A cornucopia of traps, trickery and trials await 24 (un)lucky participants in the annual Hunger Games. Who is friend and who is foe? One thing's for certain - the only person you can truly trust is yourself...
The premise of this roleplay will be to take on the role of one of the tributes from districts and enter the brutal arena. Reading through the book has prepared you for the difficult choices to face: from your initial strategy at the cache in the beginning to forming alliances. Game play: We do not start at the Games itself. We have a rich history of the new Panem created by Aeon, Lite, Kulvar, Quinntalon and Cutelikemurder, and others who have played, that can be appreciated by being in the district with the past tributes' and victors and their families. I will ask the writers who have joined when they will like to play in a poll. We have played the Hunger Games #24 - #27th. There are some victors who have survived their Games and contributed to the culture of the Games in Panem. Many have altered the game play completely through showing a great deal of honor to one's enemies - especially from Districts 4, 6 and 7. Some have affected the culture of the Games by creating complex alliances. Some have married one another and adopted one another into families. Victor List will be altered to include the Games before the #40th. District Threads - Pre-Reaping: (Once your bio has been approved stop by and give us an in-character post) District OneDistrict Two District ThreeDistrict FourDistrict FiveDistrict SixDistrict SevenDistrict EightDistrict Nine District TenDistrict ElevenDistrict Twelve To help you choose your districts, these districts have PC mentors: District 4 District 6 District 7 District 9 District 11 District 12 #40th Hunger Games tributes OPENDistrict One Female District One MaleDistrict Two Female District Two Male District Three Female District Three Male District Four female District Four MaleDistrict Five Female District Six Female District Six Male District Seven Male District Seven Female District Eight Male District Nine Female District Ten Male District Eleven Female District Eleven Male District Twelve Female District Twelve MaleTAKEN District Five Male ~ Thomas Merlyn CutelikeMurderDistrict Eight Female ~ Lavenne Underbrook LiteDistrict Nine Male ~ Sawyer Larkin Jr. QuinntalonDistrict Ten Female Shire 'Shy' Swift Destrier KayCitizens Capital, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, D8, D9, D10, D11 and D12 New Aspect to the Game CitizenEvery one may create a citizen. You could create a Capital citizen or a normal citizen in the Districts. I advise reading someone's back story and posting here to the writer, asking to play someone's sibling or friend. You can have interaction and meaningful RP in the District Thread to establish the dynamic. Then you can role play the citizen watching the Games, fundraising for sponsor gifts and continuing what drives them. This Citizen does not ever need to be Reaped, and will not be Reaped, unless you submit them as a tribute in another Sign Up. The application is the same - Age, appearance, history yet they do not need a sheet unless you enter a combat zone. We will create different mods through out the Hunger Games for exploration, rule breaking, rebelling that you can choose to have your citizen participate in. You may stage a peaceful protest. A hunger strike. You may educate a younger child or soothe someone struggling with the reality of the games. No person is an island, and every tribute leaves someone behind. Step One: The Character BuildThe character design will be a Mortal build from World of Darkness. You create the character as normal with a history and personality, but you build your character with a limited number of experience points. Attributes: 5/4/3. Skills: 11/7/4. Merits: 7 Your history needs to justify your skill points and merits. You start with seven free merit points and the standard spread for a mortal in World of Darkness for your skills. All detailed on the sheet at sheetdalines as well. If you have the WOD Core book; you will use that. If you don't know WOD system, post your questions here or PM me for how to build your character. Don't be shy about asking questions here or PMing me. We will use a full mortal build with Merits. I use the pages Merits, Univeral (1st / 2nd Edition) I would accept these merits for any ones sheets. Some are for specific WOD things, like Vampires, or Werewolves, that won't apply to us. Yet feel free to take anything that fits your character. Feel free to take unusual ones, as well, to make your character well rounded. Site for reference listing Merits: wodcodex.com/wiki/Category:Merits Scroll down a bit and you come to the category Movement Styles. There is Parkour and Spelunking. You can also look in Universal wodcodex.com/wiki/Merits,_Universal Tips: I advise registering for a site that offers the free creation and storage of your character sheet: sheetgen.dalines.net/wiki/WikiStartSelect World of Darkness It will show you a sheet to fill out and save. In this rpg, we will have NWOD sheets so that you *know* whose the strongest, fastest and most intelligent. If you've never done sheets before, don't let it discourage you. We have a work shop where writers and I can help you out. You have plenty of time to get every thing right before the next Hunger Games. District Thread have been created and are open for play - pop your approved character into their district and start making friends or wrecking havoc. Timeline is one week before the Games.
The training center will last at least two weeks in real time as characters are finalized. There will be one compulsory exercise and the rest is what your character decides to do. You earn 1 free skill point for completing courses. You write in one central thread so that you can see the stations that the others attend, but I respond to your character as the Trainer. You can attend stations featured in the book and some that we have added, like rock climbing and swimming, so that no one starts with a disadvantage. If your character is a strong climber, an excellent cook and has nimble fingers, you can choose to show your strengths attending rock climbing, Edible Plants and dexterity classes. Or you can attend classes where your character is weak to learn new skills. You must write at least 5 sentences per post and write that your character completes exercises proposed by the trainer to earn your free skill point.
There will be a Mentor thread to meet with your mentor(s) & district partner. There will also be Lunch to meet with rivals and potential alliance members. You move between training, mentor and lunch at your own pace, leaving one thread and entering the other.
Fighting Fighting will be done by the WOD style where you make a roll and must accept its outcomes to judge how well your character did.
Health The stamina attribute and the size rating will affect your hit points. Health = Size + Stamina X 2
Healing
As the anthem plays, half of your damage will heal every night. Successful medicine rolls and use of med kits will heal you. To join
Appearance: Height, Hair color, Eye color, Size. Any thing one can see by glancing at your character. Example:
Kinsey stands at 5'8''. She has dark brown hair that is long and tied into a bun at the nape of her neck. She has fair skin and prone to freckles that fleck her face and shoulders. She is of average build, neither particularly pretty nor strong. She has chocolate brown eyes. She favors looser, earth colored clothing.
History: Please write at least three paragraphs describing your character. This is a good way to introduce how your district has influenced your character. Details on districts are here: thehungergames.wikia.com/wiki/District You can also discuss your character's family, friends and talk about what they are skilled at and what they dislike.
Tributes can buy tessarae for each member of their family after their 12th birthday. Buying tessarae is grain for a family member; but adds your name to the entry for Hunger Games with his tessarae.
Submit this form to this thread. If you have any questions, post here. I would like to thank AeonthePhoenix, Cutelikemurder, Kulvar, Lite and QuinnTalon (and others) for creating a living, breathing world of Panem. All of your characters are welcome back. I am extremely grateful for all of your hard work and dedication. * Copy and pasted, contact me or post here if I made mistakes

SAWYER LARKIN JR.
The Not-Colton Colton District 9's Male Tribute Age: 14 “Family is not an important thing. It's everything.” Sheet:Here! Why he's in The Hunger Games.Sawyer will be Reaped for the 40th Annual Hunger Games. AppearanceSawyer is all awkward and lanky lines, not having grown into his hands and feet or his arms and legs yet. Honey-Brown hair, dark-brown eyes, and angular features mark him as definitely his father's son and the quintessential Larkin.
It's his beauty, however, that reveals who his mother is. PersonalitySawyer is the eldest son, and that brings with it a great deal of responsibility in District 9 (unless you're his Uncle Kal, who dropped everything and left the District on the tailend of his brothers' and sister's fame). So he's serious, and takes responsibility for everyone and everything that happens. It's just the way he's been raised, as he'll one day be the patriarch of the Larkin family.
But there are moments, where the smile breaks through and he can joke and laugh with the best of them. At his core, he's a serious person with the weight of generations on his shoulders.
Under all of that is a bit of a goofball waiting for his opportunity to shine. HistorySawyer Larkin Jr. Was born in District 9, the winter after his Uncle Jacob "Jace" Colton came home a Victor, and before his Uncle Janus "Jan" Colton did.
He's the eldest son of Sawyer Larkin and Allison "Ally" Larkin (formerly Ally Colton, the eldest daughter of the legendary Colton Clan), and as such grew up with Hunger Games Royalty surrounding him at all times. If one were to ask anyone who his temperament is most like, they'd have to say 'Jace', who has a reputation for calm, and who has the ability to see any ray of sunlight through a dark and stormy day.
Not that anyone cares, but his temperament is actually a great deal like his father's. He adores the man, and while his brothers and sisters (all 9 of them) spent too much time in the Victors' Village living glory and gore vicariously through their Aunt and Uncles, Sawyer was content to sit at his father's knee and learn what it was to be a District 9 man. One untouched by The Hunger Games and the Capitol and everything that came with it. One who grew wheat and made beer. Who sang and joked and led his family with a firmly loving hand.
And he adored his mother, for as kind and simple a woman as she was. A woman who loved her man. A man who loved his woman. Who even after fifteen years and ten kids, his father believed his mother was still the most beautiful woman in the world. That's what he wanted out of life. Simple. Clean. Perfect.
To say he's close to his parents is an understatement, so it will likely come as no surprise how hard his being Reaped will hit the family. Secrets- "Sometimes, I wonder if I can still have the life I want, if I...don't exactly want a person like Ma.":
Sawyer adores his mother. He adores his father. He loves everything about his life on the wheat farm, and wants nothing more to inherit it from them once it's time for his father to step away from the fields.
He wants a life. A family. He wants to die with the generations he borne around him, but....
...Can he have all of that if..he doesn't exactly like girls? Relationships with other characters- Jacob Colton; Co-Victor of the Quarter Quell:
Uncle Jace has had a hard time of things. At least, that's what everyone says. Sawyer wasn't even born when he was Reaped and won, but after watching footage of the Quarter Quell one thing is for certain: He definitely didn't come out of it whole.
He's also calm, and when his Pa sends him over to Uncle Jace's house to spend time with his cousins or to help his Uncle out with some of the things he can't do anymore (his leg was pretty messed up and he still has to walk with a cane), Sawyer has found that he actually likes his uncle. Quite a bit. Then again, when Uncle Jace won the Quarter Quell and was well enough, he'd gone right back to his family's Barley Fields for the harvest.
There's strength in that. Even if he has to go to the Capitol randomly, or spend so much time in other Districts, there's definitely strength in that. - Janus Colton; Co-Victor of the 26th Annual Hunger Games:
Uncle Jan is...weird.
Sawyer has never quite known what to make of him, and while Sawyer's brothers and sisters all adore him, Sawyer would rather just...stick to Uncle Jace. Uncle Jan is just too much to take in. - Maxine Colton-Noland; Co-Victor of the 28th Annual Hunger Games:
He hasn't spent a lot of time around his Aunt Max, but when he's had the opportunity to do so, he's found her to be a great deal of fun. She's rough and tumble, and adores her nieces and nephews so much that she spoils them rotten. But he gets why she doesn't spend a lot of time in District 9.
In a culture that prides itself on it's large families, Aunt Max's inability to have babies is a source of shame. Which is really stupid, if one were to ask Sawyer.
Because she's a wonderful person. - Samuel Colton; The New Mayor of District 9:
There's no one quite like Uncle Sammy.
He's younger than the others, and some might say that he's not as eye-catching or engaging as the others. Sammy, though, managed to fiagle his way into being the Mayor of District 9--the youngest Mayor in Panem's History--and the first indication of the New Guard.
Sawyer thinks he's inspiring. Especially with how he deals with Peacekeepers and Capitol Officials. - Ma (Allison "Ally" Colton-Larkin):
Ma is...the best.
She knows him better than anyone. Even Pa, really. She knows that he takes his life seriously, and his responsibility even more-so, and tries to ease his unspoken burden as best she can. She even seems to read him as well as Uncle Jace and Aunt Rory sometimes can, and that's really scary.
Ma is his rock, and she'll be hit the hardest when he's Reaped. - Pa (Sawyer Larkin Sr.):
He's the best person Sawyer knows. Without a doubt.
Pa is the epitome of everything Sawyer wants himself to be. He's strong, and quiet, and smart. He loves his wife and his children fiercely and without apology. It's why it's so hard, because he wants to be like his father someday.
He just isn't sure he'll measure up.

THOMAS TESLA MERLYN
The Friendly Neighborhood Scavenger District 5's Male Tribute Age: 16 “I should have stayed in bed today.” Sheet:Here! Why he's in The Hunger Games.Thomas will be Reaped for the 40th Annual Hunger Games. AppearanceThomas is all limbs. He's lithe, thin. He's got thick but short, wavy dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Pale but sun-kissed skin from years out in dry arid climate. He's someone you would notice in a crowd. He doesn't stand out.
Personality Tommy is a serious kid with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He doesn't speak much and when he does it lacks tact. He isn't a cruel person but he has a cool pragmatism to him that is out of place with one so young. But life is different in District 5. And he is truly a native of his district. HistoryTommy Merlyn Was born in District 5, the year before the Quarter Quell. His parents died young. He barely remembers them. That's when he was taken in by his Aunt Vercua who was childless. She raised him as her own.
But just because it was the two of them it didn't mean there were nights were they both went hungry. And that's when he started tp learn how to scavenge. He started within D5, but he heard the real money was made outside the district walls in the ruins of Old Vegas. And so Tommy did what he had to. He risked death to go outside the fence.
Tommy doesn't talk about what he sees out there or what he has to do. Even his Aunt V doesn't ask. They both pretend he doesn't go out. They both know that they're pretending. Secrets- "Yeah, I've been to Old Vegas. All I found was blood and sand.":
There are people out there in the ruins. If you can call them people anymore. People think Reavers are an old wives tale. But Tommy has seen them. Most Scavies haven't. But most Scavies don't go where Tommy goes.
- "Aunt V doesn't talk about my folks. I dunno why. Never thought to ask.":
His father, Tesla and mother, Marie were recruited by the Resistance about 2 years after the Quarter Quell. They were killed a year later. But there are those in the Resistance that are familiar with the last name Merlyn. Relationships with other characters- Veruca Merlyn:
Tommy's father, Tesla's younger sister who takes care of Tommy now that Tess is gone. Vercua is a stoic woman who works at the dam near the main power plant. She doesn't make waves like Tesla did. She isn't a fan of the Capitol. But she's also not running to join the Resistance. She was born after the Dark Days however, she isn't looking for a repeat. And has imparted or tried to impart hat same code to Tommy.

Hi can I nab District 8 Female, please? LAVENNE ‘ave’ UNDERBROOK
The Girl Your Mother Warned You About District 8's Female Tribute Age: 17 “If I win this thing, I’m changing my name to On-Top-Of-Brook.” Sheet:Here! Why she's in The Hunger Games.Lavenne will be Reaped for the 40th Annual Hunger Games. AppearanceThe first thing people notice about Ave is that she’s tall, at 5’11 she stands over most kids her age and she doesn’t seem to be showing signs of stopping. Years of malnourishment have left her skinny, but there is evidence of at least a small amount of exercise in the muscles of her arms and legs. Her preferred hairstyle is a ponytail, but she’ll rock anything that keeps the hair out of her way.
PersonalityA lot of people mistake Ave’s unwavering confidence for cockiness. Years of building up a thick skin have taught Ave that she can say what she wants, when she wants, so long as she can back her opinion up and she’s not going out of her way to be spiteful to others. Her strong beliefs have gotten her in trouble with Peacekeepers and fellow District 8 inhabitants alike, but it she’s the last person to sit down and shut up in the face of adversity, bigotry and inequality alike. HistoryTwo years before the Quarter Quell, Yara Underbrook took her newborn Lavenne to her mother Posella’s house and begged her to take in her daughter. Yara’s debts were so high that she would be paying them off for years to come, and that was no life she wished to place on her daughter. Unable to help her in any other way, Posella took Lavenne in.
While Yara died to an illness four months later, Lavenne thrived under the care of her grandmother. Posella taught her valuable life lessons from an early age: not to care when the other children called her names, to work hard at school and to never let anybody make her feel less than she was.
Lavenne spent much of her teenage life with an underground group of rebels in District 8 whose acts of rebellion were constantly throwing the Peacekeepers and Capitol officials into disarray. She’s managed to avoid being caught, but she’s sure that one of the Peacekeepers has been following her and it’s only a matter of time before they find a way to punish her. Secrets- “I wanna scream it in the middle of the Square, but I kind of like my head attached to my neck you know?”:
One of the biggest scandals in the recent history of District 8 was the vandalism which shut down fabrication of the Peacekeeper uniforms for three days. Not only were the materials and tools destroyed, but one of the vandals urinated in the exclusive lounge where new designs and meetings are held. That one vandal was Lavenne herself, and she’s extremely proud of that one.
- “My life may have started here but I’ll be damned if it ends here.”:
Ave has dreamed of getting out of District 8 ever since her grandmother passed on two months ago. While she was left a house and could live out the rest of her life with relative ease, assuming she worked for its entirety, she has no intention of staying in District 8 for much longer. Relationships with other characters- Maysha Tate:
The only daughter of the Mayor of District 8. Her relationship with Lavenne is a rather large scandal marring the name of her political father, or at least that’s what he thinks. Most of the people have bigger things to worry about than the mayor’s lesbian daughter. Maysha doesn’t know about Ave’s involvement in the mini-revolution within the District but she’s not stupid, she can tell something’s going on.

Thomas Merlin / Merlyn? looks fantastic, Nick. I like the combination of skills and merits that you chose. I am very excited about Lavenne / Ave. She sounds like she has a very unique perspective. I also have a soft spot for fellow tall girls I can link a list of WOD Merits tomorrow for you to choose for Lavenne. 7 points are free. Welcome to the Game! Its good to see you, Kay. Take your time looking over the Hunger Games. We have plenty of time.

New Aspect to the Game Citizen
Every one may create a citizen.

SHIRE “SHY” SWIFT DESTRIERThe Animal GirlDistrict 10's Female TributeAge: 17 “The only thing I am happy about is that it's not you.” Sheet: HereWhy she's in The Hunger Games.She will be Reaped for the 40th Annual Hunger Games. AppearanceShy is a small girl. She stands just over 5 feet weighing in at about 115 lbs. Most of her weight is from years of horseback riding and herding cattle throughout her family’s large landmass. She favors earthier colors and more comfortable clothing, though her clothing tends to always have some sort of dust, or mud caked onto it. Generally, she wears her hair in a ponytail, with a large cowboy hat to keep the sun from her face. PersonalityShy is a calm, introverted young woman. She’s very hardworking and often thinks before speaking. She has a strong sense of right and wrong. Shy has always been one to value life, always caring for the sick and injured animals in the herds she has taken care of, despite others telling her to put the animals out of their misery. Shy always had an aptitude for taking care of animals, and interacting with them. She’s always been determined and rarely gets distracted from her goals and missions. Many in the district have called her a ‘little adult’ since she was a young child. HistoryShy was the illegitimate daughter of Shylock Destrier, a large cattle rancher in District 10. Her mother, Colleen Yearling was a sheepherder/dog breeder. Shylock was always known for cheating on his sweet-natured wife, Delilah. Shy was better off then most in her district, Shylock was on the wealthier side (for the district) and her mother owned her own business. Starvation was not something she was familiar with. Colleen was caught up in a unpeaceful protest, and was killed by a peacekeeper when Shy was 8. Shy was sent to live with her father, in his big fancy house, with his beautiful wife and their beautiful children. Behind closed doors, Shy would come to learn how un-picturesque the homelife actually was. Her stepmother was one of the kindest people she had ever met. It was her father that turned out to be the monster. The man was mean, verbally and physically abusive and highly volatile. He abused his children and his wife. Shy was no exception, in fact, he began to take his anger out on her more than on his other kids. She learned to take a beating from a young age, and to get up. Her siblings and her stepmother often tried to protect her, but they were afraid of her father, too. Her siblings and stepmother often took her with them when they left the house to herd up the horses, and cattle. Shy found she was exceptionally skilled with driving the horses and cattle. Her stepmother even gave her a dog for her 15th birthday. Shy would begin to even drive some of the herds by herself, or with another sibling. Secrets “Oh brother, where art thou?”Her brother disappeared on a drive. Shy and the rest of her family (besides her father) don’t think he’s really dead. She suspects some of the suspected people roaming around the outlands have him. “Outlanders…”Outlanders, are the name she and other drivers call them. They are beings that live outside the any of the districts. Shy has heard about them attacking Drivers in the middle of the night. She’s been told she’s forbidden about talking about Outlanders, so she doesn’t. Relationships with other charactersHey There Delilah{Spoiler:}
Shy’s stepmother, well, second mother. The woman acts like a bit of an idiot but she is the brains and brawn behind the Destrier clan. She loves all her children and even her husband’s illegitimate ones. She hates her husband, but suspect his days are numbered. At least, she hopes so. Shylock Destrier; The King of Cattle{Spoiler:} Shy’s an abusive jerk. He’s going to captalize on his daughter’s reaping. And he’s probably going to get killed by someone at some point. Shawn Destrier: The Deserter {Spoiler:}
Shawn disappeared about two years ago during a drive. He was the unofficial protector of the family. Once he got big enough he began throwing punches back at his father. Shy was very close with Shawn. His disappearance made her wonder what truly lies beyond the district borders. Mostly, because he told many, many stories about “Outlanders”. Shane Destrier {Spoiler:}
Shane is considered fairly unremarkable. He is quite anti-capitol. Shane and Shy get along, sometimes. Most of the time, Shy doesn’t want to get into it with him, because he tends to get hot-headed and irrational. He’s going to cause a problem once his sister is reaped. Shadow Destrier: The Brawler {Spoiler:}
Shadow and Shawn were the closest of the bunch. Since his older brother’s disappearance he has taken on the status as family protector. Shy and Shadow were quite close. Shy looked up to him for his strength. She always tried to help him protect their mom from their dead. Sheldon Destrier: The Clown{Spoiler:}
Shelly is the family clown. He’s good at driving cattle, but he’d rather ride backwards in his saddle and make others laugh. Sharon Destrier: The Wannabe Gunslinger {Spoiler:} Sharon is great with a lasso and even better with a gun, if she was allowed to have one, that is. She and Shy started out with a bit of animosity when they were younger. But they grew extremely close. She is going to be hit very hard when Shy is reaped. Shae Destrier: The Baby Destrier {Spoiler:} Shae is the baby of the Destrier family. Shy is very protective over her younger sister. Shy was in the process of teaching Shae how to train dogs to herd when she will be reaped. The Boy with No Name {Spoiler:}
This is a boy she met on a drive. Shy was instantly into him, but she hasn’t been able to find or see him in her district since meeting him. It was love at first sight on her part, but she has no idea who he is or where he’s from. She believes that he is from one of the other districts. [/div]

Adler Grayling
The Rebel Lumberjack Age: 31 “I'm not the husband. And I don't like the term boyfriend. I prefer crusading, peacekeeper killing, long term booty call. Just saying.” Sheet:Here! AppearanceAlder is a tall, bulky, muscular man. His hair is curly if he lets it grow out. However he keeps it short enough that the curls aren't unruly. He's got strawberry blond hair and green eyes. He is attractive in a lumberjack rebel sort of way.
PersonalityHere's the thing about Adler: you can always trust Adler to be himself. He is brash, tactless, prone to jealousy (especially in his young) and he has a quick temper. But underneath that jerk exterior is a broody man with a heart of gold. He acts out because he's afraid or angry. And doesn't have much in the way of forethought. He's the chimp that presses the pleasure button instead of the food button until he starves to death. He is a walled up person, due to his fear of loss and rejection. He's a conflicted person who often struggles between what's right and what's wrong. When he tries to play aloof and broody it comes of as impetuous and angsty. And he's at his best when he doesn't take himself too seriously. But asking a Grayling not to be too serious is like asking the Sun not to sun. He cares deeply for loved ones but he has a hard time showing it. HistoryAdler is the eldest surviving son of Marisse and Reed Grayling. He was the eldest born to a set of twins. Older than his twin by three minutes. Younger than his eldest brother Felix, by a year. Three children was a big family by D7 standards so it was a surprise when his brother Markus was born. Mark was always sickly kid. So when he got sick for the last time, Adler didn't think he'd never get up from that bed again. Mark's death was hard on everyone. But Felix took it the hardest. As the eldest he was supposed to protect them. But he didn't. And even though he didn't need to, Felix took out tesserae for them so none of them would lose another brother.
Only they did. Felix was reaped in the 26th Hunger Games and although there were two Victors that year, none of them had been Felix. And their family was never the same since. Adler went to Aurora and pleaded that she train him so he could go into the 27th games. But she refused and even ratted him out to keep him from volunteering and missed his shot as revenge. And if had won, he could have helped Skye win when she was reaped the following year. Lucky for everyone involved she made it back. And they started a life together. Still, Adler hates what they make her do in the Capitol. He hates there isn't anything he can do about it.
At the age of 31, Adler is unmarried and living with Skye Hawkins, the Co Victor of the 28th games. They have no children and are perfectly ok with that as they both have nieces and nephews they can spoil and dote on while not being too emotionally invested. Because after all, the Hunger Games will never go away. Secrets- “If I could I was scotch the earth and piss on the ashes.”:
To say that Alder is angry, is an understatement. He wants to bring down the Capitol. But he's just one man. And his person, Skye, he knows she wants nothing to do with this war.
- “I hate them. Jan, for taking my brother from me. Aurora, for allowing it to happen.”:
Adler knows now not to speak out against Janus Colton. Especially now that his kid sister is married to Felix's exboyfriend. But he hates Jan. And hates Aurora even more for not doing her job.
- “She won't tell me what goes on. But I know.”:
It kills him every time Skye just on the train to the Capitol. Because he knows, or at least he has a good idea about what she does while she's there. And while Skye has offered to take him with her to the Capitol, Adler knows that if he goes there and Skye has to do what... that, he'll lose it and as a result he may lose her too. He won't risk that. Relationships with other characters- Reed Grayling:
Adler's father. Reed is the life the of the part. He always had been. And although there are days where he is reminded of how much he lost, Reed doesn't let the Capitol rob him of his smile. He tries to enjoy life to it's fullest. He works hard and plays just as hard. Reed and Alder have a favorable relationship, though he can't stop dropping hints about not having enough grandchildren - Marisse Grayling:
Marisse is where the Grayling boys get their broody stoicism. There is no one scarier in the Grayling Clan than their matriarch. She took Mark's death hard. And Felix's harder. Unlike her husband, she rarely can bring herself to smile on a good day. On a bad day, one can see the family resemblance between her and Adler. Marisse and Adler are closer than Adler and his father. And it's mostly because Marisse gets it. And she doesn't push him to be something he's not. - Birch Grayling:
Adler's twin brother. Birch is the good twin. He did everything right. He married a nice girl and started a family. Birch doesn't make waves. He doesn't he's duty and keeps his family safe. - Iris Grayling:
Birch's wife. Adler likes her more than Birch's ex, Aurora. But it's not like that's hard to do. Iris hasn't gotten her brother kill, so they're ok. He likes Iris and thinks she's a good match for Aurora. - Felix Grayling:
Adler's older brother. Felix was reaped in the 26th Hunger Games and made to the final four before he was killed by Jan Colton from District Nine. Alder like with most of his siblings wasn't close to Felix. But Felix's death changed him. It made him meaner, more ruthless. - Markus Grayling:
Adler's youngest brother who died when he was young. They weren't close but it hurt when he died. - The District Seven Victors:
Adler hates just about each and everyone one of these guys. He doesn't go out of his way... anymore to give them a hard time, especially considering he's living with one of them. But he won't go out of his way to make them feel welcomed around him. - Skye Hawkins:
It wasn't love at first sight for these two. Adler was a buttface and honestly Skye wasn't any better. She was his first kiss. When they were little. She always was the first person to hit him in the face. Which was just after that first kiss which Skye made the first move. After the 25 games, they trained together. Just in case, they'd always say. But Felix and Rayne's death changed them both. And their training got intense. And that intensity lead to... well... you know. After the games was over and he got to hold her in his arms again, the first thing he did was propose, and she punched him in the arm, so he hasn't asked since.

Junius Lucian Laurentius
The Non-Conformist Sponsor Age: 33 “Since mankind's dawn, a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. We've seen where their way leads, through camps and wars, towards the slaughterhouse.” Sheet:Here! AppearanceLike most in the Capitol, Junius--June for short--is well-fed and well dressed. Unlike most in the Capitol, he keeps his eyes their exotic and brilliant green, and his skin it's lovely somewhat tan. He isn't a fan of the skin-dying or the eye-coloring that a lot of those his own age do, preferring to spend his time in other pursuits.
His wardrobe is usually--by Capitol Standards--extremely subdued. He's been known to dye his hair and perhaps keep to the 'latest fashions', but always in his own subdued, way.
Otherwise, he's pleasing to look at and works to keep himself that way.
PersonalityAt first, he comes off as every other 'Capitol' citizen. Shallow. Flaky. A bit spoiled...
Junius has his own penthouse in the most exclusive part of the Capitol with his own stylists and his own servants, all on his payroll. That said, it is close to where his father resides, and the man has no issue 'dropping in' on a whim. As such, Junius is always polished and perfect--or on his way to being so--as his father will be seen as nothing less than that.
The 'shallow and flaky'? That is only an act. Unlike most of his contemporaries, Junius pays attention. He reads--he can't get enough of it--and is a bit too curious for his own good.
He is a sponsor, and over the past few years has managed to become a bit known as the guy who bets on the Careers to win it, but sponsors 'Dark Horses'. A lot of those he actively sponsors seem eclectic. He doesn't have a 'favorite district' like many do, and seems to choose Dark-Horses and will on a whim send a Tribute water or food or medicine.
Though, he does seem to have a soft-spot for District Ten.
HistoryJunius wasn't a 'wanted' child. In fact, he knows that he was the product of...not exactly a good relationship between his mother and his father. A relationship which lasted a grand total of one full week while his father was working in District Ten.
The first three years of his life, he knows he lived in the District. That his father didn't even know he existed, and that if he did of course he would have come to retrieve him sooner. When his mother married, he was put in a Capitol Orphans' Home, but wasn't there for very long before he was spirited away and taken away from everything he knew and into the bright, warm wealth of The Capitol.
Early in life, he took a keen interest in stories. In people. He asked questions--sometimes questions that were 'inappropriate'--and wanted nothing more in life than to know everything. While his contemporaries--what he calls the people his own age and who he was raised with--were keeping up with the latest fashions and purging themselves stupid so they could keep glutting themselvse, Junius was spending copious amounts of money on books and vids and other things to educate himself. He knows the customs of various districts. He's fascinated with the spartan culture of District Two and the warrior culture of District Four. He has even gone so far as to learn the slang of more than a few of the districts, and speaks a few words of the District Four tongue.
His speech and his accent, while very 'Elite'-Capitol, is tinged with that rustic touch of District Ten, and the way some of the colloquialisms of that place will roll off his tongue are effortlessly--much to his father's chagrin.
And then there's his 'collection'.
A lot of people in the Capitol collect 'Hunger Games Memorabilia', but it is mostly weapons and armor from their favorite Victors, and indeed, those things fetch the best prices. Junius, however, buys the 'odd' things. While he does have Aurora Noland's axes, he also has the dragonfly pendant that Jace Colton wore on his jacket. Things that no one else seemed to really bid on, Junius hordes and he oddly doesn't display them.
He's gotten a reputation for being a bit odd. He doesn't partake of the 'Purgings' at parties, and in fact only stays at those long enough to be seen. In his own home, any 'extra' food is packed up and to his knowledge sent to those he knows are in need. His stylists have gotten used to 'reusing' fabrics and jewelry from his clothing because he refuses to wear something less than three or four times.
In front of the camera, he is the 'President's Right-Hand's' Perfect Son, with the perfect relationship with his doting and adoring father.
In reality, things aren't exactly as wonderful.
Secrets- “My name is Lucas.”:
Junius Laurentius has no brothers and sisters. At least, that's the running narrative. In reality, half of his DNA comes from a woman in District 10. And he knows..he has three siblings.
It used to be four.
- “They named their first-born 'Lucas Jacob...'. As flattered as I am, it's dangerous.”:
Those four kids Aurora Noland and Jace Colton have? Those kids aren't Jace's. They're his. It's a huge secret that if it got out could get Aurora killed--perhaps Jace as well--but not having any children would have been worse for the two of them.
And he loves her. More than a little. Relationships with other characters- Jacob 'Jace' Colton:
Jace was his first 'Dark Horse'.
He was old enough to be a sponsor then, and for some reason Jacob Colton from District 9 was his pick to sponsor, even if he put money on the District 4 Tributes to win. When his instincts were proven correct and The Natural Alliance won the day, he was shocked when the new Victor approached him and thanked him for the med-packs and other things that money had bought.
Later, Jace approached him about his wife, Junius' feelings for her, and a problem they had. A big problem, and Junius couldn't say 'No' to them. He just couldn't. - Aurora Noland:
The love he has for Aurora is his most closely guarded secret. He will do whatever he can to protect it, and her....
...And their children. - Vitus Lucian Laurentius:
His father.
Who he can not allow to find out about those children. He can not. What the man will do, Junius has no idea, but those kids do not deserve a life like his. They deserve a childhood with a mother and father who adore them. Not a gilded cage. - The Norths of District 10:
His brothers and sister.
His mother.
He tried. He tried to save Hadley too. It tears him up, that his youngest brother died in the 35th Games. It tears him to shreds, and he wasn't allowed to grieve. Not publicly. Not privately.
He didn't even truly know Hadley, and yet...
Facing Peyton and Billie every year is the hardest thing he does, but he does it, and if he has any say in the matter the Hunger Games will be a thing of the past if only to protect their children, and their childrens' children.

Hi Kay, your character does have an extra attribute point. Now in the past, people could earn extra attribute points by attending more in depth training center station. Are you alright with doing that or would you like to scale down on 5/4/3? I thought approving and having you do the station would be great, if you don't mind it. I will look over the new posts tomorrow.

JD Caldwell
The Friendly Neighborhood Scavenger District 12's Female Tribute Age: 16 “Broken things are better alone.” Sheet:Coming Soon! Why she’s in The Hunger Games. JD Caldwell will be Reaped for the 40th Annual Hunger Games.
AppearanceAverage. That is how one would describe JD. Pale, 5’5 feet tall, thick blonde curly hair to her shoulders and green eyes didn’t make her special in the merchant area, yet there was one thing that stood out when you would take a closer look at her. A large birthmark covered about 75% of her skin between her left shoulder and hand, many would not see the thing that made this girl unique since she preferred to hide it at all times to prevent any casualties.
Personality It was not easy to compete others at the Hob, luckily for JD, she was quick. She knows how to make a deal right then and there, no hesitation or nothing. There was no time (or money) to spare the poor or the weak, business is business and everyone around her knew that there was no messing around with the young woman. She was not one to be violent to another, but would make sure to manipulate the ones that decided to test her. JD was direct and ready to get what she wants at all costs, even if that meant manipulating a friend.
HistoryAt a young age JD was acknowledged for her small, nimble and quick hands. She was perfect for business according to her father and learned how to make jewelry from the age of four. Together with her two older siblings, James & Jacintha, and younger siblings, Jedidiah & Justina, she learned the way of life the hard way. Her official name being Joel Dominicus (her mother wished for her to be a boy) already proofed that, which is why her father and siblings were the only ones that knew of it. There was no crying when you poked yourself with a needle, you did not beg for a break and you certainly did not ever ask for food. Living in the merchant area instead of the Seam was supposed to be a blessing for this family, but maybe they weren’t just as lucky.
As time flew by James and JD were the last two standing with their siblings and father passing from illness and starvation, and their mother at childbirth, but with them all gone and James not being around to take care of his sister, JD learned how to stand on her own two feet from the age of 10.
She built business of her own at the Hob. She made all the jewelry, sold and traded them herself because if there was one thing her father taught her was that she could not trust a soul, not ever. Though she managed to make a living herself it did not go easily, but somehow got herself through it. Secrets - "I want to be what they wanted me to be":
Her parents had hoped and prayed for another son, they got JD, but they are not the only ones that had hoped she had born male, no, she wished it too. She hates every bone in her body for desiring that terribly, not to get permission, but to be finally free.
- "Don’t try too hard to be something you’re not":
It’s easy to act tough and be smart, but JD wants a family. Someone to hug, to love, who would be there right beside her to fight the impossible fight. She doesn’t want to be alone anymore. Relationships with other characters- James Caldwell (JD’s older brother):
JD’s older brother is barely around. He comes home once in a two weeks. JD’s suspects that he has fallen in love with a woman at the Seam since he has found a new home there, but did not bother to drag his sister with him for money reasons.
- Blake Dolores:
Blake the only person JD would consider to be her friend. He is her age and lives in the house next door where he and his family work on business similar to JD’s but instead of jewelry they work on clothing.

Hello, thank you for your submissions. We have enough characters to start our game. If your character sheet is not yet defined, do not worry. If you are set on your character concept, the sheets can be finalized at the Training Center and you can still write at the Reaping, Train and training center. Please prepare to be starting as the moderators and I prepare the Game.

Hello, I would like for our Reaping to begin soon. I am thinking this upcoming week end. We will likely have a slower start to allow every one to get in character and iron out character sheets during the Training center.
