This is a list of mutations that you might encounter in the Arena. Feel free to make suggestions for the mutts you may encounter in the next arena.
Piranha
These fish have been engineered to be more vicious than the 'timid' piranha that used to live in Panem.
Location: They swim in the shallow stream surrounding Cornucopia.

Caidragon
This was once a Caiman animal that had been crossed with a Komodo Dragon. In addition to retaining its swimming and hunting abilities; it now has a bacteria ridden mouth. It tends to deliver a bite and wait for infection to settle in; following its prey at a distance to feast on the kill when the tribute dies from the toxin in 1-2 days.

Scorpius
The gigantic Pulmonoscorpius from the early Carboniferous period (pre Panem) reached a length of up to 70 cm (28 in). upon finding the remains of this creature; the GameMakers bred it to reach the possible length of 25 inches. Instead of the darker color here; it was genetically changed to be a sand - color; better to catch tributes unawares.
It delivers a toxin with its stinger that paralyzes the affected area within an hour. If untreated for 6 hours; it can lead to death.

Macaw Parrot
These brightly colored birds run the gamut between blue, green and red. They have been genetically crossed with the African grey parrot This has made their beak conform to the shape of an African grey parrot; enabling them to learn English and communicate. They are not aggressive; but tend to flit between tributes; repeating bits of conversation. You don't want a bird to carry your plans to that alliance member you're planning to cut out, do you?

Bear Cat
The once instinct Bear Cat has been cloned by the Gamemakers; who kept the Bear Cat's tendency to be nocturnal and sleep in trees. It is aggressive in defending its territory and will attack those who move under or into its cluster of 2-5 trees.

These eels traverse the ocean; often hiding in rocky areas. They are mottled green to dark black in color. They have sharp teeth and will pursue and attack swimmers in their area.
