signal that was as old as the handshake. "That's right, @$$#0(&$. It's this bitca you have to kill."She wasn't going to make it easy. And these boys just signed their death warrants. Or perhaps it was Rory that signed hers. Rory Noland rolled 6 dice to "Footchase" 9,7,9,10,1,8,5 (4 successes) [Activating Weaponry Dodge. 11 Def until next action.]

Rachel's snide comment reminds Lallek of just where he was from. We were all careers in our own way. She learned to play on people's sympathies while I was learning to throw knives.
Rather than dwell on Rachel's playing of the game, he just smirks and shrugs. She was doing well on her own, maybe too good all things considered, but it was time for Jace and Lallek's small alliance to expand. Rachel was dangerous and had proved unreliable, but he was willing to risk it for now.
Holding up two fingers Lallek points to himself, then to Jace, and then wraps them together. Waiting just a second for her to comprehend the message, he them points to himself, then to Jace, then to Rachel. This time he wraps three fingers together. Before Rachel can respond though he points to her with a single finger and then draws it across his neck as if in warning. She couldn't survive alone forever. Even though she was resourceful Rachel would eventually be found by an alliance of two or three or four and all her cunning would be put down by brute force. Lallek and Jace's situation was nearly as perilous.
Opening his arms wide and gesturing after Jace, Lallek waits with a blank face. Us or no one. Live or die. Make your choice Rachel, but time is running out.

Jace Colton
The explosion wasn't expected, and he stopped at the edge of the Forest to look for Lallek, his bag in one hand and his scythe in the other. Cannon after cannon.
A lot of people had died today. Needlessly.
He didn't have the luxury of anger right now. Not until later. Not until...
...What the h-ell was Lallek doing?
It didn't take a genius to figure out the hand-signals though, and Jace's eyes narrowed. The guy was insane, but maybe he was just insane enough to keep the two of them alive, so while Lallek stated his case to Rachel, Jace watched the field and the fleeing tributes.
Just in case one of them decided it'd be a good opportunity to go after them.

The ringleader attempted to catch up to the girls, but his wounds seemed to be taking a toll on him. Joel reached into his newly acquired bag and tossed what he found within in an overhand toss to Woef. Woef caught the shimmering, high quality crafted sword and took up Joel's directive to pursue Rory. He quickly fell behind however; turning his attention to the lumbering giant that was coming up behind him. Woef turned on a dime; slicing the sharp blade into Tank's side. Rye came in on Tank's left side like a shark smelling blood. He swung a quick punch, grazing the side of Tank's face. Tank's skin burned, but the blow didn't draw blood. It was clear these three were trying to eliminate the big alliance. Thankfully, the girls seemed to be much better at outrunning them. Would Tank follow his alliance; or take on three fighters at once? Woef rolled 6 dice to "Footchase" 1,1,10,6,9,1,7 (2 successes) Woef rolled 6 dice to "Attacking Tank [- def]" 1,9,9,2,8,3 (3 successes) Rye rolled 7 dice to "Footchase" 4,3,3,6,8,5,10,7 (2 successes) Rye rolled 4 dice to "Brawl " 5,9,7,5 (1 successes) Joel rolled 6 dice to "Footchase" 7,6,3,7,9,4 (1 successes)
Rachel stared at Lallek for a beat. Around them, the last of the stragglers were running past. One turned and gave Jace a long look. She was looking at his scythe. After a moments decision, she fled towards the Meadow. The brunnette glanced around her warily as she took a minute to decide. "You walk in front of me at all times." She declared. "I'll help in the fights, which earns me a third of the loot. You guys planning on fighting or running?"

Rory Noland: District Seven Female TributeShe was away. She was away and possibly safe for the moment. But Rory wasn't Jace. She wasn't Lallek. Leave no man behind. Rory needed to see to the safety of her district mate. Rory slid to a stop, using a free hand to swing herself around so that she was facing the boys. Her axe was in her hand as if appeared there magically. It felt at home there. She needed to make the swing count. "ROWAN! WE NEED HELP!" Rory screamed so loud she felt her throat tighten. "JASMINE KEEP GOING!"Rory charged toward Joel and brought her axe down. It missed... Rory stood there for a moment. Looking sheepishly. She laughed, nervously. "Hehe... You were prolly wondering what I was doing there. Well, funny story actually. I was... BYE!" She turned to running a little off balanced and everything went in slow motion. One second she was on her feet, the next she was falling. Rory's heart stopped beating, everything went black. She realized that her eyes had been closed. When she opened them, Rory was standing and facing the three boys. She dusted herself off and looked at the trio. "Well, let's get this over with," Rory told them, bring her axe up. She was smaller than all of these boys, but she would give them the statifaction of going quietly into the night, she wasn't a cowering mouse. Rory Noland rolled 8 dice to "Attacking + WP" 7,5,1,3,6,6,6,4 (0 successes) Rory Noland rolled 5 dice to "Footchase" 6,2,1,5,1 (0 successes) Rory Noland rolled 6 dice to "Rolling to standing position" 4,9,6,3,2,7 (1 successes)

Jasmine Coverfield, District 11 Female Jasmine's head still swirled, but she didn't hear the boys chasing her any longer. That was a plus. The downside... Rory was screaming. Words that didn't quite make sense. The terrain beneath her feet changed from the lightly packed snow of the Cornucopia to the rising land of the foothills. The mountains loomed before her. She turned around. Have to make the shot count, wound another one. She drew a second gamemaker gift arrow, nocked it, drew it to her cheek and lined up a shot at Rye. She loosed the arrow at the brawler, shifting around as her head cleared, and moving to put Rory between herself and the boys. She couldn't do a lot of help if they were all swinging weapons at her, and her spot in the growing hills meant she was in the prime location to break for it the moment Rory and Tank got free of the idiots. 9,8,8,7,4,6,4,3,5,10,7,7,7,9,7,10,8,1,7,7 (7 successes)

When Rachel recanted and agreed to join them a sense of gratification filled Lallek. She was a vile treacherous girl but a capable ally regardless. He would be careful not to let her touch anything too valuable. Lallek nods in agreement to her terms.
As for their plan, it would be simple enough for now. He holds his hands together and then slams his fingers together like a bear trap. They weren't running or fighting. They were hunting. Jace knew that they couldn't hide forever. The Feast would by them time, but ultimately they had to keep the Capitol entertained. With three people things would become much easier, even though it was less safe. There were options for the Alliance now.
Not waiting for Rachel's commentary, Lallek turns and begins walking towards the forest. As he approaches Jace, he rolls his eyes back towards Rachel. Please don't let me get stabbed in the back.
Lallek regretted not consulting his partner about Rachel but there had been no time and the idea itself was spur of the moment. Still something like this wouldn't threaten their friendship. They were much too close for that. And if Rachel really was a problem for Jace, two on one odds assured that they had a remedy for the situation.

Lallek, Jace & Rachel
Rachel followed Lallek back towards Jace, walking about two feet from him at all times. Her weapon is still in her hand, but she doesn't appear to be intent on attacking. A new bag from the Cornucopia is slung over one shoulder, along with a lighter pack. You were pretty sure that it looked fuller on the recap video, so she may have hidden gear away as well. Rachel looked confident, but limped slightly. The wound didn't slow her down much; she seemed to be keeping a conversational distance from Jace and Lallek more to prevent violent outbursts her way.
"Hello, Jace." She says conversationally as she and Lallek approach him. "You guys shook the Big Alliance? I see they got the first Victor Bracelet, though."
A quick sideways glance towards the group running towards the mountains - and the two pursuing them.
"Sure got them attention. Ooh." She makes a little giggle as Jasmine's arrow brings down a boy. "They're not playing easy to get." Rachel's gaze swung back to Jace and Lallek. "We bracelet hunting or tribute hunting, now?"
The boys realized that they were the last ones in the killing field. The bodies of the dead were stwen haphazardly thanks to the bomb blast. Bits of gear rendered useless litters the field. The time to capture the cameras attention was clearly now.
Jasmine's arrow flew true; spilling precious life blood onto the frosted Cornucopia floor. She had a clear view of the boy stopping and teetering, knowing that a cannon blast was a breath away. Rowan had apparently been using a few precious seconds while running to check her bag. She pulled out a glimmering, finely wrought throwing axe. The district seven female hurtled it over Rory's shoulder, planting it firmly in Rye's leg. The boy was already teetering from Jasmine's well placed shot and he went down in a clatter of armor and jutting bone. Rowan loped back at a jog, standing a Rory's shoulder as she inspected the fallen boy.
"Get moving." She advised Rory, taking a knee. She savagely gripped Jasmine's arrow and wretched it free from the dead tribute; followed by her throwing axe. The brunnette made a jumping motion at the remaining two boys, who leaped back from her.
"I said move, boys." Rowan smiled mirthlessly. She was covering her words to Rory, perhaps buying Rory a minute to run while knowing someone was watching her back. "Tank!" Rowan snapped. "You coming, or what?"
Rowan rolled 11 dice to "Throwing Axe " 10,3,4,7,1,8,6,5,8,5,3,7 (3 successes) Boom! [Please move to the Arena area of your choice, Cornucopia will be locked]
