As the group planned, a silence fell. The acid rain had completed its nasty cycle.

Moving from the palm trees and green undergrowth that lines the ruined city, Jan leads the way towards the factory. Ember falls the farthest behind with Jasper and Isolde several yards behind Jan. As he crosses the open space towards the factory, he sees Victoria streaking towards the factory main entrance. Did she see him? She was only in sight for an instant.
Reaching the factory, Jan found the second gate securely locked and no key in sight. The nine foot high wire fence was topped with three layers of barbed wire.
At the front gate, Victoria gripped the lock at the front gate. She rattled the gate; but it held secure. Victoria attempted to mount the gate; but paused at the barbed wire. She hovered at the top of the gate for a minute; before sliding back down to the ground. Victoria turned and evaluated Eclypses' slow progress with the sleeping bag. Victoria began to circle the front of the gate, searching for a weak link.

As the acid storm died down and light started to slowly flood back into the room with the breaking of the cloud bank above, Lily switched off the headlamp and started looking around the factory they were holed up in. Going outside was probably not a good idea with the multitude of acidic puddles that were probably scattered around, so exploring inside was the next best thing to do while they waited for Sassinak to recover.
The first thing Lily found was a set of stairs leading up. Time to explore the rooms above them.

Jan Colton; District 9's Volunteer: The Boy With the Capitol Good LooksHe wasn't sure if Victoria saw him at this point. He was pretty sure he didn't care. There was nothing he could do about it if things went bad at this juncture save perhaps try and turn the sponsors against the Careers. Which meant he really didn't need to worry too hard about it right yet. It meant that he needed to start digging, and when they got to the fence, Jan tapped the lock on the gate, frowned, and then went down the side of the fence a bit until they had some sort of cover. The shovel is taken out of the quiver, and he hands it to his District-Mate. "I know. I hate it too. Digging sucks...but while they're cutting themselves to high heaven on barbed wire trying to go over, I figure we can attempt to go under the fence.
"Someone...Just...keep an eye on where I'm digging. They used mines last year on the pedestals. I don't want to get blown up. Someone else watch our backs and our flank. Don't want to get snuck up on while I'm working."With that, he starts pulling more solid things away from the chain link. Branches and big rocks and other things that would slow him down before he stabs the shovel into the dirt close to the chain-link and starts digging, pulling rocks and other large solid objects out of the way when he hit them. Hopefully, the Capitol didn't decide to put landmines underground... ...Was that even possible? 2012-12-06 21:32:14 Jan Colton rolled 5 dice to "Strength + Athletics" 3,7,4,10,4,1 (1 successes) 2012-12-06 21:33:21 Jan Colton rolled 5 dice to "Strength + Athletics" 6,10,5,2,6,10,10,2 (3 successes) 2012-12-06 21:33:50 Jan Colton rolled 5 dice to "Strength + Athletics" 5,3,8,8,3 (2 successes)

Felix nodded at Coral as she performed a quick procedure on his leg. “It’ll do fine, thank you, Coral. Sincerely, thank you.” He realised how much he was thanking the girl for her aid, but he figured that she deserved it. They all deserved his undying gratitude for sticking by him and helping him through the sticky situation his negligence and gotten them into. He smiled in the direction of the girl’s voice before taking the baseball bat that she pressed into the palm of his hand. “How nice it’d be to bash Brass’ skull with this... Yeah, Coral, this should help.” He beamed. He figured that he could use it as some kind of a walking stick-slash-obstacle detector. Walking was going to be extremely difficult in his condition, perhaps even impossible, but Felix wanted to remain positive for the rest of his alliance. He knew that he would die a lot faster because of his huge impairments, but they were trying to so hard for Sassinak and himself that he didn’t have the heart to tell them to leave the sevens to die. He couldn’t do that to Sassinak, and he definitely couldn’t do that to his family. “I think once we’re set to move, we should head for a different place. This structure is relatively safe from the elements as we’ve seen. But staying here would make us sitting ducks. Once Jan, Ember, Isolde and Jan get here I’ll feel a little less on edge. We’ll come up with a plan of action. Stay alert, though, check for any danger. We still haven’t had a sign of whether the Careers upheld their side of the agreement.” Felix sighed, “I’ll try and listen for any danger. It’s all I can do. Coral, you have Sass’ bow right? Any other weapons around?”They had to remain alert. Felix Grayling rolled 6 dice to "wits+composure" 7,2,4,10,2,6,5(1 successes)

Boomer, District 5 Male[/u]
Boomer stared at the scavenged stuff they'd found. With Coral's pipe he could make a bomb with his screws that would likely severely maim, if not kill, somoene...
But, he'd need explosives to do that. Explosives, in his mind, were easier to deal with than potential death at the hands of other tributes.
"Is it wise to trust 'em so soon?" he said quietly. "I mean, it ain't been 24 hours yet... What if they made some other deal with the careers?"

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” Ember quietly drops the bags near Jan before she, pulls out a knife and watches their flanks. “Sweetpea, watch Charming's hands, make sure he doesn't kill us all,” she whispers with a sense of urgency. “Grumpy, watch our other flanks.” Tonight is the night *****es die... She grinned darkly. “When you get through, Charming you go first. Then Sweetpea, Grump, and our gear. I'll come up last and try to figure out a way to cover up this hole.” Ember said. She gave Jan a meaningful look. If she didn't make it through, she hoped he knew what to do; how to make sure the mission didn't die with her. Ember Clay rolled 8 dice to "Wits+Comp" 10,3,6,10,2,8,5,6,5,1 (3 successes) Hit Points: 19/21 Willpower: 5/6

As Lily moved to the stairs, she found the stairs ill - lit and creaky. Flicking on the lamp, she ascended the staircase and found herself in a hallway facing four closed doors. From her view down stairs; she knew that the walls facing both gates had two windows. These doors had signs nailed to each door. The closest sign read 'Security' and featured a lock. The second read 'Medic' and had a red cross image. The third read 'Intelligence' and featured a book. The fourth door had the sign 'Plant research' and featured a blooming leaf. Which door was more attractive to Lily?
As Jan was working on the hole; Eclypse had reached the fence where Victoria waited. She impatiently took the sleeping bag from him, slung it over her shoulder and climbed the fence. With the padding of the sleeping bag, she as able to go over the fence with ease. "I prefer not to risk my hands." Eclypse shared through the fence. "Work on the lock. We need a way to get Brass in here." Victoria shared quietly. "I'll go see where the group is. Stay quiet. I don't want the mice to know that we're here."
The muscular girl moved to the window facing the main gate. Glancing within, she spotted Felix, Coral and Boomer. Due to her muscular frame causing the wooden porch to creak, Felix was alerted to a sound by the window. A sound of a foot step. Victoria turned and evaluated Eclypse's work on the lock. The lock was becoming more dented with each blow from the hilt of Eclypse's axe; but hung on. The girl turned and took up position at the front door, stretching her fingers.
Victoria rolled 8 dice to "Climbing fence & barbed wire" 7,8,8,1,3,6,10,1,9 (4 successes)
At the back gate, Jan committed to the dirt tunnel underneath the fence just as he heard a bashing noise from the front gate. They weren't alone. Isolde and Jasper wiggled through and headed towards the back door.
"Careful," Isolde warned. "- they may be expecting the car-" Jasper opened the back door; surprised that it wasn't barricaded at all. "Felix?" He whispered. "We've come to help. Don't shoot us. You have any one out front? There's noises..."
Victoria frowned, leaning her head around the house. Spotting Jan, Ember and crew, she crouched down behind the porch, her expression becoming thoughtful.Victoria rolled 2 dice to "Hiding porch" 3,8 (1 successes)

“I trust them because every tribute wants to take out the Career Pack. If they can help in doing that, your chances of winning are a lot higher.” Felix replied to Boomer, “How did I know I could trust you, or Lily, or Coral, or Sassinak? I just did. And you’ve all proven that you’re worth trusting. Believe in me here, man. I’m trying to do what’s best for you.”
Felix was alerted to a sound outside. He didn’t want to take any chances. “There’s someone on the porch. I heard the wood creak. Stay alert.” He said quietly. He stretched out a hand and shook Sassinak’s shoulder gently. “Sass, wake up.” He said, shaking her a little harder, “Sass. Wake up. We’re not alone.” Felix didn’t speak loudly out of fear that it would alert the person or people outside. For all he knew, however, it could have been one of the four they were expecting. Couldn’t take chances, though.
As the back door opened, Felix felt despair shoot through his system. They had them surrounded. He shook Sassinak again, feeling awfully sorry that he was denying her of much needed rest, and then listened to what was happening. What else could he do?
"Felix?....We've come to help. Don't shoot us. You have any one out front? There's noises...”
The voice was vaguely familiar; he hadn’t heard Jasper or Isolde speak very much at all. But being the ridiculously trusting person that he was, Felix decided to go on his instincts. “We’re all inside, that’s an unwanted guest if it’s not one of yours.” Felix replied in whisper.
“Coral, be ready to take people out. Boomer, go get Lily. We need all the people we’ve got if the Careers have come for us already.” Felix ordered.

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” Well, the careers are already here. Ember looks at Jan through the fence. “I just spotted, Princess. And she just spotted us.” she said. “I think the cat's outta of the bag... Or it will be soon.” Then the killing begins... Ember fed the bags of gear through the hole under the fence before she worked on concealing the hole. She went using the materials around her to make a realistic covering for the hole. Then she shimmied on through herself. She nodded to Jan and started to pick up some of the gear, following Jasper inside, and frowning at the lack of guards at important posts. Ember had already been here for less than a few minutes at she already knew someone should be back here at this door. The fact that no one was there, worried her. After all they were an alliance. Ember threw the bags of gear on the ground inside the factory. She looked at Felix and the others. “You're damn right, unwanted guests. One of them is Victoria, behind the porch. I didn't see anyone else. But I'm almost certain that they are there.” She opened the bag of weapons. “Weapons. For Tiny, I gotta knife (+2) and a set of throwing knives (+2), an axe for Broody and Butterfly, I've got an shiny axe (+3) and a less shiny Bow (+2), and for the Mermaid I got that thingy-thing she was using at the 'Bath (+3). I dunno what Boom-Boom fights with but there's all kinds of stuff here. There's food, water, and other stuff. But that's gonna have to wait. Right now, get yourselves ready because it's about to go down.” Ember Clay rolled 8 dice to "Wits+Comp" 1,10,8,5,5,2,4,5,9 (3 successes) Ember Clay rolled 8 dice to "Wits+Survival " 2,9,5,2,3,3,8,1 (2 successes) Hit Points: 19/21 Willpower: 5/6

Sassinak roused groggily, rubbing her eyes. She made a shocked proclamation when she attempted to move her missing arm. The girl had not yet adjusted for her new condition. She straightened and pulled herself afoot, standing besides Felix.
"The careers." She breathed, worried. "We should barricade the doors, shouldn't we?" She indicated the four machines to Ember, Jan, Jasper and Isolde with her remaining hand. "Do you think we could move those? Those only four windows on this floor..."
She glanced towards Ember. "Thankyou, Ember. I've actually traded weapons with Coral due to... circumstances..."

Jan Colton; District 9's Volunteer: The Boy with the Capitol Good Looks[/u][/color] Jan came into the room, his own bags dropped on the floor before he put his finger to his lips in the universal gesture of 'quiet'. At Sassinak's suggestion, he nodded, pointing to the thing and then at Jaspar before mouthing 'Let's get this moved'. At worst, it would buy them some time. At best? The Careers would get bored and leave. Or go hunt someone else. He points to the door they'd just come through. Lock that. "We need to get Felix someplace more defensible." The other boy was looking...bad. Very bad. "SING, JACE! SING!"
Jace was shaking his head, even as Jan and Max shoved him onto the little makeshift stage. The Harvest Festival was in full swing, as always, and it had almost become tradition for them to make Jace sing at least once. Other people did it, but Jace always seemed content to sit someplace and listen until everyone was a little drunk and a little excited and people were dancing and having a good time.
It might not be one of those big Capitol parties, but the Harvest Festival and Bonfire was the party everyone looked forward to every year.
But Jace was shaking his head and laughing, even as the banjo and guitar started something happy and upbeat that they all knew would become even faster and more celebratory. The men--all a bit older--were waiting, playing the chord over and over until Jace gave in.
[/i] "And I came home Like a stone And I fell heavy into your arms These days of darkness Which we've known Will blow away with this new sun
And I'll kneel down Wait for now And I'll kneel down Know my ground
And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you..."
Jan could only grin as Pa finally pulled Ma out to dance, and for not the first time he envied Jace that gift he had. To make you forget, for just a little while, all the darkness.
For just awhile.[/blockquote] Jan swallowed, kneeling in front of the District 7 Tribute. "Felix. It's Jan." He looked so...small, and Jan blinked just once to clear the vision of another person in Felix's place. Another person very, very important.... ...It was enough to firm his resolve. Brass was gunning for him. Hardcore. This was one head Brass would not have on his belt. Not if Jan could help it. "We're going to move you someplace safer. My hand to The One and my promise on Jace's very soul: We'll get you someplace safer, and then we'll fortify."There's a meaningful look to Ember, before he looked around at the others. "Has anyone been anywhere but down here yet? IS there a place we can go? Is there another way in or out? Any place that can be fortified?
"We need a plan, and we need it now, if they're coming through that door soon."

"Four doors upstairs with locks." Lily commented, having rejoined the group at the sound of voices downstairs. "Wouldn't mind sticking around to have a closer look inside those if we can pull that off."
The female Fiver retrieved all 11 of her knives from Ember with a grateful smile. These would certainly come in handy... unfortunately sooner than she'd hoped for but at least they had a fighting chance now.
"If anyone's got something I can use to pick, I'm fairly handy with locks." Lily offered up her talents to the enlarged collective she was part of.

Felix jumped when Sassinak made a sound in shock, before realising that she must not have expected to wake up without an arm. He swallowed hard. Felix wasn’t used to being unable to see at all, and his leg was still agonisingly painful. He realised that he must have looked green because that was how he felt; he felt like he would be sick from the pain and the discomfort. Having more people around just made him feel even worse; more lives to worry about.
He was deeply regretting refusing Brass’ offer.
Listening to Jan, Felix felt a little surprised. The boy sounded genuinely worried about him, which was nice but Felix hadn’t expected it. Jan, while funny and genuinely nice to look at, seemed like he was in it to win it. Helping Felix wouldn’t give him anything, would it? But with a nod, Felix smiled. He realised that his smiles must have looked very, very strange without them reaching his eyes. At least they were blindfolded; he didn’t look like some kind of a monster with slits for eyes.
“Thank you...” He said to Jan, and used the baseball bat to attempt to stand up. His leg seared with pain and he sucked air sharply through his teeth. Using the bat, his back against the wall, his arm and his working leg, Felix pulled himself into semi-standing position, leaning against the baseball bat and the wall for support. “Damn Brass. Damn him to Hell.” Felix groaned in pain.
“I guess one of the doors upstairs could be a good safe place. For me, and for Sassinak. She’s injured too, and if they can’t get me they’ll want Sass.” Felix’s tone it wasn’t up for argument, “I’ll die before I let that meathead have her life.”
Felix cringed in pain as he tried to move. “Block the door, don’t let them in. If they get in, take them by surprise. Thanks for the axe, Ember, but if any of you can use it now, then please do. I can’t do anything in this state. If any of the rest of you can man a bow, you can fire at them as they try to come in. Any idea who’s out there? Someone musta stayed with Brass, right?”

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” Ember wasn't good at small talk and her bedside manner left a lot to be desire of. She wasn't useful here, talking with Felix and making sure everyone had their heads on straight. That Jan. He was the star; the smooth talker, the boy with voice as sweet as honey. With a hand on Jan's shoulder, Ember leaned in a whispered, “I'm gonna post up at the windows and keep an eye on the gate. Whatever you're 'bout to do Charmin', make it fast.” She nodded to Sassinak. “Well, then it's yours and Mermaid's got the bow. Sweetpea, find a perch with a clear shot at the Careers. I prefer you takin' the high ground but Tiny tells us that the upstairs is locked. Me and Grumpy'll watch the front.” Ember took her time when she went to the windows, trying to stay low, stay hidden, and stay quiet. She peaked out the windows trying to get a look of what the careers were doing. Boomer, District 5 Male[/u]
"I'm good with making things... but not so much with the fighting," Boomer said. He then held out one of the little screwdrivers he'd found to Lily. "You'll need to find a pick to go with it, but this'll work for a tension wrench better than one of your knives."
He let his gaze drift back and forth, then settled on Felix as he spoke again. "I'm not much for fighting, but I can help Felix limp upstairs. If I had more time I could make him a crutch."

"Okay, I need a thin piece of metal, like a wire or... a needle from the first aid kit!" Perfect! Lily gestured to Coral.
"Hand it over and I'll have this door locked in a jiffy. Then we can get it barricaded." the Fiver informed the group eagerly. With the door locked and the barricade in place, she could help Boomer get Felix upstairs and tackle that locked Security door while she was at it.

Coral poked about the first aid kit and handed over the requested needle to Lily. She handed the first aid kit to Boomer, stating. "Make sure that they don't start bleeding again. The movement may tear..." She trails off, spotting movement at one of the windows facing the front gate. Victoria peeks her head in, marking where the tributes were on the main floor. She ducks down, pressing her body close under the window. It would be impossible to shoot her from the window unless someone opened the window itself, making themselves open to the tributes' strong arms. Coral accepted the fine bow that Ember had brought and Jasper passed her one of his quivers containing fifty arrows. Coral glanced upstairs, noting.
"If Lily can unlock a door; we can set up bowmen at the window and pick them off as they come in. How long will it take you to open a door?"
Sassinak accepted the fine chakram and tucked it on her belt. With her good hand, she slipped an arm around Felix's waist. "The staircase is old and creaky, Felix, but we can get up it. Actually..." Sassinak tilted her head at the staircase.
"Its a choke point. If we get upstairs, we can shoot at any one coming upstairs. They can also only come up two at a time. Even though we have the numbers advantage."
She refrained from mentioning that two of the 'advantage' were severely injured. Sassinak began to maneuver Felix up the stairs, eagerly awaiting Boomer's aid.
Jasper joined Jan at the wood lathe. The two boys tested the weight and realized that it was going to be a work out. "Go ahead and work on the lock," Jasper suggested to Lily. "This may take a minute."
[Moving the lathe requires 5 suxx, each roll represents five minutes of work. Jasper rolled 6 dice to "Moving lathe" 5,5,3,1,4,9 (1 successes) ]
Coral decided to do something about the career at the window, taking the hammer and jar of nails that had been found. With the back of the hammer, she broke off a section of wooden slabs from the box. Coral placed two wooden slabs against the window that she had seen Victoria at, pounding the wooden slabs in place.
Coral rolled 5 dice to "Reinforcing window" 3,9,1,9,10,9 (4 successes) "They won't be coming in that window..." She shares.

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” “****.” Ember moved away from the windows when she saw Victoria. The knife went back into it's sheath and she returned to Jan and the others. “Princess is inside the fence; out that window.” She nodded toward Victoria's direction. Ember was about to rattle off a plan when Sassinak spoke. The girl from district 12 stared at her alliance mate for a moment and then she grinned. New plan. “I say Tiny works on the locks while Boom-Boom and Butterfly help Broody up those steps. Charmin', might need you down here blockin' more windows. You too, Sweetpea. The second. And I mean the very second you are done, you take what bags you can, and you book it upstairs as fast as you can. Me and Grumpy are going to follow you when we get this big thing in place.
“Everyone should find a perch, take cover and if anything moves on the ground outside, you kill it.” She hoped that people understood that things where about to get real in the next few moments. “We make a stand at the top of the steps if they make that far.” Ember paused again. “But I don't want them to make it that far. I think we can all agree we don't want that.” Ember went to work, helping Jasper move the lethe into place. "What about the others? Are they in yet?"If it was only Victoria, he doubted she was coming in right away without backup. If she saw the sheer amount of Tributes in here? It would just be silly for her to do it. At the very least, it was four against one. That wasn't counting Lily and Boomer and Coral, all of whom seemed completely intact... ...And now they were armed. Felix...he needed help, and soon, and he really, really hoped his Mentors came through if only to make the fighting easier. He had a small army of them, so they really should. He only had Lyme, and she'd come through for him ridiculously fast. One thing was certain though: If it came right down to it? Brass would not get that kill. Jan would snatch it right out from under him, and Jan would do it fast. Painless. Felix, like Jace, was too good a person for this world. With that, he started helping Jaspar move the lathe in front of the door. Little Lily...seemed she was much like his baby-sister. Could get in and out of anywhere given enough time, and that was a skill that would be useful. Never underestimate the power of a tiny tribute. "This thing is heavy as sin. Anyone standing around idle, we'd love a bit of help."2012-12-08 14:35:54 Jan Colton rolled 6 dice to "Strength + Athletics" 3,5,3,6,10,6,8 (2 successes)

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” She was sitting down outside...
Her father was near her, leaning up against something so he didn't have to put much weight on his bad leg. He smelled weird. She remembered that he always smelled weird. Like honey but if it was treated with poison. His skin was pasty, the dark olive of his skin tone had washed out to a shinny, sickly pale over the years. Her father used to be handsome, or so she was told. After they told her that she favored him. The dark hair, the grey eyes; that Seam look. The one that almost everyone else in Seam had. She had gotten that from him... or from as she suspected one of these poor saps that thought her mother was something special and didn't mind disrespecting her father in such a way.
She would look up at him from time to time when she felt the weight of his gaze on her. His eyes held such a deep sorrow that she was almost sure that whatever happened to him to make him the way he was, started way before that mining accident that cost him his job and sense of independence.
He was broken. Like her.
“Maybe we should head home, Baby Girl,” he said after awhile. “Cindy is bedding down for the night. You can check on her in the morning.”
Icy cold grey eyes meet his. And whatever he saw made him flinch.
“No,” she replied. “Something always goes down at night.” “The machine's in place.” Ember broke away from Jasper and Isolde. She went to the window, next to the one that Coral had boarded up and did the same with that one. She then went into her bag and got some of the wire for snares. At the foot of the stairs, Ember ran some of the wire across. If a career rushed up those stairs, they might not see the wire and trip. That would buy them a few seconds. “Okay, let's go.” Ember said. She looked at Jan “I dunno if Princess was with anyone. But I'm almost certain Shadow, Champ, and Sweetness is with her.” Ember picked up a few bags and nodded toward the upstairs. She wouldn't go up there unless Jan made a move toward the stairs. “There's a bit of snare wire here. So here's to hoping everyone here watches their step and no one out there does..” Ember Clay rolled 6 dice to "Hide Trip Wire" 3,6,6,4,4,7 (0 successes) Ember Clay rolled 9 dice to "Trip Wire on the Steps" 8,9,1,9,3,4,7,8,4 (4 successes) Ember Clay rolled 8 dice to "Board up Window" 3,7,7,3,9,10,3,7,6 (2 successes) Hit Points: 19/21 Willpower: 5/6

Felix bit the inside of his cheek as he moved across to the stairs. His leg felt like it was on fire, and the fact that he couldn’t see meant that he lost his footing a lot. As he got to what he presumed was the bottom of the staircase, he felt an arm slip around his waist and then heard Sassinak’s voice right in his ear. He listened to her and nodded, gritting his teeth as they began their ascent up the stairs. He didn’t want to put too much, or any, weight on Sassinak out of fear that she may collapse. Then they’d both be spread face down on a staircase with no way to move.
Putting weight on the leg hurt, but not as much as trying to move it. The severed hamstring meant that he couldn’t actually walk, and the pipe keeping his leg straight was the only thing that allowed him to put a marginal amount of weight on it. He could feel tears in his sightless eyes, being soaked up by the blindfold. The pain was so excruciating that he actually wished that Brass had just killed him and been done with it.
WEAKLING!
Alder again. Felix choked, the words piercing through his mind like Brass’ sword. He pushed forward, trying to get to the top of the stairs without causing Sassinak too much distress. “Don’t die. Any of you. Don’t die.” Felix said to the tributes down the stairs. He didn’t know how far up he was, and his lack of bearings was becoming ever more frustrating. Lack of sight had made Felix angry at the world, not just Brass. He hated the Capitol even more for making these teens go through such torture. He despised them almost as much as he despised Brass.
He swore at that moment that, should he somehow win these Games, he would find a way to make everyone who orchestrated these horrific Games cease to exist. At that moment, Felix allowed himself to think of the disgusting things he wanted to. Like killing Brass, like feeling Brass’ life slip away by his hands. He didn’t care anymore.
Felix clenched his teeth and carried on limping up the stairs.

Boomer, District 5 Male[/u]
Boomer slipped his arm around Felix's back and pulled the other boy's arm across his shoulders. "Lean on me. Keep your weight off your bad leg. Wish I could make you a crutch... or something with wheels'd be even better. Ain't nobody else dying today."
Boomer moved with Felix, helping him carefully upstairs to the hallway Lily had described. He hoped it didn't come down to fighting in the little rooms... they'd get bloody fast and didn't seem to have any way out.

Ember Clay: District Twelve Female Tribute, “The Girl Who Loved to Play with Fire” “Easy, Broody... A bit of trip wire here,” Ember said, quietly as Felix, Boomer, and Sassinak walked by her. And when Felix called out to them she almost smiled before she told herself to knock it off. She couldn't like Felix. She couldn't like any of them. They weren't friends. None of them were friends. Still, Ember looked at him and sincerely replied, “Dying tonight ain't a part of the plan.” Ember looked at Jan, her gaze darkening. She went back to work on concealing the trip wire at the bottom of the stairs. “Alright, let's get this gear and meet up upstairs,” she said once she was done. Ember Clay rolled 6 dice to "Hide Trip Wire" 8,2,2,8,4,2 (2 successes) Hit Points: 19/21 Willpower: 5/6
