Hunger Games Guide

If you have any questions, post them here. If you have a question, someone else is probably wondering the same thing and is too shy to ask.
The Games:
The bare bones of the Games is that two tributes from each of the 12 districts, ages 12 - 18, are chosen to enter the Hunger Games arena.
Watching the games is not optional in the districts. It is a requirement that every district citizen watch the Hunger Games - from the announcers opinions, to interviews with the tributes right to when the tributes enter the arena. The tributes are implanted with a tracker that allows a camera to center on them periodically.
During interesting events such as battles, mutt attacks or other terrors, the tributes have to contend with the fact that thier loved ones are watching at home. The final tributes' families are also interviewed on live television and included in the game broadcasts.
Mentor:
Each tribute is under the guardianship of its' former Hunger Game Victor. The previous victor studies his two tributes skills and weaknesses and offers them advice on how to earn a good score. He or she also will advise them how to survive the Cornucupia and other challenges the tributes will face.
In addition to preparing the tributes, the Mentor's job is to line up sponsors for the tributes of his or her district. The Mentor will be insistant that the tributes attempt to earn a good score as this will ensure more money flowing in. He also will want his tribute to prepare a good 'angle' for why they should survive or at least be interesting enough to be featured on television often; earning more opportunites for sponsors.
The mentor then must budget the sponsorship money carefully to be able to send parachutes of needed items to his tributes. Items are cheap in the beginning of the game; yet become increasingly more exspensive as the death toll of other tributes rise. The mentor will budget to be able to send medicine to a tribute with blood poison, food to a starving tribute or a blanket if freezing becomes a real threat.
It is a double edged blade, however, as he must divide his money between two tributes. Battling for a mentor's favor in the weeks leading up to the games is often a good strategy for a tribute.
Tribute's also may look upwards towards an unseen camera and demand certain things they need for survival.
Enemies:
Mutts or Mutations: The Capital genetically enhances and engineers creatures called 'mutts'. They are ferocious and terrifying, engineered to hunt down the tributes as they are released into the arena.
