Diadem was sitting near the window away from Karrigan and Bronze who were whispering eagerly back and forth. They were excited, Diadem was again stoic, almost emotionless. Each of the mentors for District One were painfully beautiful. Karrigan, the senior mentor, District One's first victor, was angelic. Bronze was handsome. But Diadem looked like a tragic beauty, her eyes held a horror only few knew, and even fewer got a chance to live with it. As Crystal and Jeager enter the mentors are finishing up a conversation. "Silver seems to like them both," Bronze said.
Karrigan nodded. "He sees potential in both of them. So do his tributes."
"We'll have to tell them that District Two is ruthless. They'll kill them in their sleep rather than risk an all out fight. Especially if that ensures them the crown."
"You could always advise them to kill them before they get that chance...." Diadem finally said. "It's what you two told me to do. And look how well that turned out for all of us."
"Would you have liked it better if you had died?" Bronze asked.
Diadem looked him in the eyes. "You and I both know there was someone better that deserved my crown more."
Bronze scoffed. "The Butcher's sister. Right. You played the game as it was meant to be played. And all you do now is lament the better person didn't win."

Crystal rolled 4 dice to "Perception"
10,1,4,3,3 (1 successes) "Hello." Crystal greeted the group. She held her notes from the train in her right hand. She took a seat facing Karrigan and glanced between the three for a moment, determining the temperature of the room. She glanced down to her notes for a moment, mentioning. "I thought the arrival was fun. We were approached by district two and I'd love to meet with them as soon as we can. Do you happen to know whose courting the Natural Alliance? If the seven male is any indicator, they expect us to bumble into some trapped camps."

Bronze nodded with a beaming grin. "I enjoyed the way you handled Seven. Someone has to knock them down a peg or two. Natural Allance... pfft..."
Karrigan smiled softly. "Mentors of District Two like our chances together. You'll be meeting with them after here. Secretly of course."
"District 9 was speaking with District 4. Most of the other districts are staying away from them. After the way the last few games have gone for them, the Naturals only have each other. 12 and 4, of course being the wild cards..." Bronze said.
Diadem said nothing for a moment. "The other districts are staying away from the Careers as well. Apparently we have a reputation as well."
Karrigan didn't frown but she nodded. "You'll just have to convince them that you two aren't like District 2. A double bluff. Convince the lesser districts that you'll protect them from District 2. Tell District 2 that you're getting chummy to lower their guards."

"The Natural Alliance has had a good run," Crystal replied to Bronze. ""- but we can't let them get a leg up on us. Jan and Ember really worked thier career pact and I don't want to see that happen again."
"Which districts are staying away from us?" Crystal asked Diadem. " I was thinking that we may want to form a well rounded alliance." She glanced at Jaeger. "Perhaps a healer or a survivalist. The odds are against there being both in the district two tributes."
"I started to plant the seeds at lunch," Crystal said to Karrigan. "- who do you think could be the strongest enemy?"[/color]
"I couldn't decide who could be our healer or survivalist, so my first station was a edible and medicinal plants station. I don't want us to be dependent on sponsor gifts to feed ourselves. "
