Grace Fields Age: 17 Appearance Grace stands at 5'8 and may remark that she wishes that she had grown taller. Her father is 6 feet, five inches yet she leveled off closer to her mother's five feet, four inches. Grace has a pale complexion that reveals little time spent in sunlight. Warm chocolate brown eyes look out from a pleasing face with a strong jaw, more handsome than beautiful. Grace's favorite feature are her hands. She has long delicate fingers and strong hands, honed from embroidery and tailoring, her family's trade. She adorns her wrists with ties of cast off fabrics, a cheap put pretty adornment. Family: Grace lives with her mother, Georgine, her father, Dale, her mother's younger brother 'Rusty' and her two younger siblings, Daniel - age eleven - and Genie - age thirteen. JENNER NORTH
The Tragic Rebel Age: 17 "When truth is buried, it grows. It chokes. It gathers such an explosive force that on the day it bursts out, it blows up everything with it." Sheet:WIP! Why he volunteered for 'The Hunt'There isn't much Jenner wouldn't do for the Rebellion. Including breaking the system from the inside, and if anyone is smart enough to pull it off?
It's him. AppearanceJenner might not be the most attractive boy in the world, but he more than makes up for it in his intensity. Dark, nearly black eyes always meet the gaze of whoever it is he's speaking to, and are always focused on the mission. He has dark hair that could definitely use a trim, and skin that would be alabaster and pale if not for a life spent working out doors. PersonalityIn a perfect world, Jenner would have gone to a good school, and it would have been discovered how terrifyingly smart he is. Since that isn't the case, Jenner's extreme intellect has been channeled into a heightened survival instinct, a ruthless efficiency, and a cunning that is unseen in most his own age.
To those who don't know him--there aren't many who know him left--Jenner is quiet and intense, taking in the world around him with a frightening pragmatism. To those few who do, they know exactly what's going on, and they know:
Whoever is on the wrong side of that intensity is will not be whole when whatever he's planning comes to fruition. HistoryHe doesn't talk about where he comes from or who he was. In fact, he's taken his entire life from the lost life of a boy named Jenner North, up to the point he disappeared. Because Jenner North was stolen by the Elite, and three days later his body was found.
He'd been brutally and painfully tortured and finally murdered over the course of three days and nights.
"Jenner" took the boy's name, and joined the Resistance movement at the age of fourteen. In his early days, it became obvious that he was exceedingly cunning, and his time as 'no one' made him extremely pragmatic. He'd lived on nothing most of his life, and had no one to count on but himself--or so he tells it--so when the Resistance began asking for volunteers to 'Break The System from The Inside', Jenner was one of the first to volunteer.
From fifteen to now, he's been "coached" secretly by Audrey Stone and her husband. While he doesn't have the beauty to do this, or even a sob story, he has something else. A certain intensity and a certain 'doesn't play well with others' that the Elite love. Audrey saw a good deal of herself in him, and picked him up as her own personal project. Together, they're going to burn the System to the ground.
Because Jenner lives for the Resistance. For the boy who's name he took. For the people lost and taken and abused by the Elite merely because they could, and he's going to get into The Hunt by hook or by crook and no one will get in his way.
No one. Secrets- Jenner North is dead:
His real name isn't Jenner North. Jenner North is the name of a boy who was murdered by the [Capitol]. "Jenner" no longer uses or acknowledges his given name. Because that boy?
He's dead too.

WESTON BRIEGHTON
Former Champion of The Hunt "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." Sheet:WIP Why did he enter The Hunt?Weston wanted 'access'. He wanted a 'in' with the so-called Elite, and the only way for a country boy to do so was to win The Hunt. He was also a seventeen year old boy trying to raise his six year old brother on next to nothing. At the very least, the winnings would help with that. AppearanceThe Breighton Boys are lovely--all three of them. Weston is the eldest, and he stands at a firm and average six feet, with blue eyes and dark hair. A chiseled jaw and full lips, it was obvious that his looks were one of his definite 'selling points' to the judges during interviews. Add to that his natural charisma, and it's little wonder he made the final cut for his Ward that year. PersonalityFor all Weston is charming, there's steel underneath all that 'silk' and a ruthless, feral efficiency that the Elite weren't expecting. He's got a devil-may-care mask, but hidden beneath is a creature of determination and intent. Ambition is for fools, and for all he adores and loves his wife, he has a goal that he will see to fruition.
Or die trying. HistoryWeston is the eldest of three boys, having grown up on a ranch in what used to be Texas. To say that they were untouched by the dispartity between the Elite and their own class would be a lie, but for all the world was notoriously unfair, Weston grew up happy and as healthy as his parents could manage on their horribly limited income.
Fifteen. That's how old he was when the world began to end. Fifteen when his brother Sawyer was stolen from their family. Unceremoniously snatched from the horse paddock while two men in black suits held him back. His thirteen year old, gentle younger brother who was shoved struggling into the big black car. The only thing Weston saw of the people who took him were fine clothes before the door closed and they drove away.
Two days later, a man came. A man with an envelope full of money for his parents. His father threw it back in the man's face because Sawyer wasn't for sale. Gentle, kind Sawyer...
...His parents were killed in an 'accident' three months later.
Weston was left with nothing. His parents' ranch was seized and he had nothing with which to raise his youngest brother Chance. After a year of surviving on nothing but grit and willpower, Weston left Chance with a couple of relatives and signed up for The Hunt, naming his younger brother his next of kin should, on the off-chance, he die last.
He didn't die.
Weston went into The Hunt to win, and win he did. Along with the girl he would eventually marry and a few others. Their win was one of the bloodiest and ruthless wins in The Hunt's History, and Weston wears that distinction like a badge of honor.
And now, being a Champion, he has access to the Compounds of the Elite, and eventually he'll get Sawyer back or die trying. Secrets- Rebel Son :
When he wasn't able to take care of his brother Chance on his own, the rebellion scooped him up and helped him. Without them, he'd be dead. It also doesn't hurt that he wholeheartedly believes in The Cause. Those monsters have his younger brother, and he'll do anything to get him back. - Sawyer:
HE knows Sawyer is alive. In fact, he's been in the same room with his younger brother more than once since his win, and he's seen the way in which Sawyer's 'Keepers' treat him. There will be no mistake, when the rebellion burns the Elite to the ground Weston is planning on making sure that Sawyer's Keepers are the first thrown onto the pyre. Relationships with other characters- Audrey Stone:
They became Champions together, they developed a ruthless friendship and eventually romance that off in the imaginations of the Elite. Their love is a very real and tangible thing, as intense as the two of them are.
That she's helped him to raise Chance just adds to it, and she's sworn to help him get Sawyer back is even more. She's the most amazing woman he's ever known hands down. - Chance Breighton:
Chance is significantly younger than Weston. Weston is twenty-five and Chance is only fourteen. It could be argued that Chance is even more lovely than Sawyer ever was, and Weston rarely lets his younger brother out of his sight. He remembers what happened to Sawyer. What is still happening to Sawyer. He isn't letting his brother anywhere near the Elite if he can help it.
Chance was left with 'family' when Weston went into The Hunt, and that 'family' were members of the Rebellion. Chance was very young when Sawyer was taken, and because of it Weston is terrified that someone will come after him. After all, the Breighton boys are known for their beauty, and the Elite don't take 'No' for an answer. - Sawyer Breighton:
Sawyer is a goal.
When they were kids they were close. Only two years apart and nearly inseperable. Weston took Sawyer's kidnapping harder than almost anyone, and the only thing that kept him grounded was the fact that his youngest brother needed him. Now, Weston's greatest goal is bringing his family back together, and he'll burn the world to the ground to do it.

OLIVIA "OLLIE" DUNCAN
The Action Survivor Age: 17 "Behold! This field in which I grow my &#(%$. Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren." Sheet:WIP! Why she volunteered for 'The Hunt':Her brother is dying. There's nothing anyone can do. There's meds that could help him. But her family can't afford them. He's the light of the family. She's the black sheep. When Ollie did the math it was simple. AppearanceOllie would tell you there's exactly nothing exceptional about her. She's not beautiful like her other sisters or some of the other girls in her ward. She's not tall, nor is she short. Ollie would tell you that she's positively average in every way, easily overlooked; just another tomboy too plain to standout in any way what so ever. But Ollie would be wrong. No, she's not a famed beauty, but she is attractive, albeit in an unconventional way.
Ollie has a tan complexion, dark brown eyes, and long curly hair. She has a defiant swagger.
She isn't lean in the way that would tell others that her family is starving. Her leanness comes from her day to day life. But she does move with a certain swiftness, it could be because she likes to dance. Though it's said she walks like she's on an @$$-kicking mission. PersonalityThe first thing people notice about Ollie is that she's got no filter. Like none. She says what she means. She means what she says. And she usually says it very loudly. And to her, tact is something lairs use to make friends. Ollie's convinced herself she doesn't need friends. Not to say that she isn't likable when she wants to be. Her need to stick up for the underdog has won her fans in her ward. But there are still a lot of people that don't like her. Not that she cares.
Ollie's the type to make a bad situation worse with that mouth of hers. Zero impulse control. It could be said that it's a defense mechanism. Not by her. Ollie'd never admit out loud her faults but she's plagued with doubt and self esteem issues. She is self-aware which at times is a burden among people that have been beaten into an oppressing routine.
It's hard for her to make friends, though she seems to most comfortable in the presence of strong females. Men unnerve her. Not because she's attracted to them; Ollie has a mild appreciation for both sexes. It's just that strong men outside of her family isn't something she's used to being around. That being said, in the absence of actual leadership Ollie leads because "who else is gonna do it?"
Ollie also tends to bite off more than she can chew. She speaks before she thinks. Acts before she can truly assess the situation. But one thing that sets Ollie off is a bully/abuser. Bullies make her blood boil. And although she isn't much of a fighter she'll always stand up to a bully. HistoryOllie's parents didn't stay together too long. Just long enough to pop out four or five kids. Well you see, her mom had four. Her dad... had five. So, that's how that went. Ollie was born third, after her sister, Sarah (21), and her brother Matthew (20). Issac (16) was born a year later. Their father has another daughter, Adele (13). Ollie and Issac were the only ones that spent any time with him until their father passed away.
Since they were small, Issac was always a sickly child. High spirited but sickly. So when the doctors told them the sickness had got into Issac's blood, they knew there was nothing you can do. Their mother climbed into a bottle and never climbed back out. Sarah and Matt took up the job as parental figures. But Sarah's gotten married. And Matt is looking to start a family of his own with his girlfriend.
The docs gave Issac a few months. He's lasted almost a year. But it's not looking good. And Ollie knows that Issac is the glue that's holding together what little family she has left. Which is why surviving the Hunt is so important. Even if she doesn't live, whatever money she does win will go to Issac's treatment. Secrets- Future Contestant:
Ollie knew Sarah and Matt would stop her from applying. But Ollie's done it in secret every year since Issac got diagnosed. - "Yes," she replied when someone asked if she liked boys or girls.:
Ollie's never had "someone." But she's a girl with many crushes. Many crushes. Some of them girls. Some of them boys. She has been kissed before. But she's never had someone. Ollie considers herself picky. She's looking for something in particular. Relationships- Sarah Monroe:
Sarah is Ollie's older sister. The good daughter, who did what she was supposed to do. Even after their mother took to drinking. Sarah and Ollie have always been at odds. Ollie is a free spirit. Sarah is very much a person about duty and tradition. She won't approve of Ollie being in the Hunt. Even if she understands her reasons. - Matthew Duncan:
Matthew and Ollie have a better relationship, as he often plays Good Cop, to Sarah's Bad Cop. But Matt is still seen as an authority figure so she rarely even heeds his advice. Through Ollie does listen to him more than Sarah. Which again isn't saying much. - Issac Duncan:
Issac is her closest and possibly only friend. And he's dying. Issac is the only person in the family that always knows what she's thinking. He's a seer, she says. But she loves him the most out of all of her siblings. She'd do anything for him. Including putting her life at risk. - Adele Duncan:
Outside of Issac, Ollie is the only one that doesn't treat Adele like a burden. She accepts her as a sibling, though she can't really see a resemblance. However that could be because she's said to slightly favor her mother's side of the family, and her and Adele share a father. - Weston Breighton:
Weston is an ex-Champion from her Ward. Ollie is fascinated by him. Not in a crush type way. He's pretty. His wife isn't that bad to look at either. But it's not that. She's studying him. She's always wondering what made him come home when others didn't. Since she applied for the Hunt about two years ago, Ollie has been trying to figure Weston out.

DAWN BUCHANAN
The Daughter of the Resistance “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.” Sheet:WIP Why did she enter The Hunt?Dawn's entrance into the Hunt was to be the last nail in the coffin of the Resistance. She was made to join. Made to play this game. But she survived. Survived when the odds were against her. And wants more amazing is that she was also able to make the whole nation love her. And as a result was kept alive even after her victory, making a record as the youngest Champion ever crowned, surviving the hunt just a week after her 14th birthday. AppearanceDawn's husband would say she's the most beautiful woman in the world. But Dawn has always seen herself as a plain Jane. Sure anyone could be made to look like the Elite's definition of beauty. But Dawn has never seen herself as a famed beauty. However, Dawn does process an undeniable strength of self that makes it hard for her to go unnoticed. And she may be what some people define as a classic beauty. Even as a youth she held herself with a certain poise and as she's gotten older the word regal gets thrown around a lot in reference to her.
She has chestnut brown hair, hazel eyes, and a pale complexion. She could also be described as small or petite, standing at maybe 5'3. PersonalityThere is more to Dawn than meets the eye. And she certainly knows how to use that to her advantage. She's sharp and an expert at reading people. Because she had to be. Since her parents died Dawn's life had a mind field. She's learned to tread lightly and she is a surgical as a scalpel when it comes to playing in both the political and entertainment aspects of the Hunt. Where Weston used his natural charisma and willful ruthlessness to bring him across the finish line, Dawn played the game like a deadly chess match. She uses that same kind of cool pragmatism into the way she deals with the Elite, save for her husband.
However, that isn't the Dawn's true face. Reversed only for those in her inner circle there is a said of Dawn that is more approachable. More human. She is a loving mother and committed partner. She also cares deeply for others and has a gentle heart. And though Dawn can captivate millions with her speeches, in honest interactions she is awkward in a way that could be categorized as adorable. HistoryDawn was born in the thick woodlands of her ward. To those who know the history of the Resistance Movement, little Dawn Hale was considered rebellion royalty. The first generation of a merging of two families who's involvement with the Resistance was considered legendary.
Dawn was raised knowing what her destiny was and she never ran from it. Even after each of her family members were taken from her but the Elite and she was thrown into the Hunt, Dawn stayed strong. She was the youngest Champion in the Hunt's long history, bringing a sizable group across the finish line and in the process spinning a narrative that even the Elite fell in love with her.
Since her victory, she has earned a reputation for naming potetnial dark horses. She rarely mentors contestants but when she does they are typically unconventional in some way. Secrets- “I never cared for the term rebel or a subversive, and I have an equal dislike for being called a leader. I am a patriot. No more. No less.”:
Dawn is considered to be a leader in the Resistance. She acts as such, though she isn't fond of being treated as if she is more important than any other in the movement. - “There was a time... just after my victory that I thought I'd follow Maddox to the grave.”:
Maddox Gray was a boy who volunteered for the Hunt to save his older brothers from execution. After surviving, Maddox fell into a deep depression and never crawled out of it. She found him while traveling one of their press tours. He wrote her a note that she has never read. Though she made sure that his family got the one addressed to them. After Maddox's death, Dawn looked like she was going to go the same way. But she was able to find strength in Augustus, Weston, and Aubrey, as well as her mentors and fellow survivors. AUGUSTUS "AUGGIE" BUCHANAN
The Elite Rebel/Relentless Academic and Philanthropist "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for the good men to do nothing." Sheet:WIP What does he have to do with The Hunt?Augustus--fondly called Auggie by his wife--has absolutely nothing to do with that barbaric death-walk. He is, however, married to the most beautiful woman in the world, who also happens to be a Former Champion. AppearanceAugustus is everything the Elite love. Refined, well-spoken, highly educated and beautiful. He stands at six-feet, with bright amazing blue eyes and dark brown hair that's always styled 'just so'. Unlike most of the other Elite, he prefers his natural look, rarely--if ever--experimenting with plastic surgery and prosthetics and dyes. After all, the only person he needs to please things he's amazing, so what's the point? PersonalityHe's relentlessly intelligent and academic. The epitome of everything the Elite believe their sons should be. He reads constantly--and anything he can get his hands on--and can debate politics and the 'state of things' with men twice his own age.
Anyone who knows him will say he's funny, extraordinarily kind, and extremely philanthropic, with a quick wit and unrelenting snark. He can be the life of the party if he chooses to, and you're hardpressed to find anyone who dislikes him.
Anyone who really knows him knows the truth of it: In his own way, he's more dangerous than any other member of the Rebellion.
He's the one they don't see coming. Historytext Secrets- The Rebellion's favorite Son-In-Law:
While he didn't know who and what she was when they first started seeing each other, Augustus has been somewhat involved with the Resistance. It wasn't until they were engaged that they found out about the other's involvement, and they found out completely by accident.
Since then, he and Dawn have gotten married, had a child and they're as active in the Resistance as ever. Relationships with other characters- Dawn Buchanan:
He could wax poetic about his wife for hours, but in the end what can he say that wouldn't be cliche? He loves her, would kill and die for her, and believes wholeheartedly in her cause. She's promised to find the people who woudl have been his parents if he hadn't been stolen by an Elite family at the age of two.
Augustus doesn't have the heart to tell her it wouldn't make a difference. After all, he doubts he'd fit anyway. - Sawyer
Breighton: Sawyer. What can he say about Sawyer other than the young man hadn't been nearly as lucky as he had been when he was taken. Sawyer was stolen from his home when he was thirteen--old enough to remember the kindness and love of his parents--and taken to one of the Compounds of the Elite. The time he's spent with Sawyer without the influence of his Handlers is intriguing. Where others see a broken, beautiful and willing vessel for abuse, Augustus knows the truth. That Sawyer is biding his time, and helping in the only way he can.
Augustus is more than determined to get him out of that hell, and to give him something like a real life in the future. It's just easier said than done. - The Breightons:
In public, they pretend to hate each other. After all, his wife married 'the enemy', and Augustus knows that the 'hatred' is necessary. Their friendship wouldn't be a believable one. Behind closed doors is a completely different story.
Should anything happen to Aubrey and Weston, Augustus has promised to not-so-subtly adopt Chance into his own household if only to protect him. Though...that may have to happen anyway.
Augustus has heard things about Chance amongst The Elite, and he might have to swoop in and do something--the only thing he can--about it.In fact, he's already begun making the arrangements.... Inventory:

SAWYER BREIGHTON
The Attendant “Yet even in the loneliness of this place I know there are others like me who have brothers they do not understand but wanted to help. We are probably those referred to as "our brother's keepers," possessed of one of the oldest and possibly one of the most futile and certainly one of the most haunting instincts. It will not let us go.” Sheet:WIP! Why he's here.He was taken as a boy of thirteen. Taken to a place where he was educated and taught a good deal of things in ways that no one should ever learn them, and for a purpose no one should ever be forced into. If it weren't for the fact he has two brothers out there somewhere who The Elite have threatened in myriads of terrifying and horrible ways, he'd have run when he came of age.
He doesn't have that luxury, and so long as Weston and Chance draw breath, he never will. AppearanceSawyer has been trained from the age of thirteen to be the perfect escort. Highly educated, refined, and he looks amazing on the arm of anyone he is with. Bright, laughing sky blue eyes and dirty-blond hair. He's an easy six-feet tall, with an athletic, lithe build. He's as well taken care of as he can be. It's a job requirement.
He's rarely seen publicly anything short of richly attired. With clients, he's always elegant regardless of garb--or lack-there-of, as the case may be. PersonalitySawyer is a gentle soul, and by all accounts always has been. He took well to the lessons in control he was given, excelling more quickly than others who were taken. As such, he's extremely pleasant and skilled in knowing what his clients want and need before they themselves do. It's a talent, not a skill. One he's done his best to hone.
Sawyer is always exactly what his clients want him and need him to be. A confidant, a friend, a lover...he'll do whatever it takes and seeing as he chooses his clients most of them allow it. There's a certain air of discretion and propriety he exudes at all times, and people trust it. A secret is always safe with Sawyer (when it comes to his clients). It's a code he has, and he won't break it for anything (save perhaps the safety of his younger brother).
There's also a streak of protectiveness in him that's second to none, and he's been known to take clients that others won't if only because it keeps younger, more fragile people in his position safe from whatever abuse the job entails. HistorySawyer always felt, when he was young, that he faded into his brother's shadow a good deal. Where Weston was intense and engaging, Sawyer had the propensity for being quiet, being watchful, and was often overlooked.
At least, so far as he could see. The truth of the matter was that Sawyer was anything but overlooked. Everyone said he was the 'pretty' child. The one who would 'stop hearts' when he got older, and his gentle nature would make him a good husband for whatever wife he choose.
He grew up on a ranch, was his older brother's best friend and his youngest brother's favorite person, with a reputation for kindness and gentleness second to none. In hindsight, maybe his family--he--could have been more careful, because the day he was taken will forever be burned into his mind in perfect clarity.
He'd been saddling one of the horses. He and Weston were planning on going riding, and he'd been saddling his brother's horse for him when a shadow fell in from the doorway to the stable. He'd turned to see who it was, and felt Weston come into the stable from the other end, and then heard is brother's shock before the man in front of him began striding forward. Before two others joined him and grabbed him up.
He remembers struggling, if only to get back to Weston because he was so afraid that they'd hurt his brother. Until, at least, he was shoved into a big black car and the door was shut behind him.
From there, he was taken to one of The Domes. The Pleasure Dome, with it's expansive gardens and beautiful temples, and from the ages of thirteen to seventeen, he didn't see the outside world. He was trained to be an Attendant, and he became an amazing one.
Of course, he wasn't there willingly. When he addressed his desire to go home, the Handlers of the Guild insisted that if he tried to leave they'd harm what was left of his family. His brother Weston was a Champion by then and able to take care of himself, but Chance was still only a boy, and they'd take his brother and train him in the same way.
A nineteen, he met Seger Nix. That year, Seger had won the Hunt on his own, and one of Seger's sponsors paid for 'A Night of Pleasure' for his favorite as an act of gratitude. Sawyer had taken the contract, willing to meet with the young man. It was an educational and enjoyable evening for the both of them, and Sawyer added Seger to his list of preferred clients.
It was his most highly guarded friendship until it became more. While Sawyer has kept his other clients, he loves no one else more than he loves Seger. So much, in fact, that he's now fighting in the only way he can.
By acquiring more high profile clients, and robbing them of any information he can manage. Secrets- "We start training at twelve or thirteen, years of discipline and preparation before the physical act of pleasure was even mentioned. Control was the first lesson, and the last.":
The Academy isn't much of a secret, though a lot of it's methods definitely are. Many of the students there are willing and indeed wish to be there. But then...there are those like Sawyer, who was taken from his home and forced into this life through threats to his family. - "It isn't only my freedom I'm trying to acquire.":
For the past few years, Sawyer has been choosing clients the same way he always has...but he's added a few to his list as well. Those higher in government. Those with secrets that would be frowned upon even by the Elite. He uses his time with them to gather information, and in fact has become quite good at it. Relationships with other characters - "Your brother, Weston. He's a Champion its' true. But...accidents happen.":
Weston is invincible in his mind. He has to be, to have survived those years alone with only Chance, and to survive The Hunt. They threaten him all the time, but it rolls off of Sawyer's back because...
...Weston is invincible. - "And isn't your youngest brother Chance about...the same age you were when you were admitted to the Academy?":
To Sawyer, Chance is still that tiny boy he left behind. He's still helpless and vulnerable, and while he logically knows that Chance is a teenager now, in his heart....
...Chance is still his baby brother, and there's nothing he won't do to protect him. - "You think we don't know about him. We know everything.":
Seger Nix is the only reason--save Sawyer's need to protect his brother Chance--that this is even bearable. Seger is a Champion from a small fishing village in one of the less horrible Wards, and while he began as a rather hesitant client things have become much more complicated between the two of them.
While Seger has sworn he loves him, Sawyer is terrified--with good reason--of expressing the same sentiment. But while he hasn't said the words, he knows that he does and that scares the hell out of him.
He doesn't have the luxury of love. - "I feel like she's grooming me for something. Our meetings are more than just pleasure. They're lessons.":
Soliel Wynter is on Sawyer's preferred client list. It's rather exclusive, with very few others. They are extremely formal with each other, using the ceremony they were both taught as a sort of starting point and ending point at all times--regardless of the nature of their meeting. Still, Sawyer feels that there are definitely lessons hidden in their interactions.
And he's taken to paying a good deal of attention.

AUBREY STONE
The Nominal Hero “Whatever doesn't kill me... had better start running.” Sheet:WIP Why did she enter The Hunt?Because she wasn't really given a choice. Since a very young age, Aubrey knew she was going into the Hunt. Her parents, particularly her mother wouldn't take no for an answer. Aubrey won. But that shouldn't really come as a surprise. Most people thought she would have made a great hunter if she didn't enter the Hunt. AppearanceAubrey is average height and solid. She doesn't look like she should be graceful, but she moves like a cat and she's built like a boxer. Pretty in a tomboyish way, Aubrey has a broad, mischievous grin and an intense, brooding stare. She is 5'8, dark tan complexion, with long black hair, and amber eyes. Aubrey also has several old scars from her time being hunted. The faint scars on her arms, neck, and face are not from the Hunt. And she tends to carry herself with a casual kind of saunter. PersonalityAubrey’s personality could be typified as ‘male’. She is the best there is at what she does and she knows it. She’s brash, ballsy, and brilliant. She puts up a tough front of being flippant and unflappably cool, but she’s softer than most people give her credit for. It often seems that Aubrey is incapable of taking anything seriously. She makes a joke out of the most serious situations, and forces humor into any encounter that turns uncomfortable. She brushes off the foolish risks she takes with her own life, refusing to listen to anyone who tries to get her to think differently; even when she does come close to paying a price for her recklessness, she can't seem to get her head around the idea that her death would affect anyone else. The flip side of her glibness is that she has an excellent sense of humor, quick with a jest and easy with a laugh.
Aubrey’s spent a lot of her life seeming to take everything head on, when in reality she bottles up a lot of her inner demons and hides from the ghosts of her past. Aubrey holds a lot in, both from the world at large and from herself. She lives very fast and hard, in part, though you’d never get her to admit it, to keep herself too busy, too worked up, too loud to listen to herself, to worry, to let her past catch up to her. Aubrey has lingering demons from her childhood. HistoryAubrey was born in the ruins of Old Detroit. An only child to a single mother and a father that didn't bother sticking around long enough for Aubrey to even remember him. Her mother was obsessed with fame and wealth. Her own bid for the Hunt was never accepted and she wasn't eligible to become a hunter, especially with a child on the way and no husband. But that didn't stop her mother from putting all of her eggs in Aubrey's basket so to speak.
When other kids were playing tag, Aubrey was being taught how to properly swing a knife. Her mother accepted no weakness and any failure was dealt with harshly. And at 13 Aubrey's mother began to push her to volunteer for the Hunt. It took a few years but Aubrey was accepted and she became one of the hunted.
However, where people thought she would die, Aubrey found her calling; making her hunt one of the bloodiest to date. She also has the highest kill count of any former champion to date, killing not only any contestant that tried to take her or Weston out but most of the hunters that crossed their path as well (well, at least the ones Weston didn't drop first).
Since her victory she splits her time between her ward and Weston's and together they raise his brother Chance. Secrets- “Throw me to the wolves and I'll come back leading the pack.”:
Aside from being a member of the Resistance, Aubrey trains potential contestants for the Hunt. Her hope is to find someone that is capable of doing what she couldn't do a few years ago. She thinks she's found one. But only time will tell. Relationships with other characters- “Too bad b!tches! He's mine.”:
On first glance West-brey (Their couple name), don't quite match. He's pretty. Like way pretty. And Aubrey... isn't... that pretty. Not that she ever gave a flying you know what about that. What matters to Aubrey is that Weston is everything she could have ever wanted in a partner. She'd die for him, and she already has proven she'd kill for him. Together they have the power to set the world on fire... It's a good thing their on the Resistance's side.
When they married she kept her last name because Aubrey Breighton didn't sound as bad@$$. - “Dawn sold out. Period. End of story.”:
Aubrey and Dawn met when she was fresh off of her history making victory. Aubrey was surprised by Dawn's softer side. But warmed up to her, after she survived with Weston. And from there the three formed a strong friendship. All that changed when Dawn told them that in order to keep the Resistance moving, they had to make everyone believe it was dead. So when Auggie proposed publicly, Weston and Aubrey played their roles perfectly. Everyone thinks Aubrey can't stand Dawn and her husband. Behind closed doors it's a different story. And Aubrey tries to look out for Dawn the way a big sister would.

SEGER NIX
The Spiritual Champion of the 95th Hunt "This blade never lies. It always finds it's justice. If you walk out of this room it'll be because you were meant to. If not...perhaps in your next life you'll learn to be kind." Sheet:WIP Why he volunteered for The HuntSeger volunteered for The Hunt because his family desperately needed the money to save their home. THankfully, he'd been training from the time he was young to volunteer anyway so it wasn't such a hardship.
Winning, and then finding out his family's home had burned to the ground--with all of them in it--while he was gone was an exercise in the cruelty of the world.
"We plan. The One Laughs." AppearanceAngular and wiry, Seger isn't the biggest person in the world. In fact, he was small for his nineteen years when he won the Hunt, and he hadn't gotten much bigger. Still, he's built well for his size and is stronger than anyone would give him credit for. Dark eyes, dark hair, and an olive skintone mark him as the sort of person who worked out of doors his entire life, and when he's in his own Ward he does so still.
When in The Domes, Seger dresses as a Champion or one of the Elite is expected to: Decently well and somewhat casual formal, if not a mite more subtle than most. When home in his Ward, he wears...very little, as it's extremely warm.. PersonalitySeger is difficult to pin down. There are moments when he's engaging and amazingly open, with an infectious smile that lights up a room. He'll laugh and carry on with members of the Elite who are his own age, and seems to have melded well with the populace after his win.
It's why his other side often--always--comes as a shock. Because there is a frighteningly territorial side to Seger, and a darkness that frightens those very, very few who know him well. Seger, it seems, is a man of many masks. No one really sees through all of them, and he seems to like it that way. HistoryThe villages along the coast of Seger's Ward are tiny, poor, but picturesque in a way that the Elite seem to think is quaint. Seger just sees home, and he couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
He grew up knowing he'd be a fisherman, but at the same time engulfing himself in the vocation of 'spiritual guide'. Even while he trained for The Hunt, there was a reason. A purpose. Only a man who has something ot live for--something to die for--would ever stand a chance, adn Seger knew that more than most.
His village was extremely poor though, and they were in danger of being completely swallowed up by The Corporation. Seger volunteered for The Hunt a year early as a means to save it, seeing the prize money being more than enough even if he had to share it to save his home. He made a couple of alliances, was voted into the final group, and was a "Dark Horse" to many, seeing as he wasn't as strapping as the other boys.
Only he and another survived the trip, however. They were ten miles from the finish line when the girl inexplicably attacked him, after a fight that is still spoken of as 'one of the most desperate and intense moments in The Hunt's History', Seger managed to best her. HE crossed the finish line alone and between teh prize money and sponsorships, as well as the huge gifts many of the Elite gave him, he had more than enough to not only save his village, but to rebuild his home into something amazing.
At least, until he found out--while he was healing--that it had burned to the ground. A complete accident during a hurricane. A gas line and...his head was reeling and he didn't hear much. He was assured it was an accident.
Not that he believed.
The land had been seized, and suddenly Seger had no place to go. He bought a small house in one of the other villages, and while he's home he stays there. He isn't 'family' though, so he tends to spend a good deal of time in The Domes.
After his win, one of his sponsors--one who'd bet a good deal of money on the fact he'd win and survive--sent him an Attendant. The man was waiting for him in his room one night when he returned from dinner, and the moment Seger laid eyes on Sawyer he felt a connection to another person he'd never felt with anyone before. He learned quickly that an Attendant was not at all what people believed outside of The Domes. Many believed them to just be expensive whores, but Sawyer proved he was anything but that evening. They talked for a good long while about nothing, and Sawyer managed to draw out of him that he'd never been with another person in 'That way' before. Instead of patronizing him or even laughing, Sawyer just nodded and listened. Didn't judge. Didn't even offer to 'be his first'.
For the first time in his life, Seger realized he had a friend.
Eventually it became more. Sawyer was beautiful and kind and everything Seger thought he'd want in a partner, and Seger didn't want anyone else in that manner. There are still the quiet nights where they do nothing but talk, but Seger knew he was in love. It took him awhile to recognize the feeling, but in the end he knew. There was nothing he wouldn't do for Sawyer, and when he told the other man how he felt, he wasn't at all shocked that Sawyer couldn't--wouldn't--say the same.
Because he knew what Sawyer's life was. These stolen moments with Seger were few and fleeting, and for the most part Sawyer's life was a circle of hell. One that Seger became more and more determined to get him out of. He knows more than most about Sawyer. About how he was taken from his home for no other reason than he was 'a beautiful child'. That while he chose his own clients, he still had no choice in his vocation. How he'd give almost anything to be free. To go home--wherever home was now--and to maybe have something like a normal life.
And there is nothing Seger will not do for Sawyer, and he's determined to give him that life he wants and to convince him that he always has a home so long as Seger breathes. Secrets- "I've killed, and I'm not talking about The Hunt." :
There isn't a Champion alive who hasn't taken the life of another person. It's the nature of the Beast, and Seger is no exception. What he's never told anyone is that there have been others. Others who weren't Hunters or Contestants. Others who he's deemed not worthy of the precious air they breathe.
Whether they've harmed someone random and he's seen it, or--much, much worse--they've harmed the one person he loves, it doesn't much matter. People both Elite and Common alike have fallen to his version of justice. - "There is nothing I would not do for him." :
Not long after his win--and the death of his family--Seger met an Attendant named Sawyer. He began as one of Sawyer's chosen clients, and for all he couldn't afford to spend as much time with him as he liked, Seger found himself strangely drawn to the other man. For a time, he told himself it was by design: After all, an Attendant is meant to be alluring and warm, but no one had ever brought out feelings like Sawyer did in him. Protective, territorial, and intense desire.
Their affair began a couple of years ago, and it has been a string of stolen moments and nights that are very quickly becoming unsatisfying. He knows it's impossible, but he wants Sawyer to himself. It's why he's been spending time with the Buchanans lately....
He can not stand watching Sawyer made to be this for much longer. Relationships with other characters- “You are the answer to every prayer I've offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have.” :
He loves Sawyer. He's said he loves Sawyer. He refuses to hide it, and is fierce in it. Clients who do him any damage are 'seen to', up to and including disappearing. Sawyer doesn't seem to have caught on yet, and Seger is intending to keep it that way. For all Sawyer is understanding, and for all he knows Sawyer loves him, Sawyer also has a gentle heart.
Seger is intent on protecting that gentleness for the rest of his life. - The Buchanans:
He was one of Dawn's 'Dark Horses'. She'd picked him out early as a winner, and when he learned of it he wanted to meet her. He wanted to know the woman who had so much faith in him even having never met him. He certainly wasn't disappointed, as she was just as inspiring and amazing as she was on screen.
Her husband is one of the Elite, but there is a certain air to him that sets him apart. Unlike most of them, he sees the injustices and seeks to do something about it. Even if it's sending blankets and food and rations on his own dime, he tries. For all it barely makes a dent, the man's heart is in the right place and Seger appreciates it.
Recently, he's come to them about his 'lover', told them as much as he dares and has offered to help their cause if they can guarantee his lover's freedom.

SOLEIL WYNTER
The Executive Producer “Let me give you some advice. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.” Sheet:WIP Why is she here? That's a question that could only be answered by Soleil and she's not talking. Whether she was born in the Domes and saw the devastation and had a change of heart, or she like so many attendants lived first in the Wards before they were taken from their homes. Her official job is an Executive Producer for the Hunt. Her previous occupation as an Attendant is well documented and she used a lot of her contacts to secure the position she has now. AppearanceLight olive skin, raven hair, Soleil is the epitome of beauty. Alluring, almost angelic, she stands out in a room. She is elegant and regal, she tries her best to be as close to a "natural beauty" as she can possibly be. In a society of manufactured opulence, people that appear to have as little work done as possible tend to draw attention. Soleil is no different. PersonalityShe is a complete mystery. And she likes to keep it that way. Her life's motto is simple but speaks to the kind of person she is: "Life's a game of Chess. Not Checkers." Because of her clandestine nature, her motives are probably always called into question. Especially, by people that have been trained to study human behavior or by the naturally intuitive. Which is probably why she doesn't like to spend one-on-one time with people that she would classify as "honest." HistorySoleil's life on paper starts on the day she entered the Academy to become an Attendant. Her records are highly classified and even if one were to have the clearance to get them, they'd receive a heavily redacted copy. Soleil is a ghost. And most would wonder if Soleil Wynter is even her real name. She has no birth records. No life before her work as an Attendant. And even then her life goes dark for a few years before she is made a producer by order of the President, which could make a person wonder how high her ties go. Secrets- “I wasn't always this person.”:
Soleil Wynter is a carefully contrived fiction that has helped her survive all of these years. Who she was before is irrelevant. That person is dead. All that remains now is Soleil. - “We're fragile creatures. It takes less than a pound of pressure to cut skin.”:
In addition to her Attendant Training, Soleil has a very particular set of skills. Skills she has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make her a nightmare to certain people. - “I am a patriot.”:
Although, Soleil's motives are dubious she believes that everything she does is in the best interests of the country. She believes she is acting in the vein of other patriots that have come before her. Relationships with other characters- “He can't make you angry? Please just spend five minutes with him.”:
Dawn's mentor is her Resistance contact. They work in secret. To those that are aware of their ties it's hard to discern whether they hate each other or not. - “When I found him he was a little boy lost in the woods. I'm proud of the young man he's become.”:
Soleil was already out of the Academy when Sawyer entered. But she found him some time after he became what he is now. She took him under her wing as some older Attendants do with younger ones. She admires him and in a way he reminds her of herself; that unwillingness to be victimized by his situation, is very much something they have in common.

CHANCE BREIGHTON
The Youngest Rebel "Fairytales don't tell children that monsters are real. We already know that. No...Fairy-tales tell us that monsters? They can be killed." Sheet:WIP Why he's here.Chance is the younger brother of a Champion, and the younger brother-in-law of another. He's present because otherwise he'd be left home alone, and that never happens. Ever. Because of reasons.
Good reasons. AppearanceEveryone says that Chance looks like his brother Weston. Weston, on the other hand, always says he looks like Sawyer. He certainly has the same soft lines as his missing brother. The same bright blue eyes and the same brownish-blond hair. Th same build, even, being more lithe than Weston is.
Chance prefers to say he looks like himself. PersonalityWhile he isn't as intense as Weston or as softly kind as Sawyer reportedly was, Chance has a certain something that draws people in. The wisdom with with he moves through the world is unprecedented for a boy his age.
There's no fear in Chance. Absolutely none. He doesn't back down from a fight or from a confrontation of any kind. He has a careful fearlessness that frightens his older brother a good deal. If he's noticed, then others have noticed, and all it takes is the wrong member of the Elite deciding that they want to possess that quiet, fearless courage to have his younger brother snatched up and taken. HistoryChance was four when his brother Sawyer was taken by The Elite.
Weston will swear that Chance doesn't remember Sawyer, but Chance does. He remembers that Sawyer was his favorite person in the world. He remembers warm hugs and sweet smiles. He remembers more than Weston seems to think.
He remembers.
He remembers his mother and father, though their faces are fading just like Sawyer's has. Weston has taken care of him his entire life, going so far as to Volunteer for the Hunt when he was seventeen so that Chance would be taken care of. He knows how much Weston sacrificed for him. How he didn't have the freedoms most people his age had. At least, until he brought Aubrey home.
Chance is forever grateful to his brother and his sister-in-law, but Chance isn't as naive as they seem to think. They keep him close. He's never alone, even when he thinks he is because Weston is terrified that someone will steal him the way Sawyer was stolen. Because the Breighton boys are attractive, and everyone who knew Sawyer says that he favors Sawyer, and Sawyer was taken because he was beautiful.
He joined the Resistance and runs messages for them. He doesn't have a lot of friends because Weston is so afraid to let him too far. and so is Aubrey. Even in The Domes--Especially in The Domes--Weston keeps him so close it's almost suffocating.
Still, Weston and Aubrey don't know that he's planning on volunteering for The Hunt when he turns sixteen. With his looks and the fact that his older brother is a Champion, he's almost a shoe-in.
They don't know, and they won't know. Not until it's far too late. Secrets- "I'm doing it. I need to.":
He's been quietly training himself for The Hunt. Studying survival guides that he finds in old bookstores, and learning how to find water in strange places. He's planning on Volunteering soon, because he needs to do something. Anything. He can't stand being suffocated anymore. - "They think I don't know. But I do.":
Behind closed doors, the Buchanans are his brother and sister-in-law's best friends. They think they're fooling everyone, and maybe they are.
But they aren't fooling Chance. Relationships with other characters- "I love my brother. He's just smothering me.":
Weston has raised him from the time he was four years old, and he appreciates it. It would have been easier for Weston to have taken him to one of the Orphan's Homes and left him there, but he didn't. He couldn't. That means something.
Still, he wishes his brother had more faith in him. That his brother would talk to him. That his brother would tell him things and listen to his opinion, because while he's only fourteen, he isn't blind and he isn't stupid. He knows things aren't right. More than that, he knows Weston is willing to tear the world down to fix it. - "She's the closest thing to a Mother I remember. Which scares me. Are all Moms like that?":
Weston is fiercely protective of him, but he comes in second--albeit a very close second--to Aubrey. He heard once that Aubrey clocked her own mother for suggesting that Weston start training him for The Hunt, and knowing Aubrey the way he does? He believes it. - "I don't remember his face, but I remember his warmth. I can't imagine that it's gone.":
He knows that Sawyer was once his favorite person in the world, but he isn't a fool. If Sawyer is alive, he's probably very different from the kind, warm boy that Chance barely remembers. In fact, he's probbly nothing like him, but that doesn't mean he isn't as desperate to find him as Weston is.
Because he wants to know him, and on some level he wants to know why he...fails to measure up. Inventory:

IAN GOODE
The Outlaw "Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree besides the river of truth, and tell the whole world-- --No you move." Sheet:WIP Why he is here.Misdirection.
If he's making the Elite and their plastic-jacks chase him and his cell of rebels around, they aren't paying attention to what Dawn and her husband or Weston and his wife are getting themselves up to. AppearanceIan is a man in his late thirties, with blondish-brown hair and brown eyes. He's sundarkened, with an athletic build that belies his age.
Usually, he's dressed simply and for hard living, seeing as he's an outlaw and can't recall the last time he slept on a real bed. Boots, brown pants with suspenders and his signature dark-brown coat. He's never, ever unarmed. After all, there are a ton of people who want him dead.. PersonalityHe's snarky and stubborn and drives more gentile people utterly insane with his bluntness. There's a certain swagger he has, and his beliefs and values are sacrosanct. While he has no problem with other people having their's--even if they are diametrically opposed to his own--he is extremely protective of his, and will not back down. HistoryTEXT Secrets- "I am a patriot." :
He isn't a rebel. He's a patriot, and he was raised on stories of howh things used to be, and he wants that back. To him, the old world is a utopia, and until someone screwed it up things were decent. Now it's sick and twisted, and it needs to be fixed. - "I'm not going to see the new world. I'm just helping to make it happen." :
Ian could be alright if he weren't an outlaw. As it stands, getting medicine as a rebel is almost too hard to waste on a man who's had a hell of a life. He was a Champion and he led a resistance movement, for The One's sake. He's passed it down to the closest thing to a daughter he has.
The medicine could be used for someone who hasn't had a life yet. Someone young and amazing who definitely needs it more than him. Relationships with other characters- "I'm the past. She's the future."
Dawn's parents died when she was young. Too young to take up the mantle of Rebel Leader. He, on the other hand, wasn't, and when she was forced into the Hunt, he acted as her Mentor. It was almost certain death, and yet she came out on top.
She took over things when she came of age, and he looks out for her from afar. After all, she's the closest thing to family he has. - "He's a good boy. Would like it if he weren't so fancy though.":
He didn't like Augustus Buchanan at first. He was just another Elite boy with too much money and not enough sense. When Dawn started seeing him regularly, he kept an eye on him. On his finances. On his habits, and from watching what the boy did and was, he learned how to not judge a person by their class. - "Those kids are my kinda crazy.":
Weston and Aubrey are crazy, but they're his kind of crazy. Fearless, ruthless, and with very little impulse control, the two of them became Champions in one of the bloodiest Hunts to date. They've taken that intensity and translated it into their own work with the Resistance, and The One help anyone who tries to stop them. - "I'm a thief. She's a whore. You'd think we'd get along better." :
They drive each other crazy, but he and Soliel have a lot of the same goals. They just have very different ways of seeing those goals to fruition, and very stubborn ideas about who is right and wrong.
It could be a case of oil and water, or it could be a case of 'They both protest too much'. Who knows? He certainly doesn't. - "The One help them if that boy gets some camera time. The One help them all. He's a mini-Dawn. With an adorable drawl." :
Chance Breighton is young, idealistic, and holds his own in a way that reminds Ian of Dawn's father, and of Dawn. He's fearless and incorruptible, and for all Weston and Aubrey have tried to shelter him from how horrible the world can be, Chance is having none of it.
If Dawn is the daughter Ian always wanted, Chance Breighton would definitely be the son.
