Hello! Thank you for your interest in Hunger Games RPG. This RPG run by Story Teller Seryna and assisted by Assistant Story Tellers Cutelikemurder and Kulvar. This is the comprehensive guide to the Hunger Games RPG and is every thing that you need to know about playing in this RPG. You do *not* have to know every thing in this FAQ. As your Story teller, I want to focus on the story first and the dice rolling second. If you are unsure on something or don't understand an element of the RPG, ask me, CLM or Kulvar. It is our job to paint a clear picture of the arena so that you have an enjoyable time playing a tribute. If you have never played WOD before, you are welcome here. You don't need the WOD CORE books or any of that. We will help you understand as much of it as you want to. Always do what your character would do and the STs will tell you if a roll is necessary. The gear that your character has on him will be crucial to his or her experience in the arena. Some areas are only accessible with gear provided at the Cornucopia or later bought through sponsor money. Gear is divided into numbered packs that you can reference in this post. More items are included in packs instead of single items this year.
You have the choice at the Blood Bath to choose any item from the items in the Tribute Gear post. If your character is a fighter and would be useless with a Med Kit, you can choose to always get weapons, armor and items like binoculars to help the tribute to find victims. Perhaps your fighter assumes s/he will dominate the Cornucopia and get the wealth, so the tribute ignores survival and food packs. If your character has poor survival skills, the tribute can choose to gather food, water and survival packs that will give modifiers to finding food in the arena. This is to allow your tribute to leave whenever s/he feels s/he has enough to survive. Each pack is a container just big enough to hold the items in question and has a shoulder strap. Five packs fit into one back pack; 10 packs fit into one duffel bag. This Games we are focusing on initiative - if two people are going for one full water bottle, the person with the highest initiative wins. You must make a five sentence post to pick anything up in the Blood Bath.

The Victor This experience point rule trumps all other XP determinations over the years. Older XP declarations are grandfathered in so do not adjust for the new rule. XP in the arena Tributes get - 3 xp on the 3rd day
- 6 xp for surviving the Feast
- 9 xp if theres a 9th day
- 6 xp for becoming victor
Mentors get 3 xp per year (if they participate in the Sponsor Hall) and 3 additional per tribute that becomes a victor in the years that follow. If they participate in extra events such as the Qualifying events and do very well [ such as 7 suxx in single roll at a Qualifying Event] , more XP can be awarded per ST discretion. In this game, the tributes also get hands on learning with their mentors. Each mentor has 6 xp to distribute to each of their tributes in the arena. Tributes don't have access to their Mentor's character sheets, so they need to work in game to learn their mentors talents and write ic a learning process.
